a little bit right now, but things are trending away from sneakers and towards real shoes. in 1-3 years it will be pretty normal.
wearing athletic sneakers all the time is pretty child coded and consooooomer coded and open toed shoes on men are disgusting. so loafers are a pretty good choice.

Loafers are uncomfortable and in the real world people will look at you weird - unless MAYBE you're in the right circles in New York or Paris.

I wouldn't be against getting a cheap pair and seeing if you actually wear them, though. I got some made in spain ones with a leather sole for 70 euro and I regret spending even that.

Loafers are great but it can be awkward if you don’t know what you’re doing. Context matters, what you wear them with matters. They are the single most versatile shoe for everything from casual to formal though. I have two pairs of loafers I wear with everything from jeans to suits.
