>>
>>18523121
western larping is gay even if you live out west. cowboy boots aren't comfortable for walking anyway and will fuck your feet up

Just one pair that look like OP. Thinking about getting a pair of ropers for daily use.
>>
>>18523223
might I suggest ostrich
>>
I live in San Francisco. The only guy I know here who wears cowboy boots is a turbomanlet with a 3 inch heal to compensate.
>>
>>18523121
Two pairs of ropers. I live in central WA, and this is pretty much standard men's footwear for everyone from zoomers to boomers here, except for coastie transplants.
>>
>>18523121
I have 4, I dress like a cowboy. Yeehaw anon, the best core is cowboy core. The people in this thread crying about it are ugly or poor. Cowboycore gets bitches.
>>
>>18523121
I live in Texas and people wear cowboy boots to the office here and no one bats and eye. I'm thinking of getting a pair
>>
>>18523436

>>
>>18523121

Tony Lamas and Justin's goat skins and calf skin boots are super fucking comfy, what the fuck are you in about?
>>
I wear Blundstones as a european with my double denim outfits, what gets me closer to that aesthetic without being too larpy?
>>
>>18524799
less denim and a tooled belt
>>
>>18524827
Yuck. Any actual good ideas?
>>
>>18524882
well you're european so maybe just stick with a track suit and sneakers, at least 90 percent black
>>
>>18523127
My feet were already fucked up. Western boots are the only footwear I've ever had that doesn't make them worse. Ropers are a lot easier to wear than full cowboy though so they're my mains.

>>18523341
Straight south of you in central OR and it's the same here, though coastie transplants (especially if you count PDX as coastal, it definitely is in spirit) are half the population so it's probably not the same percentage as where you are. They're pretty ubiquitous among the locals as you'd expect from a place that has horse ranches just outside town in every direction and like 6 rodeos a year within an hour drive.

Check out the Justin Big Bucks. They're about as cheap as "real" full leather Western boots get and look pretty low key with jeans/pants over the top of them. I've been daily driving them for a year or so and they're stupidly comfortable too.

>>18524768
I see people say the same shit a lot. I assume they bought shit boots, bought them in the wrong size, and/or gave up before they were broken in. I've noticed that a lot of people start by buying really pointy, really high-heeled boots, often cheap ones in "exotic" leathers that can't be done properly for the price so you end up with an overly stiff boot that never breaks in properly too, that's probably a lot of that attitude.
>>
>>18523127
this. dressing in cowboy/western wear and listening to country music are the big new fads to infiltrate the normgroid mind. I'd stay clear for at least a couple years until they get bored and go back to hypebeast/streetwear/rap music

>>18525246
yeah like I'm moving back to California, its ripe for another golden age and I want to get in early
>>
>>18525246
I've been into country and western shit for years. I'm not gonna change my whole personality and style and stop liking things I like just because people I don't like get into them. That's how you become an actual hipster faggot (or a /v/edditor), pretending to like abject garbage just because it's the only stuff nobody else is into.
>>
I want plain cowboy boots
All the stitched patterns are gay as fuck
>>
>>18525387
so why don't you get some
>>
>>18525377
yeah, men dress how they like regardless of what people around them do or think

Ariat Heritage Ropers are the best affordable boot I know for that. Lucchese also makes some gorgeous ones but they're Lucchese so they're godawful expensive and don't really fit me.
Personally I like plainer boots too but I don't care about stitching on the shafts since it's always covered by jeans.

Should I get brannock size for narrow toe cowboy boots or half down
>>
>>18525449
I have five pairs of boots from four different brands and styles (everything from vintage-style super narrow and pointy to wide square) and I've never felt the need to size down. Really though it comes down to your individual feet and the specific brand and model, and there's really no substitute for just trying things on.
>>
will people think I'm gay if I get a pair with pointy toes?
square looks autistic and snip just makes me seem indecisive
