I've got a funeral tomorrow but I think the outfit I have is going to look stupid:>white button up>black tie>navy blazer>dark wash navy jeans>dress bootsIn my limited fashion knowledge, I fear this combo doesn't fit. Would just dropping the tie work? Or should I try and do something completely different?
>>18541374Nobody will care what you wear
>>18541374Just wear a suit
You wear a black suit to a funeral.
>>18541379That's the issue, I don't have one. The best I've got is the blazer and jeans combo since they're both similar colors
>>18541374Why don't you have at least a black chino?>>18541385>blazer and jeansYou're not going to a fucking club. It's a funeral. Go buy some black slacks (at least mid rise), and if possible, get a black blazer while you're at it.
>>18541395I dropped a lot of weight so most of my clothes don't fit. The blazer and jeans are the best fitting things I've got
>>18541400Go to target and buy a cheap suit
>>18541385grow up
>>18541409Aren't there places that rent suits?
>>18541447Go to target and buy a cheap suit. It will be like $120 and a cheap suit rental is like $100 anyway.
>>18541374Dress darker because it's modest. Dark as can be. Like for the reason an orthodox jew told me that they wear black, because it's respectful but not trying to impress or be different.
>>18541374Wear a black suit, get one off the rack, rent one, borrow one from someone who's not going to the same funeral tomorrow.plain white shirt, plain black tie, no accessories, clean dress shoes not polished to a mirror sheen. You are going to pay respects, if you don't like the deceased person enough to show minimum required amount of respect make up an excuse and don't go.
>>18541374>white button up>funeral
>>18541374If you don't have a black suit and tie, wear the most inoffensive tailored clothes you have. >>18541376is correct, in that no one will say anything to your face, but you really should just get a suit and not look like an idiot. >>18541542At the last funeral I attended, I wore a black 3-button 90s-era Prada suit with Allen Edmonds, a silk Helmut Lang tie, and a white Issey Miyake dress shirt. I was easily the best-dressed person in the crowd. However, such considerations are gauche and beside the point. In any case, a white shirt is perfectly acceptable for a funeral, and you're retarded, brown, or a woman for thinking there's anything wrong with that. Pic related, you'll notice how many white shirts are in the crowd at what may be the most solemn dress event in recent memory.
>>18541379Charcoal grey*Black suits look tacky
>>18541548Thank you for sharing the brand Issey Miyake. Their website has a lot of softcore pornography
>>18541548Why is Trumpanzee the only one wearing a navy blue suit? Is he too poor to afford a black suit?
>>18541374A funeral isn’t about you. Just wear something neat and black unless the loved ones insist otherwise.
That’s very inappropriate for a funeral. If you have to wear navy or grey or something then fine, but don’t mix and match colors, don’t wear jeans with a tie, and do wear a black suit if you have one. The optimal funeral outfit is white shirt, black suit, black socks, black shoes, black belt, any color other than bright or pastel tie. Get as close as you can to that. Wear dark dress trousers, a matching suit jacket or sport coat.
