If clothing garments can't be intellectually protected, why aren't there exact copies made with different branding?
>>18525478Because my dear dimwit, once the audience has seen a "new" design for even a microsecond, they become bored of it. A "novel" twist on the design by a competitor is always superior. Brands even do this themselves, cloning with small tweaks their own work for release, rather than the same release over and over.
>>18525481Here's my point, when Converse got bought out by Nike, the quality of their ALL STAR went to shit. If another company came in and made the exact shoe but with the old standards, I would buy that instead, but instead I see a company like ShoesLikePottery come up with some gay-ass design but with good production methods. That's irks me. And I dislike the made in China 70s Converse line. Same with other products. Solovair has great production, but their design isn't as chunky as Dr Martens.
>>18525483I would even buy it well made clones, unbranded cos i'm not a brand whore
