show what you wear this fall anonsdon't be shy
>>18540158It's moleskin season, reply if you're a real mole
All these except maybe the fleece ones, they're too warm for fall. Denim and workwear jackets most of them.
>>18540168lmao I'm wearing that exact jacket It's my favorite non-leather jacket I own
>>18540158Since the drive jacket is custom, what is the best replica. Also, if you can pull it off, should you wear it

I want a new peacoat. I already have 2 of the Billy Reid Bond peacoat and I love them but I want something with a less slim cut.
>>18540158>tfw jacket season is rapidly coming to an end here in AustraliaFeels bad man.
>>18540168how many moles went into this jacket you sick bastard?!
>>18540168moleskin is peak but chore coats are too long on me. i've looked at what's out there and the ooe yofukuten cossack jacket seems pretty peak for short guys.
>>18540171very cool wardrobe
>>18540158What's a good-looking non-Goretex™ raincoat?
Are field jackets a good choice? I've been thinking of getting one but they are a pain to source where I livepictured: M-65
>>18541005Yeah they're good, I love mine. They look best when they're worn in bear up a bit
stop spamming hobo aesthetics
>>18540957Good on you for not wanting to get PFAS related cancers in a decade, probably any Fjallraven beeswax jacket. Maybe even Barbour with the attachable hood if you're fancy.
>>18541039Do you have brand recommendations or other advice, what to look out for?
Fur coat
>>18541273best bet is always to go vintage. unfortunately good vintage ones are hard to find, and increasingly expensive since the jacket got really popularalpha industries made the original jackets for the us military, but there's are made in china now which is disappointing. brands like real mccoys do the most accurate repros, but they're ridiculously expensive since you're paying for samuaris making them from thread that's been folded over 1000 timesiron heart makes a really nice one that's a bit more modern in design
>>18540158Chore coats and work jackets are for peasants. Traditionally speaking, real men wear tweed jackets and blazers. Denim is fine if you're american.
>>18541281I am going to sneed myselfthe vintage market appears basically dead t. europoor, mccoy abd iron heart are both made for dwarfs and too expensiveand alpha seems to hate qualitythank you for your time though
>>18541304Every modern army has their version of the M65. Pretty sure you can find some euro surpluss in your country.
>>18541307You are probably right.I'm maybe too much focused on the olive drab vietnam aesthetic
>>18540158I got one of these online recently a wool Swiss army tunic I love it very good quality it’s rare to see mass produced wool that’s not ichy as hell
>>18541005Without the liner it's just a cotton jacket, not very warm despite a lot of bulk without one. The hood sucks even worse. They look cool but they are not "good" for anything really. If you want the olive green military look I would suggest the A-2 Deck Jacket. It's lined by default, fits better and looks less military. Very slept on, and no larpy connotations.
>>18540168I got a moleskin chore coat over the summer. I've really been looking forward to wearing it
Just went window shopping on FleaBay. This leather jacket is neat with the corduroy collar.
>>18541419This is another neat one. You definitely don't see something quite like that everyday. 1950s vintage.
>>18541005Very 2012
>>18541005Got an M-51 myself, and not disappointed. I didn't find the liner, yet. Seems more difficult. Found an original M-65 liner last weekend though, which works on the M-51, except it's a bit more snug. Got it for 5, and will use it till i find the original liner for the 51
leather trench. bc fuck it, I need to hunt replicants (homeless fent fiends) in LA
>>18541574Thinking about getting an m51 (probably repro). are they any good in weather?
>>18542285Cool! Nice jacket
guys im sorry for off topic but do you know any jackets for -30 °c cold?
>>18542460for something recognizablecanada goose has like one or two actually cold resistant jackets in their lineupotherwise for that cold of a temperature you need to look at mountaneering gear and layerslayers save your ass in the cold
>>18542380No the Americans froze to death in them during the korean war. Its a uniform piece not cold weather gear.
Goated autumn colour right here
>>18542460LayerTop: Waffleknit henely < wool western shirt < wool sweater < lined vest < down jacket < shell parkaPants: wool long underwear < fleece lined pants < shell pantsFace: balaclavaHear: fur ushanka + hoodHands: base layer gloves + insulated mittensFeet: wool socks + sherpa lined boots
>>18542675some wrong stuff and some too muchit's *only* negative 30
>>18542380They were made for winter conditions so even without the liner they are fairly comfy to about 4.5c 40f if you are an Amerikaner I was very happy with mine until it wore completely out
Just copped this a2 bomber jacket. We'll see how it fits once its delivered.
>>18542838Looks really long. A-2 jackets are supposed to be cropped. This looks bad
Are these Land End “ Classic Squall Waterproof Insulated Jacket” good?
>>18542843Can always get it tailored it it's too long. The model in pic is wearing a medium so that probably doesn't help.
>>18542881It's definately a jacket
>>18542993The model appears to be banana republic so he is 6'1 or 6'2 like all of them are so that doesn't really help your case. Also you cant just tailor leather, leather requires a special sewing machine. If you are looking for that look in the banana republic price range go to cockpit usa.
>>18542881What in the AI slop is this? Why does his neck look like this and what is he even wearing for pants?
>>18542993Tailoring a jacket to be shorter is a lot harder than you think it is. You have to take the jacket apart, remove the ribbing, shorten the zipper, cut off the excess and resew it together with the lining and have it look good. And that's if you can even find a leather alterations place that can pull it offIt's easier to just get a jacket that fits
>>18543073Also looking at the pic the pockets are so low even if you did shorten it your pockets are now super low and the whole jacket looks like dogshit
>>18542993>Can always get it tailored it it's too longI love how people are so confidently wrong.
>>18540158lol remember when autists saw Drive and went around with main character syndrome wearing vaguely similar jackets
>>18543185It's me, but I didn't have a scorpion jacket. I got way into boots and denim jackets though. At one point I owned a Mustang but it was a piece of junk constantly in the shop so I sold it. I regret getting that stupid car
>>18542843>A-2 jackets are supposed to be croppedthey are?
>>18543239Yeah
I bought an absolutely sick varsity jacket a couple of months ago, but it's still too warmFucking global warming
>>18543241I wouldn't call that cropped but they are definitely shorter than the one that that guy is wearingor actually since I assume they're wearing high rise trousers and comparing the length to the sleeves, yeah those are cropped
>>18543248>I assume they're wearing high rise trousersCorrect. Those pants are high and the jacket ends near the belt. That's the proper fit of an A-2
>>18543243I got a leather jacket at the end of spring earlier this year and I haven't worn it at all. Just waiting for the weather to cool down
>>18543249good to know, thanks

