Say I was thinking about at some point buying some land, and living on it as simply as I could manage, what kind of skills (carpentry, electrical, etc) would make that easier or let me set up at least a half-way livable house there, bearing in mind I don't know a fucking thing at this point but would be willing put some time in toward learning different things. Also bearing in mind the type of house I'd build shouldn't cost too much or be too difficult/timeconsuming to build in case the permit jew came after me at some point.

Off grid huh? Build a nice house just to stave in it. Good plan. How about hunting, gathering, or farming to start?

It doesn't have to be fully off-grid, and I have some plan for farming and food. Just don't want to deal with permits, taxes (apart from property tax), etc.

You have to be over 18 to post on this website.

I think a lot of it depends on the climate. if you are somewhere with a cold winter to contend with etc. also knowing what is at your disposal on the land, like if there are trees, stone, etc. if there is a water source. it all will determine what problems you’ll need to solve and what is a priority.

Its a Nordic country, so rough winters. I wouldn't get any property without a pre-dug well. Trees presumably would be plenty no matter where I ended up buying probably.

Trees you own and can chop down? It takes more wood than you think to get through a winter, not to mention cooking.

OTG life is not easy on your own, anon.

it doesn't matter you won't do it.

you do not have the will or the skill.

You think you get off the hook just because you put a few solar panels in your backyard? >>2981984

This. Major skill to have would involve being able to talk to, and get along with, other people. That pretty much excludes everyone on this site. Good luck.
