Question: do alcohol calories count?
>>
>>18545213
yes. after a night of drinking, the dehydration makes you lose more weight the night before, but it depends on how much you're drinking, and if you can control yourself even while drunk from eating. I binge eat when I drink.
>>
Today, I really wanted to eat a slice of pizza that I know is 330 calories for dinner. I made an error in my counting and ended up with 308 calories left for the day instead of 333 like I thought. I was irate. I screamed and clutched my head.
I considered doing exercise to make up for the extra calories, but then I had the epiphany that doing more exercise for the express purpose of eating more food would have undoubtedly been considered gluttony, which would have set a bad precedent for myself if entertained. A Christian shouldn't be ruled by a desire for food.

I could just as easily eat it tomorrow, I suppose, but perhaps I'll take this mistake of mine as a sign and not have the pizza at all. People like me love seeing providence where others see coincidence.

I got pretty whasted last night and I was so good, didn't have pasta or pizza or anything. I just cooked up a couple juicy third pound burgers medium rare an just ate them on the plate.

I haven't had hardly any carbs in like 6+ weeks. I've had a couple sandwiches in the last month or two, and some mashed potato once, but absolutely no rice, pasta, noodles, sweets/pastries, chips. etc.
>>
>>18545248
I actually had a realization this morning that it's not "exercising to eat," but more "eating to exercise." If you eat, say, an extra slice of pizza, it's like all the wheat that went into the crust, the tomatoes grown by people all over the world, the cows that've given their milk for the cheese are all cheering you on, telling you to use the calories they've given up for you for a good end.
When I reframe my thinking in that way, it's like I have a cheerleading squad of dozens of species all telling me to run an extra thirty minutes today, so that I can run even further tomorrow.
>>
>>18545273
if you're doing keto that's very good please just trust yourself you can do it also be careful all the same
>>
>>18545323
not doing keto really, just realised I was eating like 5 serves a pasta a day and had love handles. I drink a lot of calories on the weekend and with work being so busy the last year I haven't been getting as much exercise as usual so yeah, just cutting out all the really calorie dense shit that doesn't offer much nutrition. I'm eating plenty of meat, fish, fruit, veg and got my adonis belt back.

pic not nearly as related as I wish it was

are you hoping to attract a gentleman? i think this is the kind of thing that would turn my head
>>
>>18545314
What a beautiful perspective. This website never ceases to amaze me. I think the intent has everything to do with it. In my case, I was seriously craving pizza, so I decided that even reframing the thought process like that would still be an act of gluttony. I think this is because denial is one of the first approaches I use in most situations.
Nevertheless, food is a gift, and if I find myself in a situation where I end up eating extra calories for any reason, I think I'll think about what you said. Using what we are given is important, and using it towards a positive end is proper to me.

hi idk anything about this thread but
I've been easily restricting down to 600 calories a day without much issue
I've been eating one meal a day and doing extended fasts for years and been fine
but I'm worried recently because it's been harder and harder to convince myself to eat a reasonable amount or finish my food and I don't know if it's a problem or not
500 to 700 calories is plenty to make me full for the next 24 hours and anything else feels excessive and usually makes me tired
it's only been a couple weeks of going from an average of 1200 a day to an average of around the low 600s
I've got _plenty_ of body fat still so I should be fine, right?
how do I stop the urge to go lower? am I fucked?
I'm also worried about my brain desu
>>
>>18545495
I suspect that's not enough intake anon. you need quickly available energy but also you're going to end up with nutrient deficits. I go down to like 1000 a day when I'm trying to cut the fat but I take vitamins and omega 3s and also have meal replacement shakes once a day or so just to help with micros and protein

>went from being 6'1" 133lbs at my skinniest, too underweight to join the army so they made me gain weight first to now 200lbs and hating my body
I downloaded the Lose It! app and created a plan and I'm genuinely excited about it. My biggest thing is I just like to snack. I'll binge and binge because I wasn't tracking anything but now I'm tracking everything and cutting myself off after my last meal
I'm very optimistic, brothers

I hate this type of thinking. Why are you telling us about your failures? By saying that you are going to do something you admit that you haven't achieved your goal(s). It's depressing. This isn't a worthwhile topic for discussion and you should keep it to yourself. Also it makes you focus more on the end goal instead of what you can do to achieve it. Next time say something like "I did xyz to bring me closer to my goal of abc" instead of "ohhh I want to achieve abc" or at the very least discuss with anons what you can do to achieve your goal. What is your plan anon?

Okay, fine
I got down to 13.5% body fat recently, and I plan to return to my usual schedule of gym 3x week instead of just once - I fell behind at university but i'm getting through the work now. Once I run out of food in the fridge I'll start a cut, down to 8 or 9% which I plan to maintain. I'm also keeping to wanking just once a week to help with motivation
I'd be happy to share my workout routine if you want

After stagnating for weeks, I have finally gotten back on track. Man, I had forgotten just how much of an intoxicating feeling it is to get visibly thinner. Seeing that my hips have gotten slimmer makes me all the more eager to slim down even further.

I'm 100% there with you right now anon. What's your routine? Just cutting out carbs and sugars and such or are you going into an exercise routine, or both?

For me, it's just been cutting my intake because I was eating boatloads of carbs for no reason. Trying to get back into proper exercise but that part is hard rn

In terms of diet, I avoid junk food like the plague, and restrict myself to eating only fruits, vegetables, lean meat, fish, rice cakes, nuts, seeds, and the occasional whole wheat bread roll (obviously not all on one day). Also, I barely ever have dinner. On top of that, I run in place for about an hour a day. I don't bother with counting calories or weighing myself, as I am the type to grow ridiculously neurotic when I do so.
The only thing that has changed in the past few days is that I've been eating less. Prior to that, I had been eating at - presumably, given that I was neither getting thinner nor fatter - maintenance for a couple of weeks. Even if it does make me feel guilty at times, I guess I sort of do have an excuse for doing so, as I only eat at maintenance when it is to regain my period. Admittedly, I am prioritizing aesthetics over health, but even so, I am still worried about causing damage to my hormones by not having my period (not too long ago, I didn't have it for months, and trying to regain it was a major pain, for it meant having to eat more).
...this turned into a bit of a tangent towards the end, but I hope my post will prove helpful to some. Ultimately, it all pretty much comes down to eating less and moving more.
>>
>>18546742
Forgot to add that the period thing is one aspect where I am jealous of guys, in that they don't have to worry about such things when cutting.
>>
i want to get back to being skinny but every couple days i binge on impulse without thinking of the consequences until after. how do i remind myself what my goal is in that moment
spoonfeed me anons im so retarded
>>
>>18547519
Tape a paper with your GW to the fridge, scale in front of the kitchen door/doorframe.
Also get rid of things you can impulsively binge on.
>>
Genuine question: am I retarded?
>19M, 176cm,105kg
>Planning to restrict to 700 calories a day
I’ve been trying to lose weight for about half my lifetime at this point, so my mindset now is go big or go home. Only issue is at this rate my body will quite literally waste away by 2027 (according to losertown at least)
Another question. I’ve just started regularly lifting weights, however because of these lower calories should I instead focus on running or walking instead? Thanks
>>
Back on keto, calorie counting, and drinking spirits/wine instead of beer. I used to look ripped and it was awesome, but the feeling of being ripped was better. Felt like a lean jungle cat, always ready to pounce.
