Why does everyone seem to like this kind of flooring (LVP)? I would never put it in anywhere and would rather put in carpet, real hardwood, ceramic tile, Vinyl Composition Tile squares, or even standard linoleum.

A couple of the rooms that previous owners remodeled in our house have it and I completely forget it's not hardwood.

People see a beat up hardwood floor that's 50 years old and think it's "icky". Then they either tear it out because they don't know you can refinish them or they see the cost of refinishing and think "I can slap in some cheap LVP on top of it for a 1/3 of the cost" and have to replace it in 5 years
It looks nice, is cheap and practical. You only hate it because it's popular.
