McQueen editionPost sunglasses (and also eyeglasses if you want)
What would these glasses be? Or suggest similar ones, with a width under 50mm
>>18522389these look really dated and ugly. these thin rectangular frames belong in the past
>Ray-Ban Justin 4165 Black/Silver Mirror 622/6G SunglassesAre these /fa/ or not?
>>18522392You are horrendously out of touch, I guess you're an aging millenial.
>>18522393just get the oakley holbrooks which are what rayban is copying with their justin frames
>>18522396lmao okay zoomer retard
a vintage store I follow have these glasses from burberry, probably late 90s early 00s, brown tortoise color. couldn't find the exact model, that aside, what do you guys think of these, If one wants to go vintage?
>>18522409not for me
After years of losing luxxotica slop i just get these from the drugstore
>>18522687>still thinking all luxottica is bad Luxottica owns so many brands, some are dogshit "luxury" brands they just license the name of and slap on cheap frames to rip off normies, others are brands that only make glasses and have been for decades I own three pairs of Persols and I'm getting my next eyeglasses frames from Oliver Peoples.
>>18522389Persol's PO2747S
>>18522389I thought they were JMM but this shit is from 2009
>>18523005Lmao they don't look similar at all.>>18523078I would think they would be some raybans from that era because I actually had similar shaped raybans as regular prescription glasses early 2000s.But I can't find a current Rayban model that's similar. Some stuff I found that look similar are: the Dylan model from Messyweekend which is affordable and 48mm but now out of production because they have a New Dylan that's 51mm now - the Oliver Peoples Davri which is 52mm but has exactly the shape I'd like, and I can find a clone of for 50 euro - and the Oliver Peoples Jaye that's exactly the size that works for me but seems to be an older model, can't find the original in a nice color and can't find a clone.
Old Rolex was absolute kino
>>18523122wat?
Bros I was at an Oliver Peoples boutique today trying on frames and I honestly wasn't super impressed. They felt like my Warby Parker backup frames
Good quality sunglasses used to be 200 bucks but now they're almost 600 If you tell someone you spent 600 on sunglasses they'll think you're a fucking retard
>>18524659I buy clones on aliexpress for 30-50 euro and they're amazing in terms of quality. You just want to cry over nothing.
>>18524722yes anon i'm sure your aliexpress chinkframes are very good quality and i'm sure the lenses are actully UV blocking and i'm sure they will last a long time
https://kieljamespatrick.com/products/jfk-sunglasses
>>18525062These are just knock off American Optical Saratogas which were what JFK wore. AO still makes them These are just chink made shit clones
>>18525078yea, get mad.kek
>>18524725I get prescriptions so I don't care about the lenses, but if you think that small piece of plastic costs anything significant to produce you're retarded. As far as build quality goes, anything I've bought that was more than 20 euro feels way better than anything I can find in mainstream optical shops locally and anything I have owned (my most expensive frames were moscots that I bought for 300 euro at the time or so). Keep getting jewed so the middle men can live their comfortable lifestyle doing nothing.
>>18525102>>18525115you guys sound very insecure about not being able to afford what you actually want
>>18525151We clearly can afford what we want.
>>18525155You very clearly can't lmao getting shitty knockoffs and bragging about how "totally NOT mad" you are
>>18525161I make 120k eur/year and my rent is 500 a month, do you think I couldn't afford paying 300 for something you buy every few years? I am just, unlike you, just not stupid.
>>18525169Yes yes yes anon, we know. You're 6'5" as well, we know
>>18525171183 only
>>18525169what do you do for work? genuinely asking
>>18525338grindr sugar daddy
Any chance on an ID?
>>18525411Fuck off
>>18525338Software dev, now in a bigger company.
Just ordered some Persol eyeglasses. I have some from Salt which are excellent quality, but the longer I've owned them the more I've come to dislike the shapePersol is my favorite sunglasses brand, so I have a feeling I'll enjoy their eyeglasses
which model oakleys is timmy wearing?
I like the hologram effect of the Spacedust but the frames look like safety specs
>>18526242Oakley Chaminade
>>18526247are you sure? those look different to me. the ones hes wearing just has the logo on the side whereas the chaminade has oakley written on the side instead
>>18525898not a meme, looking for something similar
>>18522373where to get prescription sunglasses that don't suck ass?
I often wear womens sunglasses as they have been blessed with the best frames.>picrel my current pair
>>18526587JMM
What glasses is now deceased infamous mobster and Cleaver creator Chris Moltisanti wearing here in this FBI released photo?
Looking back, the mid 2000 frames were far more aesthetic than all the over sized shit on the market nowadays
>>18528716Absolutely not. They aged like absolute shit The narrow rectangular style looked bad then, it looks worse now
>>18522409This style looks great on me but I would be concerned about the hardware, or whatever they call the the moving metal parts in glasses.
>>18522373Does anybody know the best way to find sales on Prada sunglasses? I love these but don't really want to spend $530.
>>18528813ebay is your best bet"luxury" brands like that are always cheap on ebay
Thoughts on Arnette?
>>18528870Thanks. There were only a couple and I didn't trust the sellers. I'll probably end up paying full price but I'll be patient and see if I can find deals as the seasons change.
>>18528802Im not talking about the rectangular shapes, just in terms of proportions. Stuff used to actually conform to the face, now the norm protrudes off the sides by 5cm. Matrix films are case in point, the frames in the new film look too big imo.
