Where could one find shirts similar to those of the gentlemen in picrel? What are those patterns of striping called?
>>18550099>https://kamakurashirts.com/collections/kamakura-classics/products/wqgh07Looks kind of retarded in colour
>>18549437it's alright but not for /tip/I think for /tip/ it's too bright of a green and the material looks kind of synthetic in the photo
>>18550253Would a wool full zip be much better?
>>18550099You buy the fabric from a shirting store and get them stitched by a tailor.
Can I layer an ocbd with a 4 button cableknit fisherman sweater and then a dylan jacket or is there too much going on
>>18550099Bengal stripes.
So I’ve dressed kinda preppy with pocket tees and chino shorts or blank tees with jeans for most of my life and now that I’m older I want to lean into this style a little bit more but I’m having a hard time actually fitting it into my lifestyle. I work from home so I do house work or a workout kind of sporadically and even going out it doesn’t really work because nobody around me dresses this way. I’ve noticed that women also find it very unappealing. I get less attention when I wear a polo shirt or OCBD than when I wear a basic black tee with jeans and boots. What am I doing wrong and how have you fit this style into your life?
>>18550604You tuck you OCBD and wear it in relaxed fit. Same goes for chinos. Relaxed fit will make you look more, well, relaxed and comfortable, rather than like an office worker in modern slim fit clothes. And don't sag your pants. Wear them at your proper waist. And try to wear more colors and patterns.
>>18550604>I get less attention when I wear a polo shirt or OCBD than when I wear a basic black tee with jeans and boots.People can tell when you're wearing a costume. There's a degree of being comfortable in your clothes and the clothes being worn in that you cannot fake.
>>18550608I already do this. It’s not the problem. I really just think these outfits give nice guy vibes at bars and clubs. >>18550611I never feel like I’m wearing a costume. I always feel totally comfortable.
Hey /tip/, long time no seeHow am I doing?
>>18550604>. I get less attention when I wear a polo shirt or OCBD than when I wear a basic black tee with jeans and boots. You hang around the wrong people mate
>>18550604Wear a white tee belt relaxed khakis and loafers
>>18550099looks like an ombre on the right idk
>>18550699this dude's a linebacker viking
>>18550076
>>18550838aww thanks dudelast time i was here you people accused me of being FtM
>>18551021in fairness this was like 4 years ago but im glad to hear i look better now!
>>18551029Can you ban the guy threatening to rape Pigslim? Why do you allow rapists to post on this board?
>>18551030nope>>18551031god i wish that was me
>>18551033im not a janny, sorry
>>18550699Would you date pigslim? He's trained in MMA. He can protect you from creeps
>>18551039ive no interest, im getting married next month
>>18550548certainly
>>18550631>I really just think these outfits give nice guy vibes at bars and clubs.well seeing as an ocbd with chinos is not a bar or club ensemble your problems are clearif you wanna wear smarter clothing to a club then wear a plain dress shirt with slacksor a tee with jeans since it seems to be working for you when you wear it
>>18550700Brother, I worked at a prop firm and hedge fund and now am doing research. I’ve spent my whole life in the Northeast or Europe. I’m not sure what more I can do. >>18551173I’ll wear whatever works for going out. It’s rather than this style just doesn’t seem to fit my lifestyle otherwise then. Like I said, I work from home. So 6 am to 6 pm I’m at home and at random times busting out a workout in the garage, or plowing the driveway, or raking leaves, or hauling away tree branches. I really like this style but it doesn’t seem to fit my lifestyle.
What's a TIP staple you just don't find yourself wearing? For me it's boat shoes, I'm 90% of the time in loafers and when I do need a casual shoe I go for white sneakers.
>>18551770Boat shoes used to be popular a decade ago idk what happened Yeah loafers are awesome and stylish
>>18551770Loafers. Fuck those gay shoes. I'd much rather wear sandals.
>>18551770Wool jumpers, shetlands Too warm for indoor use and too inconvenient to use only for layering under jackets
>>18551798Sandals are for fags, You want some zesty homeless man to lick your feet and cum on your feet?
>>18550076I'm looking for some unexpensive shirts, knitwear and maybe some chinos/t-shirts (for the next black friday), but the brands I used to know are getting obscenely expensive.Any suggestion? I don't care about the brand, but I want it to cost-effective.
>>18551798>Fuck those gay shoes.>posts something even gayer
>>18550699>>18551041>>18551035i'm a little confused.so you are claiming that you're polycom1? but you're not a janny? if you are the person you are claiming to be then we know you were a janny at one point in time.what happened? it comes off like you support the spammer and his activity unless you can give us an explanation/proof you're not a janny anymore.
>>18551770Camp mocs > boat shoes anyway
>>18551875I get hate for saying this but we’re so right. In a world where the only time you’d want a wool sweater is when it’s cold outside it’s simply not enough for being outdoors and too much for being indoors where it’s heated. They’re a relic of a time where indoors weren’t so heated.
>>18553033Sad but true
>>18551798>non-selvedge mall jeansyeah it checks out
>>18551020yeah no idea what that means my dude but your style sucks cold dogshit i mean do you actually think that shit is preppy
>>18551798Weird these jeans have a chainstitch hem but aren't selvedge
>>18553025This ain’t your blog son. Return to the pigslim general you schizophrenic dysgenic weakling faggot freak.
>>18553204>>18553206You gonna cry Pigslim? This ain’t your blog, son. Reduce yappin
>>18553109>muh selbejFucking denim fags. Nothing wrong with non-selvedge jeans. All it means to have those selvedge lines is that it was made on old ass looms. Has nothing to do with the quality.
>>18553213What are you yappin about schizo? Quit ruining the /tip/ thread. Return to your containment thread before I crush your faggot skull.
>>18553214>Has nothing to do with the quality.it sorta does. shuttle looms have a higher ceiling for quality and require less cost/changes in tooling to tweak and make custom fabrics on it. you can make better denim on one. that being said a lot of shuttle looms are used to mass produce middle-tier stuff that you could make on a projectile loom just fine.projectile looms get a bad rap because 99% of them are set up to mass produce slop as cheap as possible. but that's just profit incentive dictating that, not the technology itself. his jeans look just as nice as any other sanforized selvedge jeans i've seen.
drake's ocbds just increased to 225gbp. fucking insane.
>>18553301You’re the one spamming the thread, Pigslim. It’s time to take your meds son.
>>18553286It’s me, Pigslim. They call me the uncanny tranny
>>18553220drakes doesn't care because the kinds of people that shop from drakes are richif you're complaining about their prices then drakes isn't for you and they don't care that you're upset
>>18553220O'Connell's already solved OCBDs with their unlined and unfused ones there's no need for anything else
>>18550845The average pol user is proleterian lower class and look like picrel. Real anglo saxon white protestant trads are centrist/neoliberals. Being racist is for losers, real chads are classist instead.
>>18553538>because the kinds of people that shop from drakes are richIf you believe that lmao. It's an utterly middle class coded brand.
>>18553767>NeoliberalsNo. A neoliberal is just someone who wants to cuck the world but also make it very hedonistically gay. Like a big orgy but you’re not invited to it. Like trying to make people jealous over Coachella, when you’re not missing much. The beauty is just a facade.
>>18553774utterly lower class proletarian opinion
>>>/pol/
>>18553767>racism vs classismwhynotboth.jpg
>>18553025im not either of those people
