Are these a meme? Are they ok to live in? Are they meant to last?Thinking about buying some land and having one of these shipped to me. How fleeced do you get paying someone else to put it together?I worked for a guy who built these but I only lasted like 2 weeks on the job before getting hurt so I didn't get to see much of the process.
Yo is this a shitpost? Dont know anytthing about log cabine. Maybe try building it yourself.
Why would you want to build a miniature Bass Pro Shop? Build something that is optimized for the environment you settle in.>inB4 women wont like it
You cant get fleeced if you build all of it. the wiring the sceptic tank all that shit.>butSilent gens built their houses when they got back from wwii
>>2977953These things come with instructions. However you'll get fleeced anyway. Not for the guy to build it, but the necessary tools. Bonus; your local building permits.
>>2978037rural areas (in some places at least) don't have any enforced building codeshere only electrical and plumbing has code I believe, as long as you aren't in any metro counties or specific cities
>>2978017>Maybe try building it yourself. You need a bunch of tools. When I worked for the guy he had his own manual crane thing to lift the logs once we started getting up high enough. That shit couldn't have been cheap.
After googling some more apparently these count as a "manufactured house" and only last around 50 years and then the wood starts rotting. So that's kind of a bummer. I figured they would be more durable than the drywall and vinyl thing just because they look old timey.
>>2978077>rural areas (in some places at least) don't have any enforced building codesYes, yes and it's all wonderful till countie starts looking for money.
