Almost every single project...

More of a time to do it issue than overcoming the thought of doing it though. I have about ten thousand projects that all need to be done. I'll be dead before they are all finished.

Time and money.
>>
>>2969601
Seriously just time for me. I already have the equipment and tools to do basically anything I would ever want to, just wish the days were 4x longer or I had less daily stuff to take care of. The daily chores eat up a ton of my time, but is also the reason that money isn't really an issue... Always some catch 22 isn't it!

Building a plywood boat. I want to make a tiny one but the biggest issue is that I don't have the space.
I really want to start with the smallest simplest thing possible just to get a better understanding but even that is challenging when you don't have a nice shed or at least a sizeable outdoor space.
Maybe this year I can move to a place with a bit of a yard at least.

>finding the leak in my irrigation system.
>fixing the creaking floor boards in my kitchen. I have to crawl under it to do it.
>The the 1940's RCA 45 record player I made the mistake of fully taking apart.
>Replacing the display in my cambridge soundworks radio after I had previously replaced the LED's in it. Its a giant pain in the ass to get to.
>finding someone to fix the paint job on my truck. last time I tried no one returned my emails, online requests, or phone calls.
>controlling my chiliean mesquite tree. pro tip if you have one; never water them.
>being the person everyone I know relies on when the chips are down and shit hits the fan. It's exhausting.
>any phone call from my brothers.

Cleaning up my workshop. I know that realistically it's just few hours of effective cleaning and I would have nice clean workshop. But I just can't get started on it and I always find something "more important" to do when I would have time to do it.
>>
>>2969587
We spent two years dealing with a busted net wrap feed roller on our round baler fucking up our net wrap and making us stop and fix it every 5th or 6th bale because we were afraid of tearing into the baler, those things are complicated. Once we decided to do it, it took less than an hour and worked perfectly after that. Lmao.
>>
>>2969793
the best way to do it is one part at a time, don't think about cleaning it all just put aay one tool, then sort the drill btis, then put those bolts away, then put the hand tools back, then the crap metal in one box instead of all over the bench, same for scrap wood, etc etc untill it is done.
i do my projects like this now, one step at a time, around work.
>>2969823
it happens so often, do not struggle, just get in there. in the same vein, i just fixed two extractor fans at work, they were going to spend over a grand getting new ones. one of them just needed a new fuse and some glue, the other just worked when i re-assembled it despite doing nothing to it.

Hanging drywall in my already framed basement.

It’s moreso the thought of having to ask someone for help, because i have neither a van nor a truck, then i need to bring the drywall downstairs.

Probably would take a literal day max, i just keep finding other things to do.

I'm dealing with this right now- I'm going to pick up a 36" TV on Sunday, so I need something to put it on, I've decided to use a dresser from upstairs but getting that fucking thing down here by myself is proving to be a mess simply in terms of making the space for it, let alone actually bringing it down here.
Oh, and it's a CRT, so it's going to weigh like 200 pounds. Half as much as me, but still, that's a lot.

Cleaning the basement. For some reason the washed beton really puts me off.

My shit forever project is a 72in fire table that I've been trying to make from scratch for 3 years now. At this point I hate working on it. It's about 70% done and looks nice but I have no idea how to finish it and I want to throw it away and reclaim my space. It'll probably just fucking explode when I finally hook up the propane because I know nothing about making sure it's safe.

You know Wake on LAN is just a single line of code right? To call that a “project” devalues the word. You seem to be making a mountain out of a molehill.

It's actually an ESP based device with a LAN8720 and an Ethernet port so that it can connect to wifi and my PC through the RJ45 port simultaneously and send a single frame to wake up my non networked PC when I tell it to, using it's ip address
Ive designed the PC board and got it manufactured but i realised i don't need this device as much as i thought so i never assembled it

Thanks for the suggestion, outriggers and proa-like boats are interesting, not sure if it's necessarily easier to store but they look like fun boats and not terribly complicated to construct.

Why ? Is it an antenna ? If so why is it so close to other traces ?
>>
>>2971019
Start with woodworking, it's the basics of mechanics. Wood is inexpensive and forgiving compared to metalwork, many mechanical geniuses started out with wood and early machinery was always mostly made of wood.

Look into Mathias Wandel's stuff, he's really good and doesn't use fancy tools or techniques.

>>2969587
I have a hand powered benchtop metal planer I really want to put back to work but it just takes so much time and I have so much other stuff to do.
>>
>>2971127
It's not an antenna, it's the ethernet port. For 10/100BASE-T the ethernet lines must be 100Ω differential matched. Skew matching is not very necessary but i did it anyway
But what's the point, the components and the boards are lying in my closet. I have no will to build this device
