Is Loewe Solo Cedro better than Dior Homme 2020?
I am tired of pretending pic related is not better than Terre D'Hermes
>>18544622not sure if it's objectively better but i also like it (way) more
>>18544622define betterand signify which h24 as it is extremely important
Should I get Myslf EDP, Armani Code parfum or something else as a daily fragrance?
describing a fragrance as a shower gel or a soap scent is a dead giveaway someone is a noselet
>>18544634Some frags smell like shower gel or soap though?
>>18544635it's the other way around.
>>18544615IconiQ is similar to Solo Cedro.
I find Aramis has a slight poopiness in the opening, but there is no civet listed in the notes.
>>18544639you should wash your ass
>>18544622They're both very good for modern designer pillars. I slightly prefer Terre though.I wonder how the sales and wide public opinion is on H24. In this thread it is popular, but I don't think it was a big commercial success?
>>18544622they're not even in the same universe. h24 is not an adult fragrance.
>>18544664>h24 is not an adult fragrance.
>>18544664What do you mean? Adults can't wear synthetic smelling cough syrup? Absolutely ridiculous, that would mean Eros and Stronger With You aren't adult fragrances, either, and we know that's clearly not the case.
>>18544636Not necessarily, many fragrances were created to smell soapy. Even back in the day they dropped so much dihydromyrcenol into Drakkar Noir so that it would smell soapyMany people just want to smell clean and making your fragrance smell a bit like soap or shower gell is an easy way to achieve that
Frag, what are some cinnamon centric fragrances? Sweet or spicy cinnamon, doesn’t matter. Also, how big of a role does cinnamon play in Egoiste? I can’t test it, only blind buy.
>>18544713Jaipur Homme and Burberry London for men are two that come to mindEspecially Jaipur, it's really heavy on the spicy cinnamon after the opening. Amazing fragrance for the price, with a similar dandy air to it that Egoiste has
>>18544713>1 Million>Spicebomb>Musc Ravageurall of these have a strong cinnamon note
>>18544539>and Airlines is #1Parfumo says Airlines is a special edition bottle of the Popeye Edition. Accurate?
Looking for new weird and overtly synthetic frags to try. Examples I've tried and liked are all of the CDG Odeurs (10, 53, 71), ELDO ghost in the shell, and timothy han against nature. Next thing I know I'd like to try is serge lutens dent de lait.
>>18544716>>18544717Thank you for the suggestions Anons. Oddly enough I’ve tried all of them except 1 Million (I’m assuming the original EdT) but I can get that readily. Jaipur EdT was way too powdery for my tastes. The EdP was better, but still had some powder which killed it since the bar for a full bottle purchase is so high with so many options available. Musc Ravageur was a different flavor but powdery all the same. Still think it’s a weird fragrance that so many people review based on the name alone and not actually the scent itself. Loved Spicebomb to death but I never got into it until -after- L’Oréal ruined any performance it had. London was a surprise for me. More note evolution than I was expecting. The leather, the florals, the tobacco, they all came through much more than I was expecting, and I enjoyed it but somehow it didn’t wow me at the time I tested it. I’m trying to talk myself either out of, or into, blind buying Egoiste desu.
>>18544754Cyber Garden by Costume National. CdG has a lot more desu, for example Concrete was fascinating to me because the Rose Oxide really does a surprisingly accurate job of replicating the scent of cold concrete. Honestly, Zoologist’s Bee is their most popular scent because it’s a sweet gourmand, but to me it’s the most uncomfortably synthetic sweet smell, like the difference between cane sugar and an artificial sweetener. Also Pthaloblue from Tauer is a great example. A lot of people joke it’s a blue fragrance if the “blue” was sourced from a chlorinated pool. Ganymede would be the last that comes to mind, it may not be overtly synthetic but it’s definitely weird and foreign.
>>18544754CDG 2011
>>18544757Egoiste is also a big bomb of spices. Personally something about it turns me off, not sure what it is. There is like a dirty note in there that I dislike.
>>18544754Fantomas by Nasomatto
>>18544757>>18544627>1 Million>H24yeah, it's always the OG if nothing else is added
>>18544823correctboth of them are gay
>>18544769def need to try cyber garden as an antoine lie fan. I tried concrete and wasn't a huge fan though it captures the spirit I am looking for. Couldn't shake the smell of candy/bubblegum. I've tried moth and squid from zoologist and didn't like either, but open to trying bee. I especially dislike how much moth reminds me of old people. Pool chlorine is exactly up my alley, I will definitely look into pthaloblue and ganymede Thank you anon. >>18544773What does it smell like? 2 and 2 man are in my top 5 frags.>>18544775Notes on fragrantica look good. I love black afgano from them as well.
>>18544823I have both
>>18544823I have neither.
>>18544713CK Obsession if you love cinnamon.Egoiste is great, but the cinnamon isn't dominant imho, it's more rose and sandalwood.
Are there any perfumers whose creations you intentionally avoid / boycott
>>18544634I smell a natural lavender flower from the ground and it smells like soap. Smells are nothing more than the memories we associate with them. Putting lavender in every cleaning product for decades makes it nearly impossible to think of anything else.
