>color 8 shell cordovan goes with literally everything>paradoxically casual but still formal enough to wear in any situation that doesn't call for oxfords>ridiculously comfortable given Alden's heritage in orthopedics>objectively the most aesthetically pleasing silhouette out of any penny loafer ever made, the best offerings from Crockett & Jones are too faggy/European in comparison
>>18524537Between this and the C&J Harvard, I'd get the Harvard simply because C&J can be relied to make a decent shoe way more than Alden who has absolutely no QC and will box up a literal turd and ship it to youWhen I ordered my Indy boots years ago I got the most laughably bad pair you could imagine. There was THREE (3) different threads used to sew the sole, 2 of them were different colors, the welt was fuzzy and frayed looking. I exchanged them and the new pair was better but had part of the lining not sewed in because they sloppy stitching literally didn't even go through it. I just super glued it. I am one of countless other people that got literal shit sent to them from AldenWith Crockett and Jones you never hear about that kinda shit happening, so I'll be getting the Harvard loafer instead

Are you blind to the horrendous creasing or do you think that's actually flattering? Go for something in the tier of Allen Edmonds Randolph or skip penny loafers altogether
>>18525104that's not creasing, it's "rolling"
>>18525152you even demonstrate your cope level with the quotations, brilliant
I wear a pair of black calfskin or brown cordovan loafers from Alden with pretty much every outfit with a collar
>>18525158i don't own cordovan shoes. i'm not a fan of the plastic look they have. reminds me too much of shitty cheap patent "leather"give me some good calf leather any way
>>18525173the only reason i haven't gotten alden loafer is i don't know how to size and there's no alden shop in my state
>>18524537>google the shoes>1000 USDlegitimately what the fuck is wrong with you guys
>>18525275that's how much good leather footwear made in the USA costs nowadays after bidenflation and everything else
>>18525275That's usually around what I pay for a car. And my cars usually only lasts at the most 5 years. Those shoes would definitely last longer than that lelSo maybe it wouldn't be the worst purchase in the world. If you're into loafers.
>>18525293Imagine never having heard of shoe trees. It's this level of retardation that ruins this board. Please fuck off and get your sperg ticks out anywhere else.
>>18525353>shoe trees means leather will not crease while you're wearing it and flexing your footokay braindead faggot, how do shoe trees prevent creasing?
>>18524537The big trouble using loafers the entire life is the risk of something called plantar heloma (or tiloma). I'm suffering that thing and I had to sold all the loafers (Weejuns and Alden). Now, I'm using ones from Officine Generale in gum soles and Morjas (Ivy reference). Please, don't ruin your foots. This thing really hurts and destroy completely the way you walk: go for softer soles.
>>18525843When you buy high quality leather shoes and keep shoe trees in them, they don't fucking crease in the ugly way of OP's. This isn't new information. It's well-proven and simple, yet you continue to use this thread to invent things to trigger your own tourettes outbursts. Take your god damn meds and never come back.
Is it good to put these things on your heels?

>>18526150You need to learn how to walk
>>18526144>they don't fucking crease in the ugly way of OP'sThe shell cordovan 'ripples' are actually a desirable thing
