Could we have a fragrance thread that's focused on actually smelling good and attractive rather than obsessing over painfully dated stuff that smells like what your grandpa wears?
I'm trying to find a good fragrance for this winter, something that's versatile, sweet and sexy. I used to wear Noir Extreme but finished the bottle and am looking to try something new.
>>

>I'm trying to find a good fragrance for this winter
Spicebomb
Spicebomb Extreme
Spicebomb Night vision
Spicebomb Infrared
Spicebomb Eau Fraiche
Spicebomb Dark Leather

There. Take your pick. /thread
>>
>>18559713
YSL La Nuit De L'Homme
Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male Le Parfum
Dior Homme Intense
Dior Homme Parfum
Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Privee
Tom Ford Noir (not the extreme)
Chanel Egoiste

I would generally recommend you to avoid niche fragrances. It's mostly a cash grab and if you've ever visited a fragrance exhibition, they'll literally tell you that they mark up the price because of marketing and not because they spend particularly more on the juice from a raw ingredient stand point. Getting the ingredient can be more costly because they won't get the same bulk discounts as say Prada or Dior. There are some phenomenal niche fragrances though, but they're few and far apart.

What's your budget?

Ignore the suggestions in this thread. I have smelled every single fragrance suggested in this thread thus far.

Get Noir Extreme Parfum. It is the one in the solid gold bottle; it is a marked improvement over something you already like. Manlier, bolder, longer lasting — but still sweet.
>>
>>18559894
Disregard this. I meant to say you should get Spicebomb Extreme, not this faggot shit.

Spicebomb Extreme takes the original Wpicebomb (which is good) and covers it in cheap vanilla frosting. It is trash for idiots.

Creed Adventus (Club de Nuit too) and most of Tom Ford

What's the deal with the listings on Vinted?

There's listing for like Creed and Tom Ford, 100ml sealed.. 35€ .

Where's the catch? Is it counterfeit or is it stolen?

Why does this note make everything smell worse? I think maybe because I smelt it a lot in oldschool British perfumery and associate it with old but I'm really not sure
>>
Anyway some current faves I recommend
>MFK L'homme A la Rose
Fresh green masc rose, only rose frag I really like apart from Ultime which is now discontinued
>Torino 22 Xerjoff
Airy tea-saffron-eucalyptus over wood, v versatile yet heavenly and well complimented
>Tom Ford Black Orchid Parfum
slightly masc version of the OG, decadent gourmandy floral women love this shit
>Lorenzo Pazzaglia Black Sea
It's a sexy salty dark marine that doesn't smell like a fish market, probably the only niche marine I ever wore in public
>D&G The One Intense for men
This is in the same ballpark as Noir Extreme, OP, except its citrusy and more leathery, not too unlike NE Parfum imo
>Kilian Smoking Hot
Smoky mysterious sweet apple hookah, would not call it versatile though, probably more for a fun night out
>>
>>18560254
Club De Nuit is 99.9% the same. Normal people can't tell the difference.
>>
>>18560351

Try initio paragon. It's very unique. Sweet, woody, aromatic. Beautiful scent. Or try mfk gentle fluidity silver. Smells like gin and tonic but in the best way. Similar to aventus in dry down.vvery unique as well. You definitely don't want to gay shit like sauvage and bdc

Tried Scandal EDT at the mall today. Really good stuff especially on the drydown. The caramel top note is kinda annoying but it smooths out into something that's both fresh and cozy, leans a bit juvenile but it's still good

Boss bottled absolu is up there. BdC EdT projects and lasts like mad on me (incl. clothes). Hmm, what else. Longevity on current LNDL batches are mad. They last for up to 48 hours, seriously. The scent will be in your bubble for the first 12 - 24 and resign to a skin-scent after that. Worth picking up now 100% if you love the dna. Same goes for Prada Luna Rossa Black. I wish the original L'Homme from YSL had that kind of longevity, women love the smell itself. Versace Eros EdT/EdP and Boss Bottled Elixir is also up there, come to think of it. Beastmode or just shy of beastmode performance.
>>

LNDL lasts now? It used to be The One tier

You know there's a reason the old school stuff is still among the most popular fragrances, right?

If you want to smell like a highschool boy because you're trying to get bisexual chicks who never emotionally moved past highschool by all means go for something like Aventus or Ultra Male.

One of the most popular right now is Lattafa Asad which is a knock off of Sauvage Elixir which ripped off Drakkar Noir.