>L'Exclusif>200% tip on top of the regular Blue de Chanel plsWho are they kidding?
>>18544879I avoid female perfumers whenever possible. There is just something about their compositions that feels lacking like they need a little more oomph, not bad but just too mild and in the background for my tastes. I don't like every composition by male perfumers but even when I hate it the message and intention is very clear.
>>18544604Anyone tried the new Cool, James Cool? I'm not really feeling it.
I bought a decant off some dude on fb and then when I finished it, I bought a full bottle of the frag. Turns out the decant was a really bad fake that smells nothing like the og, however I actually like it better and find the real one lame.
>>18544897your new bottle may have to macerate first. maybe the seller could tell you what he gave you? Like, wow, do you happen to know a fragrance that smells similar to this but isn't as expensive?
>>18544878I would never be able to get CK Obsession since whenever I would glance towards it, I would be reminded of the Obsession for men tranny wojak pic
>>18544897>Turns out the decant was a really bad fakeThis is why I can never buy decants, even if it rarely happens the thought would consume my mind and ruin the scent. I actually bought a used fragrance and the thought it might be fake took all the enjoyment out of it, even when I figured out it was legit I couldn't enjoy it.
just how "soapy" is eldo exit the king? those types of frags tend to be really boring to me but everything else about the note breakdown isnt
>>18544880The name lavender is derived from the Latin 'lavare' meaning 'to wash' so this association goes back thousands of years.
>>18544910very soapy in a good way
>>18544713imo cinnamon is prominent in Egoistealso imo it's blind buy worthy
>>185447130 cinnamon in egoiste
>>18544925wrong, a cinnamon note is definitely there
>>18544927>t. noselet
>>18544930no u
>>18544925>t.noselet
>>18544647H24 has low ratings on fragrance database sites and the general public doesn't know or care about it at all. TDH is still very popular.
>>18544634 He’s technically right with >>18544636But >>18544880 is correct as well, the aroma profiles of many florals have become ubiquitous with cleaning products, to the point where they eclipse the natural source. It’s the same with citruses and cleaning products. If a perfumer is diligent with how they make citrus notes they can smell natural, but if all they do is dump in limonene or linalool then people are going to associate it with the -other- thing people commonly encounter with concentrated aromachemicals (cleaning supplies) as opposed to the natural source. >>18544881Yeah… Chanel dropped the ball here and I don’t see L’Exclusif being a big seller. I don’t follow Chanel enough historically to know how often they discontinue releases (it doesn’t seem like they do, since all the Allure line is still in production except Superleggara) BUT I could even see L’Exclusif being discontinued due to lack of sales. It’s not like they’re gonna drop the price lol, which is the only thing they can really do to make it more desirable. They just did so many things wrong. They know they’re competing against Sauvage for -the- men’s market pillar, but didn’t want to admit it with their “We don’t follow trends we set them” mindset. Didn’t pivot enough on the scent to make it more interesting like Elixir did, they waited waaay (7 fucking years lol) too long to release anything allowing Sauvage to continue its foothold, and while I’m not saying the performance is bad, it certainly not on par with Elixir, which is what the public wants - love it or hate it. And that’s all separate from the price point. They can stand on their platitudes as if they were in the right, but in the end it’s going to net them a failed fragrance and at the end of the day they’re trying to make sales on their fragrances, not statements. >/End Rant>P.S. Own a L’Exclusif full bottle unregretfully, just don’t plan on replacing it after it’s empty.
>>18544885What’s your opinion on Bianchi?>>18544886I… don’t get it. (The comic, not your post)>>18544910Didn’t come off as soapy at all to me, very floral, but it’s been a couple years since I sniffed it so take with a grain of NaCl.
>>18544911Good to know.
>>18544713halston z14 is a cinammon bomb
>>18544955I smelled this a while ago and it seems the modern version is all soap with little to no cinnamon.
>>18544962how modern of a version?as far as I'm aware it used to be very masculine and VERY oakmoss heavy with cinammon but since oakmoss has been banned they turned up the cinammon to 11my bottle isn't old nor is it new I think it's like 3-4 years old if I remember the batchcode check correctly
>>18544964No idea, it was just a sample, but it was 100% soap and no cinnamon what so ever, was very disappointed.
>>18544942This is just the soft launch, they will do a huge campaign for the holidays: "L'new L'Exclusif de L'Chanel". It doesn't matter if it's good or not, normalfags will buy the new mainstream shit. The price IS the appeal, "it must be good if it cost so much".
>>18544964If The Gay Dragon’s Basenotes review can be trusted, it’s the most modern version (as of 2018) that smells like cinnamon candy, which honestly I think I would love. Unfortunately 2018 was a long time ago and it’s entirely possible it has since been reformulated -again- to just be lathered white soap bar. The next time I pick up anything from a discounter I’ll prob throw in a bottle just for the hell of it since they’re less than $20 anyway.

