Staying at a place currently with an old ass oven and stove. The oven is made of separate panels which I've never seen before, instead of the one piece molded oven I'm used to. Idk what the previous person tried to clean it with but its white and chalky and dripped down between the walls and bottom. I don't know how to access it to clean it but it reeks like chemicals when I turn the oven on.

What do? I can see screws that look like they only hold on the outer white shell of the unit and the actual components of the oven are riveted together

Probably Ajax or some other powder-based cleanser. What have you tried so far to clean it? Also, can you circle the specific spot in the image you are talking about? There is white shit everywhere, including on the heating element.