Le Male Elixir has a top tier drydown but that honey note is kinda overbearing in warmer weather (and even in colder weather honestly)

>>
>>18563410
I feel like it has been reformulated like 4 times since 2009.
>>
>>18563412

I beg to disagree. It's the smoothest, sexiest and most elegant of all the Le Males in the drydown.
>>
>>18563311
I don’t buy that dudes are wearing gourmands, that’s wild
I don’t live in a big fragrance area though, so who knows.

>>18563063
These are hilarious, hope the scents are actually good/accurate

To answer OP question - favorite mass appeal designer fragrance is Eros Flame, but idk if it’s been reformulated, my bottle is from 2021 or something.
What are anybody else’s thoughts? I don’t have niche fragrance taste or niche fragrance money, but I want to smell good.
Only problem is that I unironically like stuff like Drakkar and Jovan Musk, or Cool Water in the summer, so I’ve always gotta fight my instincts to smell like an uncle lmao
>>
>>18563500
>What are anybody else’s thoughts?
Versace Eros and Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male DNA are the two safest in the whole fragrance universe if you want to smell good to your average normie woman. Just get the original or one of the flankers, it doesn't really matter. Dior Sauvage dna would be up there but it can be a bit "mature/adult-like" for girls/women under 20. JPG Scandal dna is in the opposite end of Sauvage with respect to age. Normie-proof between ages of 13 - 45 but then becomes a bit too sweet and juvenile to be considered normie-proof on average for women over 45.
>>
>>18563507
>Scandal, Sauvage, Le Male flankers
You forgot the SWY line. And Le Beau arguably
>>
>>18563509
Le Beau is a Le Male flanker and SWY isn't normie-proof for teens. It's definetly mass appeal though. It's the sweet-warm version of Sauvage with respect to mass-appeal and age-range.
>>
>>18563511
>SWY isn't normie-proof for teens
How so? It's an extremely sweet syrupy frag
>sweet-warm version of Sauvage
I don't really get your nomenclature to be honest
>>
>>18563514
>How so? It's an extremely sweet syrupy frag
Yes, but would you agree that it smells more man than say Le Male Elixir. Does that give you an idea what I'm going for by saying that?

>I don't really get your nomenclature to be honest
It has the same mass appeal but it's not a fresh, spicey fragrance.
>>
You guys actually want a looksmaxx blackpill mass appeal fragrance that works for anything from the gym to a wedding? Abercrombie & Fitch Fierce. It's still insanely mass appealing despite having been reformulated throughout. The longevity is great and it's really just the projection that has been nerfed, but I don't mind and neither those your friends because it is now a "being discovered in your personal space bubble scent" and not an "offensive loud coping mouth breather scent". No offense to mouth breathers (you should have that checked and fixed at the doctor's office asap though, - love sincerely yours).
>>
>>18563518
I don't get that at all honestly, I always thought the SWY line especially Intensely was pretty juvenile

For reference, I’m late 20s but immature, if that changes up the vibe recommendations at all.
Sounds like I might just keep rocking the Eros Flame, desu. I love the scent, the only reason I don’t wear it daily is being a little shy about if it’s too loud/young for daily use.
Definitely will check out Sauvage Elixir and the other flankers, I’ve never been a huge fan of the base model. It’s not bad, it’s just a little plain.
Never tried anything from the Le Male line, although the fact that the bottle is a little French sailor is hilarious.
Any specific recs from either line, or just buy some samples and try em out? I assume they’re all crowd pleasers.

I love when people suggest clones. The quality is not there. What makes niche fragrances worth it is the dry down especially the musk. It's my favorite part about wearing fragrances. Yeah, I've bought a few clones and you can just tell something is off. I don't know how any can sing the praise of Asad, for instance. It's just.. not good. It has a FAINT resemblance, but it's just not near the quality.

If you expect Asad to be exactly like Sauvage Elixir of course you're gonna be disappointed. But Asad is good as a spicy barbershop fragrance. It's certainly better than the current version of Drakkar Noir, and that's really all I care about.

Though I think I'd pick One Man Show Emerald over either.

This is the most easily duped fragrance ever. You can buy fragrance that smells EXACTLY the same as the real thing for a fraction of the price. Perfume parlour, oil perfumery, whatever, just get a cheap dupe of this there is absolutely no piont in paying hundreds of pound for something you can get for a few quid.

I have samples from the original 2017 release and pic related which came out in 2022/23? Not the exact same imo but good enough since it was cheaper than the Private Blend version.
I've heard the Signature release is mostly similar, but the bottle is so ugly so I hope they re-release it again when I run out.

Yeah we split it in 2018/19, so original blend. Idk the cheap bottle I have kinda sucks and I find its super super oily so its just messy applying it imo.

