wtf captcha is gay editionWinter is finally and time to do some more stone stuff. Stone boat is less hassle to use than the hydraulic crane, but easy to maneuver when I load straight into the truck
New spot I'm getting my rocks from. Bunch of big rocks from when they cleared rocks to build the road and the impetus for using the crane. Neighbor stares at me the whole time I work though. Really convenient though since I can back up the truck in there.
Another raised garden bed under construction
Completed raised garden bed. Also with some stone stairs. I've used stone retaining walls + timber for stairs before but never really built stone stairs before. Not entirely happy with how they turned out (towards the rear of the picture near the two very large rocks). I might try to replace the granite with schist in the future to give better contrast, but right now have a glut of granite to work with.
Raised garden beds after my wife (or at least will be 4 day after posting this) planted them.
I buyfagged some crushed marble to fill in between the "beads" of the rosary. Hauling all of it into the middle of the woods was a real pain but the bridge I built last year fulfilled its purpose
Rosary lit up at night. (Or at least at twilight since my camera can't take good pictures at night). That's all the new picture I have for now and probably taking a break from stonework for a while to focus on other projects.
>>2990459I just picked up one of those hitch cranes too.
anyone got pics of rock gardens and examples of how to proof them for weeds and grass
>>2990595Nothing is going to be 100%without maintenance. A seed will gain purchase on the dust that accumulates between the rocks.
