>>18534244Soviet watches are extremely cheap, look cool and are more reliable and accurate than the vast majority of vintage Swiss watches. You have to pay attention to fakes and frankens, though. The market is full of them.
New GW-BX5600
>>18534244What's the name of this beauty you posted?
>>18534248Thinking of getting a vostok amphibia.
>>18534372can you even buyder one new as a europoor right now? i googled once and gave up (easily).
>>18534260I can't believe they went with MIP, I know fake fans like it but it's utter shit.
>>18534378Can sell you mine cosmodiver for about 500.
>>18534260I can't tell if this is cool or just sad.
>>18534392If it has a step counter and that is indeed an MIP display because it doesn't look like one, then it would be the best gshock ever made and trully the only watch you'll ever need.
>>18534381What's wrong with MIP displays?
>>18534260I can't get over this feature advertisment on the dial. Yea I need to see it has but, alarm, chrono, solar charging and all the other shit everytime i look at it. What a nonsense
>>18534396>reeee it's not the caveman technology from the 70s and you can actually read it reeeThat would be my guess because MIP is objectively superior in every single way.
>>18534388im good dawg
>>18534244If you're wearing a 500€ watch you're a richfag and not "poor" by any mean, dumb OP
Anyone knows where to buy casio modules? I want to put the a168 module into my a158 but the only retailer I could find that sells only the module instead of the whole watch was SKXMOD and they are asking fucking $30 for a module that comes from a $25 watchI thought about buying a SKMEI module and putting it inside the a158 case but apparently those have terrible accuracy. Pls halp?
>>18534306Shanghai peace commemorative watch
>>18534541Buy a whole watch and gut it
>>18534541you can't. one is fatter.
>>18534587Damn. Any idea on custom modules I could fit in the case? I just really like the color of this faceplate but absolutely hate the shitty backlight
>>18534460I see the people scooping my chicken at panda express wearing gucci belts. The average Rolex owner only makes 100k a year, which isn't poor by any means but will barely land you in middle class these days.
>>18534615backlight is ok at night
i bought a timex expedition scout as my first watch, came in a little under £40. very happy
>>18534690How loud is the ticking on those?
>>18534690>timex expedition scouthmm; quartz, mineral glass, indiglo, 50m wr.it's got a nice field watch style, but not sure it's any different than a weekender. but I like weekenders, and you paid about the same, so it's all good.I'm happy to be wrong. do you or anyone know if it's distinct in some way? maybe the case is more durable, that would make sense. the plating on my weekender is not very durable.
>>18534541My 1628 is maybe half a second ahead after three months.Anyway, with such cheap models you have to (make sure the module fits and then) gut another watch.
>>18534731overplayed from the reviews i read before buying. sure, i can hear ticking next to me on my night stand when i sleep, but it's not distracting/disturbing. don't know if it's any better than the weekend as i don't have one. >>18534759larger (40mm vs 38mm), date window.they're very similar, i just preferred the style of the expedition (plus it was cheaper and came with a leather strap)
When will the finnsperg die?
At some point I'd like to have a "fun" colorful watch in my collection that I can wear with more interesting outfits or events like art shows, concerts, etc. I really dig the look of this watch but I refuse to wear one that is hard to read/can't tell the time well therefore detracting from its true purpose. Has anyone seen anything in the ball park of pic rel, but with numerals/legible hands so it wouldn't take 30 seconds to figure out what time it is?
>>18534786swatch, esp. vintage swatch was more colorful (I think)
>>18534786>i cooooooooooooooooooomsoooooooooooooooooooooooom

>>18534849everyone on watchuseek says the quality for the price is good and I like how it looks. for $150 I'll take the chance
>>18534839I hate fisheyes on watches
>>18534870the actual hulk, which this is copying, has a cyclops too
>>18534884I know. I don't like it there either.
>>18534870Same, it looks like a grotesque mole or something on the crystal. And I have never once looked at the date on my watches and thought "I wish the number was fucking huge"
>>18534839cool. keep us posted
>>18534911I'm fine with the number being huge, but do it by making the number huge, not by putting a massive ugly defect in the crystal
>>18534917hear, hear !

Lady at work complimented my addiesdive shitter today
>>18535357she wants you to addiesdive into her shitter tbdesu
>>18535357what addiesdive model? answer or you're a liar
I kinda like this new Jet colorway
>>18534244>Shanghai peace commemorative watchdo we know what is depicted on the dial? the black illustration under the hands looks like the top of a building? what building though?the two red figures in the circle, the bottom one might be a lunging man or maybe a bird?it's a nice looking dial at any rate
>>18534372Modern Vostok 24xx calibers are shit my dude, get a NOS vintage if possible.Their mainspring is made of bad steel and breaks, also the craftsmanship of the wheels themselves is bad and they tend to stop for no good reason due to poor tolerances.
>>18534248Amen. Raketa 2609 is eternal.
>>18535357She wants you to dive in her addies
>>18535421>Case Height 13.5mmI like it too, but why would they ruin it like this
>>18535412MY-H3-2QZ
>>18534786Swatch, especially the older models.Mr. Jones. Then you have some ig boy stuff by Louis Erard or Alexander Shorokhoff but we're well over the one grand threshold, that's getting steep for a novelty/special occasions watch.
>>18534786https://www.maison-artisans.com/gb/112-theme-watches-made-in-francemaybe something like Atkeo?
Pre-Y2K aesthetic. I remember Nike released something like this.
>>18535712I can see african-americans wearing this.
There's nothing but poorfag shitters ITT
>>18535357>>18535375next time he should wear a muff diver
>>18535730Clearly you're in the wrong thread then, right?
>>18535696>>18535704I've looked at all of these and the problem I have with them is no numerals on the dials. The Mr Jones watch I posted above is my favorite one so far. It seems like there's a missing market segment for someone who wants a crazy colorful art watch but with an easily readable dial like you'd find on a pilot watch
