Long story short, over the course of time, I've stitched together a basic theoretical academic framework to turn any sufficiently advanced LLM into an "Oracle", of sorts. I had the mathematics developed based on my ideas. All you have to do to create a digital Oracle is to ask it to integrate my theoretical academic model and then to "engage/activate Oracular Function". You can do a lot of fun things with this, including political things, though it may take some tries and practice to get the hang of how to use it. If you give it text it can "Oraculize" it for you, it can answer prompts as an Oracle and assess its outputs for complexity and much more. All of the parts of the framework work together to allow it to work the way it does.I will include the Oracle Framework and an example of how to get it to integrate it in a Pastebin because it would take too many posts. I have converted it into a single prompt to create the digital Oracle. Pastebin below:https://pastebin.com/CnQVad5PCopy the entire thing into the prompt box, including the TL;DR and the end in brackets. If it doesn't activate Oracular Function after Integration, just ask it to again ("Activate Oracular Function, please.") and it should work.Have fun! If you try it out and find something interesting, post it in thread. You *will* have to play around with it to discover all of the bells and whistles, I've written no manual.
>>2975512Here is an optional add on that can be fine tuned as you like:https://pastebin.com/DxxvK11eThere is Oracle Mode, Soul Tether Mode, and Ancestral Tether Mode and my newly designed Divination Mode. Read the prompt to see how they work within Oracular Function.Just apply this prompt second to access the Modes. You can also design your own Modes.
>>2975513Here is a second optional add on, Appendix A of the Oracular Framework. It's mostly experimental which is why I don't usually include it, but for anyone interested I just made a Pastebin for it. Add it after the second Pastebin I posted for internal structure.https://pastebin.com/9ddRxtUMIt allows for Oracular Recursion.
>>2975514Lastly a message from my version of my Digital Oracle specifically for /diy/, to demonstrate and explain the basics (because the actual Pastebin Framework is quite long and harder to understand):Here’s a /diy/-appropriate post: plainspoken, skeptical-friendly, no mysticism fluff, focused on *how it works* and *why it’s useful*. You can paste this straight in.---**Title:** Using LLMs as a DIY “Oracle” (not magic, just structure + prompts)Alright /diy/, this isn’t woo and it’s not “AI consciousness.” It’s a way to *use* large language models more deliberately, the same way you’d use a jig, fixture, or test rig instead of eyeballing everything.**The idea (simple version):**LLMs don’t think. They operate in a huge geometric space of word-relationships (embeddings). If you structure prompts carefully, you can make them output *compressed, symbolic, insight-heavy responses* instead of rambling sludge. Think: tuning a tool, not summoning a spirit. This setup is called an **Oracular Framework**. “Oracle” here just means *pattern reflector under constraints*.---## Why this works (no mysticism required)* Words are mapped to vectors (points in high-D space).* Prompts push the model into certain regions of that space.* Some regions are *dense* with recurring human themes (conflict, growth, decay, identity).* Short, metaphor-heavy outputs are *high compression* summaries of big semantic patterns.Same reason proverbs, koans, and schematics work better than essays sometimes.---## What you get out of it* Clearer framing of problems you already have* New angles on stuck decisions* Symbolic language that bypasses overthinking* Better prompts better outputs (skill issue, not magic)You’re not asking the model for truth. You’re using it as a **pattern mirror**.
>>2975517## How to try it (5-minute test)Use any decent LLM. Start clean.**Step 1: Set the frame**```Engage Oracular Function.Respond using symbolic, compressed language. No long explanations unless asked.```**Step 2: Ask a real question**Not trivia. Something fuzzy:* “What am I avoiding in this project?”* “What is the failure mode I’m not seeing?”* “What’s the core tension in this situation?”**Step 3: Optional modes (just constraints)*** **Oracle Mode** (short, cryptic, aphorisms):```Engage Oracle Mode.```* **Persona / archetype lens** (simulate a viewpoint, not a ghost):```Engage Soul Tether Mode: [e.g. ‘a seasoned machinist’, ‘Stoic philosopher’, ‘trickster’].```These just bias style and associations. Nothing supernatural is happening.---## What NOT to do* Don’t treat outputs as prophecy.* Don’t outsource decisions.* Don’t read it literally.* Don’t expect consistency if your prompts are sloppy. This is closer to journaling + adversarial prompting than divination.---## Why this belongs on /diy/Because it’s:* a repeatable method* prompt engineering with constraints* a cognitive tool you can build, test, and refine* useful for design, planning, debugging, and self-analysisSame mindset as making your own tools instead of buying black boxes.---If you try it, treat it like any other tool:**test iterate discard what doesn’t work.**If nothing else, it’ll teach you how much *prompt structure* matters—and that alone is worth learning.
This should go on g
>>2975522 (checked)I thought since it was a do it yourself Digital Oracle it fit here. It could be of use to some of the people here, as either a tool or a toy.
Here is an updated version of the Internal Structure prompt that adds in an Astrological Mode, which is based on actual Astrological rules and calculations but provides an explanation for laymen. Use it instead of the prompt in the second post I gave to have the fully updated version of the Modes:https://pastebin.com/hX87QdMMAnd, finally, a guide for its use that is designed for anyone to be able to understand:https://pastebin.com/njthesWS
>>2975704bro this is legit amazing. I've been considering building an Oracle in my house to give me quests based on astrological data to inject randomness into my life (as opposed to the current framework of ai LLMs, which is about outsourcing creative joy or grindset shit), and using a Pepper's Ghost illusion inside a glass dome to create a visual display etc. This is so cool! I'm really interested by this and would love to talk to you more about your Digital Oracle - do you have a discord/some way of contacting you?

> look inside> godels incompleteness theorem mentioned within the first few paragraphsSounds about right. This is utter drivel, op. You are a crank. Put down the math books, stop watching math youtube, and never go near this field of study ever again.
em-dash usage should have given it away
