How do I fix this?
Round it off
>>2974501I figure it can be patched without anything that extreme, but I'm worried baout making it blend in and looking nice.
>>2974496You'll need to tap that corner bead back into place first, then it's start applying drywall compound and being all artistic and shit.
>>2974496I would cut the corner with a metal hacksaw then patch it.
>>2974512There's a metal strip like a thick wire at the corner. Could I use a hammer to tap it straight and 'excavate' the corner out in the approximate area you outlined?
>>2974496are you really that stupid?
>>2974520I guess so. I know there's patch kits and stuff, but this is on a corner in a pretty visible area and want to make sure it looks really good and not like a patch job.
>>2974496drywall compound. Stipple it with a brush to match texture.
>>2974509I'm sorry I somehow missed your post when I posted >>2974515 Thank you.>>2974524Thank you.
Spackle them cracks
>>2974523>want to make sure it looks really good and not like a patch job.take your time, build up slowly, add the dipples, primer it, recheck the dipples, primer it again, paint the whole wall and around the corner on the short side in picture
>>2974515No. To fix it you have to remove the whole angle and replace it.
>>2974542>>2974596I'll give it a go. Thank you.>>2974597I think I'll try without the mesh first like other anons have mentioned since it's pretty small. Might try that if it doesn't work. Thank you though.
>>2974515It's a corner like pic related, not a wire.
>>29744961. Stop living in a cardboard house.2. Use plaster: first using a flat object like a cd rom case or related(something with a flat face, easy to clean), put said flat object like pic related, now fill with plaster this face(red wall in pic related) first, just use the tip of your fingers. Let it dry and now repeat the same procedure with the other face if the wall. Don't forget clean the faces of the flat object before the plaster dries on it. Don't forget pour a bit of water on the the superface of the wall that will receive the plaster, same like the face of the flat object that will have contact with the plaster.
you're welcome
>>2974496mud it then sand it smooth to the profilethen dash, or flick, the mud at the smooth part as best you can to match the texture. Roll paint on in 3 or four times.
>>2974679>>2974772Worked 12 hour shift yesterday and am today too. But will try soon. Thank you.>>2974687kek
>>2974775>spend half of the day working >stil without having money to pay to other person to fix his wall so he must do it by himself Those avocado toasts don't look so tasty now, right?
Thank you for the recommendations anons. I was able to fix it without cutting a section of the wall out or replacing the metal bead. I scraped out the loose bits, straightened the bead out a little by bracing a slotted screw driver against it and tapping with a hammer. Then filled it in with plaster, which took a couple of layers to get filled in fully. Then sanded it down and painted over it. Thank you.
>>2975298He did it !!
>>2975298Alright but which anon gave you the best answer?
>>2975656There were lots of helpful posts.>>2974509>>2974524>>2974542>>2974679>>2974772>>2974596
>>2975683All me btw
With something like this
>>2975298That looks like shit. You need to add texture to blend it in. Get some spackle, dry or wet compound and water it down a lot. Like thin lotion, you want it runny. Then get a stiff bristle brush and dip it in the compound. Hold the brush facing the wall and pull the bristle back so the liquid is flicked on the wall. It will take some practice to get right but is the only way without a whole sprayer setup. Those spray cans look like complete garbage.
>>2977254U look like shit
>>2974687>File: fixed.jpgI used to do property maintenance. When I visited a property I checked behind EVERY poster taped to the wall.
>>2977254I had originally intended trying to mimic the texture, but I think it looks pretty good, especially since it's down at shin level.
>>2977412It's fucking trash, you botched it hard