>>18544833>What does it smell like? 2 and 2 man are in my top 5 frags. It's an aldehydic floral leather with a shitton of glue. Yes, glue, it has a listed note of industrial glue and brown scotch tape.
>>18544936>H24 has low ratings on fragrance database sitesArguably because people got way too hyped up for the successor to TerreThere are also lots of popular fragrances that are disliked on fragrance sites, so that's not saying much in terms of commercial success
>>18545007Get something else, Code is too sweet and heavy for a daily fragrance and Myslf is meh.Get Dior Homme or Bois Imperial if you want good quality inoffensive daily wear fragrances
People today say you can't pull of frags like Polo, Aramis, Obsession, unless you are over 40 or 50 years old but when these frags came out they were worn by every 18-21 year old.Sometimes I think these 'rules' about what you can and can't wear are complete bullshit and should be ignored.Fashion is just another word for conformity.

>>18545022>Sometimes I think these 'rules' about what you can and can't wear are complete bullshit and should be ignored.well of coursethere are no rules in fragrancesthere are only manufacturer suggestions and your tastesI've been wearing "old man" scents since I was 18 and I'm not gonna stop
>>18545024Doesn't even matter, they're all vile in the same way.
>>18545022Fashions change. Top hats were also worn by every trendy young guy in the 1890s, but nowadays people will look at you funny if you wear them.
>>18545018What about the new Prada?I don't like DH2020 because I get noseblind to iso E very easilyI've worn BI a fair bit two years ago, I wouldn't buy it again though

>>18545182I may just end up doing that… somehow I doubt they’re going to do it for these oldies though. Regardless, yeah, prob gonna end up buying it. Just waiting for an excuse.
>egoistegoofy ahh frag
>>18545191I can't seem to find on their website where it mentioned that. Could be worth contacting them to confirm. Also if you like cinnamon, Angels Share is really good and can be sampled at Sephora. I had a 20% off coupon there that I used on a travel spray and it's very comfy.
>>18545209I saw them advertising it for the new BdC prior to the release, which I had never seen before, and is why I think they won’t do it for the oldies like Egoiste or Antaeus, but I could be wrong. And that’s a good point regarding Angel’s Share, I’ve been meaning to test that and just haven’t got around to it.
>>18545229If you get an instagram ad for the new BdC and it says "sign up" or "learn more" and its from the official chanel page, you can put your address in and they'll send you a free sample. Same for the new PdM extraits.