Recommendations for a 30 year old white guy, cooked hairline, broke, 6’3, blue eyes?
Here’s what I have/tried:
>Eros Flame - love this, would wear it almost exclusively but idk if it’s that versatile, especially in warm weather.
>Drakkar Noir - performance is bad, smells pretty good in a pine-y way.
>Azzaro Sport EDT - I’m told this is a clone of Fierce, its a solid inoffensive clean fresh smell.
>AdG Profumo knockoff - awful longevity, love scent, nice blend of freshness with some more complexity, creaminess, etc
>Nautica Voyage - had some a while ago, smells like cucumber water, but in a good way, very one-note, but it’s $15.
>Stetson - oddly unisex for something named after a cowboy hat company. Cold weather only, but a nice sorta warm smell.
>Jovan Musk - way less stanky than you’d think for the name. Weird combo of like, orange cream, soap, and sweat. Love it in a weird way. Probably divisive, def smells old.
>Cool Water - solid hot weather vibe, retro compared to my other warm weather aqua/fresh scents.
>Brut - I bought a bottle of this in like 2017 as a joke, and it was so weirdly good. Grassy, creamy, sweet but also vegetative. Every bottle or related product I’ve tried since smelled nothing like it. I’ve heard the EU version is better, but that’s like $20 and that’s silly for Brut.

Didn’t like Dylan Blue, smells way too much like body wash, VpH smells good, but also too boring plain lemony, kinda the voyage problem.

Trying to cut down to at most 3-5
I love the retro stuff like Jovan or Cool Water, but I don’t want to smell like somebody’s uncle. Or at least it’s gotta be a sexy uncle.
Heard good things about the Le Male line, a few of the other AdG flankers, Sauvage, etc. obviously will hit up the store and try samples, but I wanted to know if you all had ideas.
Not gonna spend niche frag level money ever.
The dream is having a legitimate signature scent that I wear exclusively, but I gotta pick that myself

Literally how. I can't smell it afte an hour. I'm going noseblind.

>Having vanilla doesn't make something a gourmand
Gourmand isn't a proper family like the orientals afaik, it's more like a descriptor you tack on, therefore Spicebomb Extreme is both an oriental spicy and a gourmand to a strong degree. Practically the majority of post-2000s popular designer scents with sweet-forward notes are gourmand eg most JPGs, Muglers, SWY line, 1 millions, noir extreme like in OP.

>>18568934
I went for mass appeal non-offensive fragrances that literally works for everything, anytime. A lot of people say that they share a similar dna and I've read people claim a 90% similarity but I strongly disagree with that notion. They're both good and you won't go wrong with either. Both are compliment-getters.
>>
>>18568939
Which would you say lasts for much longer?
>>
>>18568940
Hmm, they perform pretty similar. I struggle to smell them off of myself after 6 hours but others can smell it on me after that, so I suspect noseblindness to base notes. I suspect that they'll last you a whole work day. They perform better on warm skin and your body temperature will rise in the evening which a lot of niche incels and other incels on here don't even think of with respect to how a fragrance is designed and then these subhumans will accuse you of being brown or low iq or something of the sort lmao. Point being that they'll perform even at the end of the day although mid-day performance might suggest otherwise. Also, nichecels belong to the rope - I can't detest them enough. Pretentious subhumans pretending to know what they're doing.
>>
>>18568941
Well i could get the versace 3.4 fl Oz for $50 and tomorrow, cant get the allure homme for another week. No brainer for me i think. Where do you spray with this one? I always spray behind the ear, one on my chest and one in my suit.
>>
>>18568943
I only use 2-4 sprays of any given fragrance because it's honestly more than enough. These only influencers who scam nichecels will tell you to spray 12 times and even more, it's ridiculous. They're surrounded by fragrance, fragrance bottles, residue, semen, they're by default somewhat noseblind to any given fragrance in that environment. You'll be choking people out with more than 5 sprays and get "compliments" masked as clues for you to spray less. They also want you to use up the bottle faster so that they can make more money and it's really a cynical business that only low iq jeb nichecels will fall for. I prefer to spray on collar bone and behind ears. Inside elbows is also great if you're wearing short sleeve attire, it creates this degree/angle when just naturally bending your arms while existing that projects whiffs in a beautiful way to the surroundings.
>>
>>18568946

Stronger with you is ok, but it smells kind of cheap and there's something slightly off-putting about it. Grand Soir is objectively great, but it's too sophisticated/mature for me. Love Beau de Jour. Just finished my 50ml bottle recently and got a 100ml one since I’m sure it’ll keep being my go-to. It’s also the one fragrance that has gotten me the most compliments, PdM Pegasus being second, and Dior Fahrenheit oddly third.

Glad to hear. Stay fancy.