>>18543284If you look like ryan gosling, and are an autistic cuck, sure
>>18542881Land’s End in general is the epitome of not exactly bad but also not particularly good. It’s true for literally every item they sell. So if you’re on a budget it’s fine.

>>18544447Go for the track bomber or keep shopping.
>>18542838Jacket looks good, ignore the sperg. Cropped jackets only look good on manlets. Also a standard length is really popular with b2 jackets.
>>18544447yesstylecore
do you guys know where in the EU can i buy a thick wool tweed jacket?
>>18545249Harris tweed is made in scottland in the herbrides by law anon. How hard could it be for you there? It's essentially like how champagne has to come from france. Literally google harris tweed
i recently bought two black army surplus trench coats on ebay. one is picrel. the other is a more traditional double breasted with a belt.
itt hobos hijacked /fa/
>>18541419the single breastpocket looks kinda goofy but otherwise pretty sweetthe handwarmer pockets are neat
>>18541304I got a Jungle fatigue jacket from Bronson Mfg and that shit slaps. Probably the best chinese knock-off you can get.t. fellow Europoor
>>18541005What fields are you going in? That shits to nice to take to the fields.
>>18541425This is super nice, forgot to say when I first saw this.
>>18545268What do you wear in winter?
i like the style of this leather jacket, although I don't know anything about this "Top Gun" brand. I assume it's just a meme brand riding the recognition of the same name movie franchise and thus the quality of the jacket is probably subpar. Do you Anons now of any other good brands that offer similar looking leather jackets?
>>18547775That's an A2 jacket. You can get them from anybody. Cockpit usa is a reproduction brand, made in usa, and has pricepoints from ~$500 for a pigskin version to ~$800 for horsehide and sheepskin with goat and cow falling in between. They also have suede.
Might buy a Stone Island windbreaker
Suggestions for a simple fall/mild winter jacket that's light, practical and won't make me sweaty if I move around?
Weather Wool denim chore coat, ~440gsm, 100% woolProbably the perfect coat

>>18550231>won't make me sweaty if I move around?lose weight
>>18551403I have a physical job
>>18551843I remember randomly watching some guy that talked about thiscarl murawski he's calledand basically the concepts are the same as they are for hikingbase layer to wick away sweatand depending on how cold, windy, wet it iseither just and insulation layeror that plus a solf shell for windor an insulation layer with a hard shell if it rains and snowsnow if your climate is just right you might be able to find one jacket that can both insulate and protect from the environment but everything has to be very specific
>>18542516>canada gooseIf you enjoy making yourself a target for melanin enriched individuals.

Thoughts?
>>18552483Any jacket without hand warmer pockets is inferior
>>18550313Based. Can't decide on the color. Any advice?
>>18544567Cheers anon, it does indeed fit pretty well and was much heavier than expected. Might have to wait for the colder weather to pull it off but I'm happy enough with it. Jacket for life I imagine.
none of this is real
>>18552983I went with charcoal. It's the safe option but it's versatile, effortless to style and never looks out of place. Indigo was very tempting though, vibrant like a classic french chore coat. The other colors didn't interest me, natural cotton just isn't my thing and the brown and green were too muted. A deeper pine green would look incredible I bet.
>>18540813really hard to take this guy seriously when he had that Harry Potter keychain
>>18540511acronym is a win
>>18541425Where can I find good quality jackets in this style? (and with picrel's color maybe?)
>>18540168I just that a few weeks ago for the second time after my first one got stolen in Tokyo. Hopefully I can start wearing it in a few weeks because it's still hot as shit in AZ. I got mine in khaki but the navy does look good too.
would you pay $250 for a used LL Bean flying tiger A-2 jacket in pretty much mint condition?the pre-Turkey made, one piece leather back, late 80s, with thinsulate. basically a perfect specimen, but i'm just afraid of overpaying since people claim to get them for "$50 bucks" yet my size is nearly impossible to source.
>>18553552i'd pay double that, yeah
>>18540744Gotta crack a few moles if you wanna make a coat.>>18541005They look cool and can be very comfy.>>18553447I'm in AZ as well and also waiting for the weather to chill out to start wearing jackets again. Sorry to hear about your coat getting stolen, in Tokyo of all places.

I just want more leather jackets. They're an addiction
Wearing my wrangler black denim until it's cold enough to wear my aero teamster.
Anyone know Stone Island's sizing? I'm usually between a medium and large because I'm not tall but I have large shoulders/back and arms
>>18558153That combination is horrible, but I have that Wrangler type 3 too but in the washed black. Great cut, buttons I think are plastic shit but if they fall apart I'll replace.
>>18540158
>>18558401Mine has nice metal buttons that have held up perfectly for years.
I found a vintage leather jacket in a storage room and took it, I'll be wearing it this autumn and probably winter since it doesn't get cold here.