>>18545231I already own a full bottle. I’ve complained about this a few times already but I drove several hours to one of their fragrance boutiques hoping to get samples of both Egoiste and Antaeus with my purchase and they claimed they didn’t have samples or even the supplies to make samples. Was very disappointing.
>>18545283I didn't say it was for a friend. I don't make friends with people in the fragrance community because most of them are ugly and have bad taste.

I got a bottle of Escada Pour Homme Casual Friday. It starts mild with some sweet almost medicinal spices. Then it goes into white florals with lily of the valley and jasmine. It lulls you before the cinnamon and carnation explodes giving it an old school masculine intensity. It's pretty rough for those that fear the old masculine scents but after you endure it you get some amazing base notes with tonka and vanilla. It's the same play-by-play as the original Escada PH but while the original is elegant and sophisticated, Casual Friday brightens up the spices and adds plenty of sweetness to make it more, well, casual. It not surprising, since they are not very common, that most people don't know that Casual Friday is clearly a flanker of PH. It lasts quite a bit but mostly projects in the heart notes, which aren't tame and reminiscent of Halston's Catalyst with their spice, almost analgesic, overload. The bottle is quite unique with its opaque beige glass and textured fabric label.
>>18544823Toy Boy is accurate

SOTD: Kouros

Moschino released Toy Boy 2. Interesting note breakdown, doesn’t look like it will be similar to the original though.
>>18545152>It basically just adds more vanilla and tones down the Barrel Note as a whole. And that's all Fahrenheit needs to feel more modern and mass-appealing
>>18545176Guerlain Cuir Intense (similar to tom ford leathers but a bit more complex and slightly dirtier)La Yuqawam (clone of Tuscan Leather, which I prefer to Ombre)ELDO Clean Suede (softer leather, better price)
>>18544754BR540 and Secretions Magnifiques.
>>18545098It's greener, less candy-like and a tad less metallic.I like it the most among its line, but I like TdH more, especially the Parfum, which also smells a hint greener and less peppery and the EDT.
>>18545176If you like the smell of a new leather product, Ombre Leather is unbeatable. If you want more leather and less solvents, Italian Leather by MEMO or any other of their leathers.
>>18545598Smells like it should be a Boss Bottled flanker. Quite boring really. I'm not a fan of the original Toy Boy but at least it's somewhat unique for a men's fragrance.
>>18545263On an unrelated note, Le Male is a great frag. There's not nearly as much vanilla and it's not nearly as sweet as people on here say, it has a nice progression from start to finish and it's quite cheap for its quality.
>>18545631Le Male is weird to me , it's somewhere between gourmand and fougere. If you can somehow taste the blue sky right before dawn, they did it perfectly. Any other frags like this?
>>18545631>>18545646I also like Le MaleIt's basically a fougere fused with a sweet drydown that reminds me of Christmas cookiesI think later flankers lost the balance of the original though, when I smelled Elixir it was full on megasweet caremelslop
>>18545631I've only smelled four of those, and the descriptions provided are absolute ass.
>>18545657never trust /frag/
>>18545650Yeah, it's the perfect level of sweetness I can tolerate. I think it's the cardamom that refines it, I also like other cardamom frags such Dior Homme, LNDL, Gentleman Society and I even bought a sample of a feminine leaning one (Mimosa and Cardamom) as because they add a grainy gingerbread vibe.

