IT'S ALL FUCKING WOOL BLEND
>>
>>18561731
yes retard, because wool is very fragile so it's usually mixed with nylon to give it more strength and durability
>>
>>18561766
sounds like Chinese excuses for a poor quality product.
>>
>>18561802
that's not how it works
>>
>>18561731
Is it the shitty blend stuff that makes """wool""" sweater elbows floppy after an hour of wear?
>>
Finally a good thread on /fa/

ikr? even fucking Lemaire is all wool blend. you can't get a pure wool coat under $1500 now. its impossible

>you can't get a pure wool coat under $1500 now
If that's the case in the US, I feel bad for you.
I can get 100% wool sweaters for under 100€ and long coats for 300.
>>
It makes it so much easier to wash.

>spend your sunday hand-washing all your garments

desu desu

So what's the acceptable blend % for wool garments? Which synthetic fibres are good or bad? Does the acceptable blend % depend on the synthetic fibre used or not?
>>
>>18562119
Usually nylon or acrylic. Nylon absorbs a tiny bit of water but no oil so it doesn't smell unlike polyester which does not absorb any water but does absorb oil which is why it smells so bad
>>
>>18561766
this but you still want a high percentage wool. I had a hard time finding the perfect wool socks but I did- Nine to Five Life has the best blend.
>>
THEY GOT IT ALL SYNTHETIC
>>

the full version of this is even better than the 17min clip that went around.
>starts with 5mins of heavy breathing from the sisyphean task of getting into his truck.
>the road rage and traffic violations begin with him pulling up at starbucks and raging because the drive-thru line was too long.
>songs are synced to the events in the video and his mood to a freakish degree for the entire duration of the dashcam, not just the clip when he drives through the parade.
>he was on his way to 'the rose garden' because they were giving out free beers.
>other person he's on the phone with is just as angry.

wool sweaters should be 100% wool. wool jackets can be blended. cotton sweaters, hoodies etc can be 100% cotton, 80/20 or tri-blend they are all good and all have their place. the important thing if you want them to last a long time is look for a looped, not fleeced interior. wool garments that need more strength like t-shirts and socks can be up to around 60 wool /40 poly.
the question if there is nylon/polyester is WHY is it there? if it serves a purpose like say for a cotton crewneck to make it dry faster bc its an athletic garment. or in a coarse wool jacket some nylon might make it stronger and less rough on the skin. or in a t-shirt to stop it from getting holes the first time you wash it etc.
if its just there to stretch out some cheap wool, steer clear.
>>
>>18563064
wool nylon can be really really good. wool poly is 100% always dog shit. fuck poly but don't do my boy nylon like that
>>
>>18561766
no it isn't, wool is elastic
dumbass retard
>>
>itt plasticlets try to cope about how cheap chinese wool blends are le good actually (the 40% nylon makea it dry 10 minutes faster)
>>
>>18562094
Spier and Mackay has tons of 100% wool coats for less than half that
>>
>>18561731
>gf wants a wool coat
>sees some stuff on tiktok she likes
>take her to the store
>it's all blend shit with weird construction for 200 bucks
ended up visiting three different stores to find 100% wool, cost like $350. fucking insanity
>>
>>18563379
Okay go ahead and wash that wool a few times and see how it holds up since it's so "elastic"
