>>18551849>A*MenSurprisingly decent, it's very sweet but somehow manageable, the problem is that it's so strong you really have to like it or it's going to feel like an assault. The non-sweet notes are actually the best like the green notes on top and the patchouli in the mids. I don't get any coffee. I have no idea how the new versions perform, I have a vintage.
Recomend me a fragrance, it should be well recieved by woman not over the age and bmi of 25 it should smell repulsive to black, indian, slavic, south east asian, white, and brazilian woman. The bottle should be Glas with a magnetic lid and the color of the liquid should not be transparent.
I saw this on sale, remembered an anon talking about it and instantly ordered it.Hope this smells good, did u guys bought fragrances because someone on this website recomended it? if so was it a good buy or bad

Yesterday another user discussed how metallic fragrances with lactonic nuances will define the 2040s, that made me wonder if I should create a fragrance like that, although admittedly I doubt any of the brands I work for would be interested in that sort of olfactory profile

Is Histoires de Parfums 1725 similar to Caron Pour un Homme?
I got a bottle of Tom Ford Grey Vetiver EDT. It starts off with a bit of lime-like citrus before going into a more green and woody sour scent, likely from the vetiver. It's quite elegant and masculine but wears comfortably meaning it's not too strong in performance. It's not the most dynamic scent but it isn't simple, you even get some fruity and smoky notes before it settles into something very clean.
>>18552278this scent only works if you're a man in your 40s with a decent jobI never got the fruity or smoky notes you speak of, to me the frag is just many faces of vetiver, all clean-er and fresh-er ones
>>18551831I have contributed to a handful of brands pictured on your chart, mostly in the upper brackets. I would restructure certain aspects in the lower tiers as I think some brands are treated a little unfairly. On that note, the quality of a fragrance is not tied to its monetary value, especially as qualitatively speaking, the suppliers all these brands draw from are the same. I believe that the more time a Perfumer is given to develop a fragrance, and the more creative liberties he is given, the better the end result will be. Unfortunately, there is little room for creativity in certain markets where the projections and hypotheses of marketing teams are given more attention than the suggestions of the Perfumer himself. >>18552031I have both my personal laboratory and a far better stocked one at my place of employment. As is often the case, you’re not completely able to leave work at the doorstep. If I were to approach creating a metallic scent with lactonic elements I would utilize Spirogalbanone, Floralozone, Ambroxan, Cis 3 Hexenyl salicylate in conjunction with some musks like Habanolide and Cashmeran for the metallic aspect. The lactones are easier. There are some mushroom materials that smell bloody and metallic at lower concentrations, but those molecules are hardly used, except in very experimental formulas. Traditionally metallic accords mostly consist of DHM, the damascones, Eucalyptol, mint and other cooling materials that enhance the cold steel facet. On the damascones note, rose oxide also has a metallic facet. It’s interesting how many different kinds of aromas can be created with DHM, from a lime note in VIW to lavender in Sauvage elixir

What would they wear, /frag/?
I find some fragrances are sexual and others are asexualWhat I mean by this is, some fragrances have a kind of sensual appeal, either in a masculine or feminine way, while others, while they can be attractive, are absolutely not "carnal", they do not evoke attractiveness in an alluring wayFor example: Bois Imperial smells great, but it is utterly asexual. No carnality, no sensuality, it's not masculine or feminine, it smells good in the same way a hotel lobby, a garden or a spa might smell good.On the other hand something like The One smells absolutely sexual despite not having any musk or civet or anything you would linearly associate with sexuality in the "pheromonal" sense

>>18551803The performance is fine. Chanel does good reformulations in general, they're not some L'Oreal brand that will reformulate scents after 2 years to have no longevity and smell completely different because it saves them 3 cents a bottle
>>18551816>Great bottleEh, it's tacky like all Armaf bottlesLalique Pour Homme, now that's a pretty lion themed bottle
>>18551831This type of chart makes sense for watches, but no sense for fragrance, as fragrance prices often have little to do with quality Also, this particular one doesn't even make sense pricepoint wise. Why is Caron three categories above Nasomatto if it's just pricepoint? If it's "prestige", why is a tacky slop brand like Bond no. 9 far above a storied one like Guerlain?
