The reason a lot of you don’t get Dark Academia is because people go too try hard with it. The point is to adopt traditional items and dark earth tones but incorporate some slacker/edgy elements. For example, a white oxford with cords and loafers is not exactly DA, but an off white oxford with dark brown cords and doc martens is DA.
