Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on an online document translation tool and wanted to share it here to get some honest feedback.

The main problem I tried to solve is that most translation tools break document structure — layouts, styles, headings, lists, tables, and spacing.
This project focuses specifically on preserving the original formatting while translating.

What it currently supports:

Document formats:

DOCX, DOC, DOCM

DOT, DOTX, DOTM

ODT, RTF, XML

Languages:

English

Russian

Serbian (Latin)

Serbian (Cyrillic)

German

French

Spanish

Portuguese

Arabic

Japanese

Chinese

Typical use cases are business and technical documents: reports, contracts, manuals, and internal documentation.

The project is still at an early stage, so I’m mainly looking for:

feedback from people who translate documents regularly

real-world edge cases where formatting usually breaks

suggestions on what matters most in professional document translation tools

If you’re interested, you can take a look here:

Happy to answer questions or hear criticism — that’s exactly why I’m posting.
