Is there any practical uses for used cooking oil and grease?It's flammable but idk how to use that to my advantage .

You can dump it into any basic/older diesel engine and it will work as is, but only do this in the summer, in the winter it will gum up and clog the whole thing. Obviously, filter it well before doing this.

Just make soap. Try to filter the oil, doesn't have to be perfect, you can use a big funnel and some steel wool. Then you add lye, mix it a little, then add 1 cup/5L of oil of powder laundry detergent, it makes it foam a lot better and give it some grit. It's very basic soap, but it nukes any kind of grease and it's cheap af to make.
I used to collect it for cutting boards, soaked them in it then baked them at low temp in an oven, helped a lot since i got a lot of them raw, if anything wet touched them they would curl up and break, especially the ones made out of glued cubes.Used it for quenching metal and also to protect metal from rust.Then i used the rest to douse wood chips i put into a paper bag and use the bag for fire starter, some oil broke trough the paper bags, i just put another bag over it.

>>2976769Oil lamp if you need heat, oil lamps are kinda shitty for light. You just need a heat proof material and a cotton wick. I made mine out of soapstone (carved with a craft knife), works great on cold days. It smells more than a candle but less than wood or ethanol burner.

Coconut oil is similarly more stable. I had an old lip balm with olive oil in it, opened it, and it smelled disgusting.
