I have 15 doors and a full kitchen to repaint as a short term fix till I replace the whole kitchen and potentially till I replace the doors also with something more modern. They're currently varnished pine. Can I just prime and paint or do I have to sand absolutely everything first? Some of the kitchen cabinets are painted so I figured I might have to sand them but not sure about the doors and it'd save me a lot of time and hassle if I didn't have to sand the doors also.
Yeah, you're not gonna get a good contact surface with varnish

>>2979821They make chemical stripper, way faster just costs more
>>2979822I'll look into it. Thank you
>>2979819Yes but not endlessly. You don’t have to remove all varnish just get it a consistent 180 grit surface fat and dust free, use correct primer if you know what the varnish is else shellac primer works on almost anything. If old varnish and new paint are both acrylic then just sand it 1-2 passes directly with 180 and youre fine
>>2979819Why bother if you are going to replace them? This is woman-tier.
