What would you do if you had ~100kg of high-grade telecom PCBs used in Norway from the 80s-90s where some cards have a ridiculous amount of rare earth minerals and metals compared to todays standard.

Some manufacturers: Siemens, Tellabs, Ericsson, Samsung.

Sort and sell on ebay?
Strip and sell on ebay?
Find a e-waste recycler? (suggestions welcome!)

Sorry for those of you that want to die seeing them stacked by the way. I do not have enough space to handle them with the level of care they deserve.

if that’s your pic looks grade a to me. krommenhoek in europe pays €9-12/kg depending on gold plating and they grade by email but you may have to ship them. I figure you can’t get a much better price by stripping if you factor in the time needed

Maybe sort the smaller boards by type of components and sell them on ebay and strip the larger ones

I am in a similar position to you and suspected the relays to be the most profitable. The caps are often extremely high quality but from the age and wear they received, inwouldnt be happy paying a premium for them.

That said you're looking at maybe $5 profit per relay? Everything else is probably just scrap. Maybe some power regulators but those are also ridden hard and put away wet. There's isolation transformers and coax connectors but those are also going to be Telecon specific parts and not worth much with the end of the telecom.

If you've got like titan 5500 matrix cards or backplane sell those whole. Ds3/ds1 line cards aren't that exciting-theres a ton of spares from downsizing, but matrix, and memory and processor cards are still worth $$. There's a bunch of shady resellers online that might give you cash too

I’d list the components and sell the boards as-is.
In some cases, people like me will buy the board to get one replacement component… especially out of production or original name-brand.
I hate it when people try and “help” by butchering up the board with a goddamn blow torch and sell the parts. Just don’t touch them.

The *worst* is the “recyclers” … They need to be removed from society. They spend an hour taking apart an otherwise valuable transformer, throw away the core and get ten cents for the wire at the scrapyard.

This. I sold junk amplifiers in lots of 5-10 for like $80-$150 and was surprised how fast they sold.