First time posting in one of these. Inherited this half-full Azarro pour Hommes from my father that wore it when going out in the late 90s/early 2000s.I like it but it only works well when I dress up in dress pants/fancy printed button-down with boots/dress shoes. If I were to describe my style, it would be an emulation of 1960's/70's freak/hippie rockstar culture. Otherwise just basic earth tone working man's outfits. I live on the east coast of America and am attending college in a small town. Looking to maximize my chances of finding a qt 3.14 gf by dressing well, hygiene, etc. so I'm really looking for a recommendation on a similar fragrance once this bottle runs out.>Age23>SeasonFall/Winter Semester>Olfactory preferencesI don't have much to go off, but my friend's Nuit d’Issey by Issey Miyake is easily the nicest frag I've witnessed.I had some shit CK IN2U for Him by Calvin Klein that I got for Christmas in highschool, didn't really fw the Summer vibe and a bit too fruity and beta for my taste.I'm by no means a gigachad, at 5'9 king of the manlets tier with skinny athletic physique, pale white western euro complexion, green eyes, flowing shaggy curtains copperish brown hair and a 70s mustache. I do think I can pull something this mature off though, I'm secure enough in my masculinity and have plenty of skills and passions. I also smoke cigarettes and end my days with a bowl of mary jew anna. Something to complement the cig scent would be peak yaknow senpai. So yeah something similar to this and Issey's Nuit with best stats would be epic if you have some recommendations for where to go from here. Thanks for reading blogpost.

>>18546136It's not similar to Egoiste at all. It is a leather chypre, but less offensive and in your face than Rien.
>>18545861Versace L'homme is very similar to Azzaro but without the anise and is equally affordable. I found it to have broader utility as well, if you find the Azzaro to lean more formal. You could also try Knize Ten though it can be difficult to get ahold of and probably leans even more formal than Azzaro. You should also try Drakkar Noir as it's another classic men's scent from that era and is very very cheap, though the performance has been severely degraded with reformulations. If you enjoy it you can always upgrade to Bon Monsieur. Aramis might be up your alley too, it's a leathery mens fragrance that makes me think of a board meeting in the 60s. If you'd like to look into something that still has that old fashioned character but a bit more modernized Lalique Pour Homme (lion bottle) is very very good especially for the price. I can't really suggest anything based on the Miyake fragrance as I've never tried it, but I did pick up a bunch of old school classics fairly early on in my collection.
>>18545646>If you can somehow taste the blue sky right before dawnDid you drop acid in the middle of your post?>>18545844Damn dude, didn’t you post about purchasing that like 2-3 threads ago?>>18545861Azzaro Pour Homme (APH) is a great somewhat old timey masculine scent that will make you smell a little older without being fully grandpa, but definitely groomed. It’s also rather unique due to the prominent anise note. Unfortunately you’re not gonna get a ton of overlap between professional groomed scents like Azzaro and something to help you pull qt 3.14’s (your personality should be doing that anyway, not your fragrance) because a lot of younger women will want sweet gourmand type scents which aren’t typically super groomed smelling. BUT! I have one excellent suggestion and then one ‘okay’ one as well. Excellent - Eau des Baux by L’Occitane. It’s both groomed, a little professional and a little sweet, perfect for cooler months. Okay - Sauvage Elixir by Dior. It’s less groomed but definitely more mass appealing and sweet, just be judicious with your application because the performance is leagues above the APH you’re used to. Also ignore the dude that said Kouros.
>>18544974I doubt it, the fragrance scene has changed a lot since Chanel’s last big men’s release, normalfags are buying niche now.
>>18544604Any good alternative for Dark Rebel Rider?
>>18545944As the others have said it’s definitely nothing like Fahrenheit, but I would disagree that it’s definitely a little dirty/funkier than people are giving it credit for. Kouros adjacent as far as body odor notes go. >>18545978Take notes people, this is how you reveal trolls if you can’t do it from reading the post alone. If all they post is an empty criticism/insults, it can safely be ignored. And they won’t provide any meaningful follow up because it opens them up to criticism. >>18546066I got a sample recently of all three and just briefly sniffed the top notes, personally I don’t care for any of them because even for something boring and safe there are better frags, but to answer your question the Parfum seemed superior. >>18546107It’s fucking weird. I swear on my life around the heart notes there’s something that comes off as cigarette smoke to my nose. The profile as a whole isn’t bad, it’s certainly the best flanker they’ve released since Extreme, but I don’t think it will dethrone it, just an alternative option.
shut up derek
>>18546176>Damn dude, didn’t you post about purchasing that like 2-3 threads ago?yeah, took them about two weeksi think they underestimated the demand - 70 EUR and free shipping for 10 [big name fashion house with 200+ EUR frags] samples is not too bad in 2025let's hope they are not shit>Did you drop acid in the middle of your post?kek>>18545861Azzaro PH is greatKouros is also great but probably not for youcheck out Nuit d’Issey Parfum, Zino or maybe YSL Babycat (also created by Dominique Ropion)>>18546178>normalfags are buying niche nowx doubt>>18546198lolwut
>>18546198Can’t be sure who you’re talking to since you didn’t (you) anyone, but assuming it was me, I’m flattered you would think that highly of me, but I’m no Gay Dragon.

