the undefeated 4 drop yday was a total shit show. i did it all for nothing ofc as they also decided to tell me after weeks of info after finally reaching the product page that there was no international shipping for this one (>enjoy our great international shipping rates!). i think the raffle the other day was secretly also no international because i got two Ls and everyone on reddit who tried seemed to get like up to 3 each on multi accounts. the site was down for 15 mins beforehand and by the time it was up around 30s after launch time everything was gone, but then kept reloading and then selling out again in different sizes like whack a mole. so i eventually changed to united states planning to use a parcel forwarding service address and selected a 9.5 and got it in my cart, was out in a queue that said estimated wait time 28 mins and it would check every minute to see if it was in stock. it would keep saying out of stock then in stock then out of stock obviously i had given up by minute 2 but stayed in just in case and when i finally got to the cart it gave me a pop up saying they'd removed items cos they were out of stock now.

Hoff sneakers...

Has anyone heard of this brand? Fairly new one. Saw some dude rocking similar sneakers as in the picture and they actually looked decent. I check out their stuff and they have quite interesting colorways and designs.

They say they want to "affordable and durable", can someone back this claim here? I'm considering to order a few pairs.

I thought I'd ask here too.
Are Loro Piana sneakers...well, worth it?
I have a few "high brad" shit, even shoes and, from my personal experience, they are all made to last only for a year if you wear them often. By them I mean anything from pants to shoes.
Simply put, how I would define it is like this: High quality materials don't mean durable. On the contrary, they're very delicate.

And I've read a lot of people complaining about them lasting only for a few months before something breaks/falls off. I tried them on once and yes, they were simply unexpectedly comfortable. But I don't want to drop 1K only to wear them once a month or so.
Any personal experience?

I want the 991s for the look though. Do NB sneakers have much of a break in period? They're not painful just a tad too snug in the toe box. A size up would definitely slip too much.

I've found that New Balance don't have a break in period at all, except for the 991v2. And that was only the upper because the toe box is so narrow.

It's only snug while walking, just putting them on feels perfect. I imagine the insole is pushing my toes toward the front. Think I'll be fine?

NB has fucked up so many models now with their fetish for narrowing and taking height out of the toe boxes. It’s a horrible leap to “fashion at any cost” from “build solid, comfortable, durable” shoes they were loved for.
Rather that screw up legacy shoes, just make “neo” versions and wreck peoples feet that way.

Oh, rant aside, I went to the Wide version of the 574, it was marginally better than going up a full size

Any reccomendations on what sizing I should use to get some Adidas? Size 12 US mens and debating if I get the 12.5 or 14 US womens size in the Taekwondo f50.

I see the 12.5 Womens is a 11.5 mens 46 europe or 29.5 jp, so like a little small or the 14 womens is a 13 us mens 48 europe 31 jp so definitely a bit big. Also with womens size being more wide at the forefoot and I have a typical skinny mens foot, makes me hesitant to size up.

Any Advice?

Looking for a pair of comfortable yet /fa/ sneakers for walking.

I mostly want them for work since I am on my feet all day walking around. I will use it for walking/jogging on occasion too

I have a pair of new balance 574 legacy(the one with the big midsole) but they are falling apart.

Wanted to know what other options I have.

Seconding Converse JP exclusives. Converse Addict line or the recent square toe 70s would be solid

For new balance does it matter if it says made in USA or made in UK? Or even if it says "core"?
These confuse me
I've never had one looking for my first pair
>>
>>18518220
No idea, I've only had the 990v4-5-6, 991v2, and 992
>>18518253
Yeah the v6 has a higher stack height and heel-toe drop. It's a lot more chunky than the previous versions.

I'd recommend 990v5, it's more supportive than the v4 and better for walking all day.
Get real running shoes if you want to run, there are many affordable ones that are much better and lighter than sneakers.

do you think skechers could become fashionable as an ironic statement in the future? i could see them getting popular, similar to how dad shoes had a resurgence. they seem to carry that sort of cultural significance that zoomers are really into.

although a lot of them are ugly as fuck, i am personally considering buying this decent pair to be ahead of the curve, but i also feel like its the kind of humble sneaker that fits my status. i heard they are comfy as well. thoughts?

And they will never become fashionable if they keep ripping off other brands, and have terrible build quality. Wearing sketchers means you do not care at all about looking fashionable, comfort or quality

I'll need to see more pics and videos and such of them before deciding if they're a cop or not. The color seems to change in every one. If they're more on the grey side, they're an instant cop, beautiful sneaker. If they're more on the brown side, I'll have to think about it. Same situation as the beige vs grey debacle around the new PM 3 (did not cop).

I also saw the search term “japanese” might be a japanese market only version. Im not sure though it may be loosley referring to it being used in J-fashion. With people on the internet wanting to sell them they might be using that term for either reason.

Thoughts on these white T500s for $130? Overpriced or nah. I know summer's almost over, but I still want a white shoe that isn't just af1 since I'm hitting 30 soon.
>>
>>18527896
I got those, but with tax and shipping I ended up paying $150. The leather is pretty good for being an athletic sneaker, and the mesh is unlined so it's nice and airy.
>>
>>18527958
how loose is the mesh? think it will wear out within a year?
>>
>>18527969
>how loose is the mesh?
Slightly loose, but it's thin
>think it will wear out within a year?
Yes. It's a seasonal shoe, so I would only wear it during warm dry weather. If you rub your toes against the toe box you would wear it out and probably chafe your skin.
>>
>>18527976
Got it, thanks. I swear nearly all the high quality nb shoes all have these loose mesh that I can't wear when there's slight rain no matter the season.

If you are rich Margiela gats or Dries van noten sneakers
If you are medium income, look for minimalist sneakers like from COS or Crown Northamptons

Big city fags, how dead is the GAT/Samba trend? The other day I saw three middle-aged provincials wearing slim-fit jeans and Sambas/Spezials, feels like the party’s over. But those Dries Van Noten knock-offs influencers are all shilling now look fucking retarded. Please advise.
>>
>>18530473
Gats aren't worth it since the price increase unless you get them on sale. I got mine on sale for $450 but I think that's unlikely to happen again. The dries van Noten runenrs are all hype they're basically overpriced onitsuka tigers. Spending $500 on nylon/suede running shoes is retarded. Theres plenty of equally cool and well made shoes for half the price. Check out Reproduction of Found for GATs

sneakers are a staple of unc culture, they always have been and always will be
>>
>>18530460
The key is to not follow trends too closely once you're getting into your 30s like that. Wearing the same stuff from your youth instead of from the current youth is a safer choice for not looking like you're coping wth your age.
Also the more classic/staple the silhouette the better so you don't look like you're trying to timetravel to the past either

Get minimalist leather sneakers. Stay away from sports sneakers as everyday wear unless you're actually playing a sport, running/jogging, or going to the gym. When you're in your 30s, it's all about subtlety. You're not a school kid anymore. Being loud and attention whorish is tacky. Keep your style subtle and understated.
