This might belong in stupid questions but why shouldn't I remove the soap bottle and attach a primed tube to the pump then drop it into an industrial sized dish soap under the sink? can I oversize the tube or should I get close to the pump down tube? If it is this easy why isn't this common/why don't they sell kits?
>>2984941I was a flow technician for Rolls- Royce for decades and have no idea what you are talking about. Work on that first. Where is the stupid question thread? I don’t have my glasses. Can you link?
>>2984942>>>/n/your are welcome
>>2984941I don't know if it depends on the state on what you can do about pipes n shit. Also to make a hole near the sink, spillage that leads to some issues (depending on the material) etc etc. Find a good pump and hose because also due to the pressure and how the rubber shit and the texture of the soap works u might need to find a special stuff for it. Maybe bc it might be inconvenient or people don't want to take time of making the hole etc are not willing to do something for it.
>>2984944I am talking about removing the existing bottle as pictured and attaching a hose to the existing pump installed pump which normally draws from the bottle. I cannot see why drawing from a larger container 2' below the pump is a problem but that is why I'm asking the question. Those are actual pictures of my actual sink.
>>2984941incredible illustration!
>>2984941Can you just put a shelf for the big jug underneath and go straight into it with a short tube extension? I don't know if it would draw up properly with just the little vacuum you get from the pump. I would test it out first. You may need a thicker tube that won't collapse under suction, as well as a check valve in the under sink supply container.
>>2984941>can I oversize the tubeDon't use a larger tube, the larger the tube is, the more volume of soap is held in it, the harder that pump has to work. If you get too big (or too long) it may stop working entirely.
>>2985093>Don't use a larger tubeYeah. But also because the soap is viscous. And is held from flowing back down into the jug by this. Too big a tube might just drain. And you'll have to pump like hell to lift but more soap.I have this setup (smaller tube) and it works fine.
i would suggest having the giant jug of soap up on a small platform etc so that the tube doesnt have to go as far, as well as having a high quality pump itself
>>2984941My pump says to dilute the soap because its too viscous. Also I can just pull the pump off the top and pour soap directly in
>>2984941Just put the soap jug on the counter.