>>18546209That insecurity is hard to miss, now get back in the locker.
>>18545861L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme Intense has some shared notes with Nuit, but it's suitable for day or night and has slightly better performance imo. Pasha de Cartier Parfum is worth looking at as an alternative to Sauvage Elixir, being that it 'modernizes' an old-school scent profile (balsam fir stands out to me). I would get this over Boss Bottled Elixir, too. Opium Pour Homme has a star anise note like the Azzaro, but otherwise it's a very cozy spicy/powdery scent with a drydown that holds up very well alongside many modern offerings by YSL, Gucci, et al.
>>18544622nothing is better in a general sensealso i can't fucking get colognes sent to me in alaskathis is the worsti know what i want to buy but absolutely no one ships to mei thought when i bought auto parts it was about the weight but fuck this, cologne weighs nothingi have money to spend on scents but i'm used to spending more for shipping and they can't give me shitFUCKi may as well be australian

bought a bottle of osmanthus 19 and i can say it was worth every dollar, its woody and floral, a bit smokey, almost like the noir but sweeter and a lot more free

Can someone explain how the fuck can I still smell the Tobacco Vanille I sprayed on my watch strap on February this year?
>>18546452I get the impression that EN a l'Extreme might be similar, but I've never tried it so who knows.Same goes for Bentley Absolute.
>>18546452>>18546577EN a l'extreme and bentley absolute are not similar to CDG 2 Man at all, I've smelled all threeHonestly I doubt there are good clones of that fragrance, you should save up and just buy it if you like it, it's an okay price
>>18546533These spicy vanilla fragrances get old quickly, I still have a lot of Eau des Baux left yet I never feel like wearing it
>>18546507You have never smelled seaweed
>>18545978>Rien III assume that calling this an incense fragrance was a joke on ELDO's side in a similar fashion to creating up a mish mash of multiple very pungent scents with a thermonuclear projection and infinite longevity and then calling it "rien", ie. "nothing". The scent is sweaty, slightly fecal, faux leather doused in nail polish remover with something sorta floral in the very far distance. It smells like sweaty anal sex inside a chemical toilet with no incense ("olibanum" lol) in sight.>Mystic incenseThis is just a straight up gourmand that smells mostly like carnival-style caramelized apples with almost nothing else going on. Absolutely clean, zero smoke and no distinguishable incense note in there.>InterludeI can agree with this being a sweet amber with tons of cinnamon and pepper, but calling it smoky and dry is a stretch. There's a very strong sugary and almost syrupy feel running through it.>Full incenseThis definitely smells resinous at first with a sparkly metallic tone but it quickly turns into a slightly green and fresh, plain sweet scent with that screechy dna every montale frag seems to have.SOTD: Kouros
SOTD: Al-Rehab Silver
>>18546507It's Tom Ford
>>18546612Rien II doesn't smell like liturgical incense, it smells like incense sticks Maybe you're interpreting that smoke as leather, but to me it smells like the anal sex in that toilet is accompanied by a lot of burning incense sticks
>>18546612you didn't "assume" that, it's literally part of the promo text. fucking imposter.
>>18546506I’d wear any of the BdC flankers over Myslf. >Captcha pp4tp>peepee for toilet paper

