There is literally 0 info about one online, I just want to know if this fucker will heat 0.075-0.125" Sheet metal to red hot or higher, it's the large tip version or known as the KP105.

I'd buy one and test it myself but they're hazmat so no returns and they're fucking expensive

what shithole do you live in that a box of brass pipe fittings is hazmat?

id assume it runs like a mini weed burner torch. so a soft flame and more bulk heating rather than concentrated. basically sucks ass if youre used to oxy acetylene. tough to even silver braze with because it lack the pinpoint flame to work around a joint without getting the entire part glowing so no control
you could piece one together off used parts on ebay for about $100. an acetylene regulator works on a propane tank. then find a bare torch and hose
>>

It's probably the igniter.
You can make that at home depot, or just get a cherry burner without a regulator. That kit is retarded.

I'm scouring ebay every day, someone is selling one without a hose and the hose is fucking $80 alone, shit's crazy. All it has is 9/16-18 female inlets I don't know why its so expensive

The torch runs at 57,000 BTU @ 45PSI, all I could find about it.

>>2983373
yeah the igniter kinda fucks it now that I think about it. Maybe amazon wont throw a shit fit if I just buy it and test it out even if they say no returns too like my local stores

Surely someone here has to own this fucking thing right?

the ebay one is $44 delivered. just try it out and if it sticks dump it on zuckbergplace for most of your investment back
>>

that looks like an old Prestolite handle that they dont make anymore the acetylene one would glow a piece of sheet metal easy i would assume the propane one would do it, I think propane is about 5200 and acetalyne is 6000 degrees
>>
>>2983879
I think it would as well considering the torch is 57,000 btu/hr at 45psi. Maybe we have a propane anon who'll visit and redeem the knowledge.
>>
>>2983879
If that propane one OP listed had smaller pinpoint tips like the prestolite then I would imagine it would be better suited for heating steel. As is it looks like a glorified weed burner.

How did the prestolite intake oxygen to mix with the gas? Through a venturi port in the handle?

It seems to have a version called BP-2 but it's only 11,000 BTU. Wouldn't a larger btu mean better for his case because of heating sheet metal? Larger area heated, heat retains longer and center gets hotter
