Could we have a fragrance thread that's focused on actually smelling good and attractive rather than obsessing over painfully dated stuff that smells like what your grandpa wears?I'm trying to find a good fragrance for this winter, something that's versatile, sweet and sexy. It's mostly a cash grab and if you've ever visited a fragrance exhibition, they'll literally tell you that they mark up the price because of marketing and not because they spend particularly more on the juice from a raw ingredient stand point. Getting the ingredient can be more costly because they won't get the same bulk discounts as say Prada or Dior. There are some phenomenal niche fragrances though, but they're few and far apart. What's your budget?

Ignore the suggestions in this thread. I have smelled every single fragrance suggested in this thread thus far. Get Noir Extreme Parfum. It is the one in the solid gold bottle; it is a marked improvement over something you already like. Manlier, bolder, longer lasting — but still sweet.

Why does this note make everything smell worse? I think maybe because I smelt it a lot in oldschool British perfumery and associate it with old but I'm really not sure

Tried Scandal EDT at the mall today. Really good stuff especially on the drydown. The caramel top note is kinda annoying but it smooths out into something that's both fresh and cozy, leans a bit juvenile but it's still goodI don't understand why people cream themselves over SWY Intensely though, it just smells like sugary chestnuts to me

They last for up to 48 hours, seriously. The scent will be in your bubble for the first 12 - 24 and resign to a skin-scent after that. Worth picking up now 100% if you love the dna. Same goes for Prada Luna Rossa Black. I wish the original L'Homme from YSL had that kind of longevity, women love the smell itself. Versace Eros EdT/EdP and Boss Bottled Elixir is also up there, come to think of it. Beastmode or just shy of beastmode performance.
