Funny thing is I wasn't asking for nudity, she just gave it to me. Making a big finetune of XL is hard, costs money and requires expertise. There's just not that many ML engineers with free time, donation money and porn addiction floating around, so it's likely we will not see many things that are much better than we have seen so far on the XL space, especially now that lodestone (the furry) is taking a break after chroma. If compute was cheaper, we would be seeing a lot more finetunes and maybe we could even see some professional level hentai models.

You may be using something else that does this like a CFG++ sampler, a fucky scheduler like AYS, etc. It is to prevent contrast explosions. The z-snr paper called it "overexposure" from photography lingo, since they mostly dealt with realism.

But it's also capable of the most style variety, since it's not all biased in one direction like a merge would be. And it gets the most benefit out of style loras, plus those also make it easier to use at the same time. Most merges are just the base model with a bunch of loras slapped on in the first place.Because it's v-pred you need some tool to lower the CFG in the first few steps (or use any lora) otherwise it tends to go crazy with contrast. And there's the "no negs" gimmick due to some quirk in noob's training, if you have absolutely zero negs (ConditioningZeroOut node on Comfy) the outputs look almost universally better. Kind of a pain, but over time it taught me negs only rarely truly necessary.