Wear Santal 33 if you want women to accuse you of non-consenting sex and be blackmailed by some gay guys.
>>
>>18571212
Its a Beautiful fragrance, very realistic crushed green apple off the top, not sure I like the price though and there is a dupe called Aether Extrait by French Avenue (more synthetic). But if moneys not an object, it Slaps. So does Sedley btw which doesnt have a good dupe.

Need feedback on this as well. I like it, but it’s definitely retro. Same for Jovan

Santal 33 is so incredible -- but once these two sort-of metrosexual/performative rich boys walked past me smelling of it and I was instinctively so contemptuous of them.
Why am I like this?

>>18578080
I wish Stetson's chypre opening stayed a little longer. This is easily the most budget chypre I know of. -- And it's originally by the house of Coty, inverters of the Chypre. Amazing.
What I like about Stetson is that it is discernably comprised of only 3 smells at most. Chypre, shave soap, and toasted marshmallow. It's addictive.

>rich boys
Obvious you was just well jealous, babe. Or you realised they bought and slapped on a 200 quid fragrance without a fraction of the thinking you put into it

>>18578080
>>18578169
13 years ago I wore Pino Silvestre to HS for a few days until I heard a girl ask out loud "Who smells of old people?" I also wore Azzaro pour Homme for longer and got no reaction. I imagine they'd react something between those two
>>
>Dylan Blue
>Nautica Voyage
>Eros Flame
Does anyone need more + do you even need this much?
>>
>>18579514
You can get rid of Dylan Blue and Eros if you have no social life
>>
I love white women so much, it's unreal. Sotd Bruno Banani Energy.
>>
For me, it's
>LNDL
>Hawas Black or any other strong long lasting Aventus/AA/Hacivat dupe
>Turathi Blue
Special occasions: check
Everyday wear: check
Special occasions in summer or even everyday summer use frag: check
If you want only one frag that checks all of those, it's BdC Parfum
>inb4 arab slop
These are all actual good arab slop dupes, long lasting and great smelling
For the anon that shills bruno banani, hope you're not doin it for free
If you want to dominate f/w, it's LV ON
>>18565727
BA is a fall/winter frag, it's not necessarily "fair"
Only browns wear f/w frags in summer
>>18566298
Fresh and clean, that's what's up
>>
>>18579514
You don't even need those. 1 scent from a good designer suffices.

>>18579967
What’s your preference?
>>
>>18579974
I like Dior/Chanel, mostly from the 90s-00s. Among newer bottles, I'd get Allure Homme Sport (EE or EB) or Dior Homme Sport as a one-and-done.
>>
>>18579998
>>18579974
to add to anon cause i agree with allure homme sport as an everyday (its really nice for that) tom ford noir extreme or tom ford noir extreme parfum are also really good options. the latter is subjectively better

Homme Sport over Sauvage?
I like Sauvage quite a bit, but it’s definitely overplayed
Gotta be honest, I’m not that into this as a hobby, I just wanna smell good.
There’s a part of me that wants to wear some old musky boomer shit, just because it’s funny, but I’d rather come off normal

Does anyone have a recommendation for a scent that won't feel misplaced on someone who isn't masculine at all but also doesn't suit girly scents? I like pretty goth bisexual women if that helps

Dior Homme Original, more serious lipsticky iris balanced with vetiver, quite androgyne

Anise smells good but it makes me gag in perfumes recommend me a good anise/licorice perfume

I've only ever used RL Polo Black (seductive smell used when with woman) and Versace Eau Fraiche (smells "fresh" my everyday smell) and have gotten loads of compliments on both from women. Is there a reason to have anything more?
>>
>>18580947
i am thinking of getting Polo Black, is it really worth it? i love fruity scents but i've read it's been reformulated to death and doesn't perform anymore

So you guys are dunking on the /frag/ thread for recommending old man fragrances but are instead talking about and recommending frags for 14 year olds and "androgynous" frags for emo skinny boys? You can't be fucking serious
>>
>>18581384
this is what happens when retards who don't know what they're talking about make decisions

basically everyone posting here would just be better off getting sauvage and calling it a day
>>
>>18581423
Yeah basically, or just go to sephora and ask the prettiest girl working there what to buy and she won't give you something 14 year olds wear

Mandorlo di Sicilia is the one i know most but I don't wear it personally. It's soft creamy reminds me nostalgically of italian confetti and women love it as a gift, might be good to try out. Gonna sample NIshane Ege myself soon and see if that's any good

dickdock hype doesn't mean the entire line is zoomslop . Ultra Male came out in 2015 and drydown has barbershopesque throwback to the OG. Uncs love Le Male too