I might be controversial but for years I've ever only used scents by Lush. They truly offer(ed) something no one other would. I could go through a regular stores perfume section and not be interested by anything on display scent wise but with Lush I find so many interesting scents that I coudn't find anywhere else. I have a whole collection of just Lush perfumes. Mind you there are Lush perfumes that I find very boring and recently they moved away from experimental scents towards safe citrusy and sweets scents but I will never forget trying my first scent ever from Lush which was The Smell of Weather Turning, I still have it and wear it to this day. Used to have to import it from the UK but thankfully they started selling it everywhere.Same with Breath of God, my go to for parties for a decade now.
>>18546550In my minds eye, this is exactly what the incredible Mr. gassy wears
>>18546592What's a better winter staple?
>>18546612>there's no olibanum in Rien II>there's no smoke in Mystic IncenseThere's a lot of olibanum in Rien II, and there's a bit of smoke in Mystic Incense.Maybe smell them again, and if you can't find them you're either using the wrong words to describe your impressions or you're a noselet.

>>18545361i also got this recently and have not worn it yet.found the 40ml completely full for $30 and figured why not. will be trying this thank you for review
>>18546688you'd know from experience, pajeet
Are Dior, YSL and Chanel noticeably higher quality compared to more budget designer brands?
>>18546783>found the 40ml completely full for $30You lucky bastard. The second time I tested it the sweetness was a bit too much for me. It does perform. I'll try it again in winter, but if I still can't handle the sweetness it might not be for me.
Tell me about Chanel Allure Homme. Is it good?
hn>>18546809It's good but the vanilla aromatic stuff gets boring quick plus there's better stuff in their line
>>18546794Yes, in so far as their 80s-00s legacy scents are still worth buying. But even some of their newer releases like DH2020 and Y Elixir are way better than most competition on the Sephora shelf.
>>18546794You’ll get tons of different answers to this based purely on people’s own biases. What I would say are the ones you named are a bit more consistent, but there are plenty of budget/cheapie individual fragrances that are equal quality to big name designers. >>18546809Don’t think I’ve smelled the original, but as >>18546832 said there’s better stuff within the same line. The Eau Extreme (CAHSEE) I think is the most popular and is in fact very good.
>>18546692Riveting critique anon
>>18546572Vanilla lasts for months, molecules on your skin evaporate with heat but on clothes and surfaces like watch straps it can last a very long time.
>>18546789Nice comeback sukdeep, tell me, what do you wear when you’re prowling the village looking for an aids ridden fag to stir your curry?
>>18546794Dior, Chanel, Hermes and Guerlain tend to be the best quality big designer brands that actually give a shit about their fragrance division. That's why they employ their own house perfumers instead of just contracting shit out to whatever rando they can get.YSL fragrances are owned by L'Oréal and are known for weird reformulations, cost cutting and other such business, so they are in a lower tier nowadays. Even though they used to be one of the top brands for a long time. That being said, there are very good fragrances made by cheaper designer brands too, you just have to search for them more.
had a dream I was walking down a street lined with peony, lavender and some vanilla, and thought to myself that would make a nice perfume. Does such a combo exist?
>>18546794People like to say this but I don't think it's trueValentino has good stuff, so does Armani, so does Hermes, etc. I would say Dior overall has the most consistently solid releases while YSL is always good and rarely great and Chanel has been resting on BdC's success for too long now
Can someone recommend me a fragnance? i live in Europe, hot region. I really like sweet. chocolate frags, my favorite one so far is al rehav choco musk. i wonder if there's any frags that smells like a chocolate under 20 euro
