Ever since I was a little kid, I was always interested in robots, and I've always wanted to make a servant robot. A few years ago, I had the idea of putting a 3D printed structure on a roomba. A little later, I realized I could make the structure humanoid, and from there I was inspired to make a "robowaifu". So, in a way, Galatea v3 is the blend of childhood dreams and adulthood politics/desire.

One of the main goals of the design is to basically cure loneliness, but that's far from the only purpose/use. The set-up can work like an indoor Ring Camera, and you can use UV Sterilizer wands to great effect, since she can basically stand perfectly still. And as a deliberately easy to build humanoid robot, I hope that hobbyists can make their own designs and purposes.

I love the idea and execution attempt, but here are some (probably already mentioned above) issues i have on the first glance (I havent read the guide so sorry if those were adressed there):

As the webm above shows - she wobbles like crazy. I would work on some kind of bracing or dampener for her body because i cant imagine that being good in the long run (Plus it looks ugly when she moves).
She could also be downscaled to make the leverage weaker.

I like it, but the body proportions look a bit uncanny. I'd widen her "hips" a bit and/or narrow the shoulders to give her a more feminine appearance. Same would go for the legs, with maybe some decorative casing over the PVC pipes to make a proper leg curve instead of 2 matchsticks. I am thinking this cosmetic change could also somehow work for hiding the bracing mentioned above, but im just guessing on this part. Could also go full robot and instead have an option with a braced base, looking similar to those monowheel robots from old movies.

It also took me a while to notice that she actually has a chest in your pics, and it looks a bit weird but i cant tell why. I'd look into that if i were you. Could also make the cups modular.

I also dont really understand how she doesnt knock herself off of it all the time. Not really something to "Fix", considering the goal of the project being just a fuckaround robot, but it still bugs me.

That is an unfortunate thing I had to deal with, made worse by the fact that I have shag carpet. I did put those 6 batteries in the back for stability, and I made sure that the lid doesn't flop open. As far as I can tell, it's because it "sinks" into the carpet, and the carpet is soft.

This is one thing I feared the most, the subjectivity of beauty. Your tastes actually remind me of a friend of mine's. I personally like petite girls, and I was inspired characters like Emmy the Robot. I do try to find new uses for her, in fact I was thinking of a series of pictures and videos showing potential uses for her. As for the roomba, you can easily remove and put back the body. Even Emmy, who you mention, is built (no pun intended) that way since thats the basis of a female form - Hips wider than the clavicles. Its just not as apparent as more extreme examples.

If you are planning to improve the body further down the line, regardless of my input, look into "Anatomy for sculptors". That book is a godsend about making bodies and will benefit you in the long run regardles if its in this or some other art project, while being a very short read.
Also holy shit i thought these legs were PVC pipes, not actual prints. I cant imagine those lasting a good time before snapping like a pair of twigs across the layers with such leverage. I think widening them just a little bit would help with the wobble and improve the durability.

At first, I used an LED name tag for the eyes, and I had the mini-phone mounted separately. But then I realized, why don't I just use the mini phone?
