why is male fashion of the 1970s so uniquely reviled? i swear, its like modern mens fashion goes out of its way to avoid "looking 70s" unless its part of some millennial irony shit
>>1856177870s fashion was really gay and hippie version of 60s fashion. Literally like something you'd come up with in the late 60s if you were high on LSD.https://youtu.be/1u5Gkh2t1ZI
>>18561800Ngl that military jacket looks dope as fuck. Always trying to be ahead of the time. Probably gonna cop it.
It’s to avoid looking like Willie Nelson or those musicians with long hair and mustaches. Those specific “genres” of men made it cringe.Have you seen old men today who still try to look 70s? They’re the fedora dorks of the past playing really gay blues music at dive bars in floral shirts. THAT is what we try to avoid looking like.
>>18561805I’m pretty sure you have literally no idea what it’s meant when people talk about “70s fashion”, you dumb zoomer.

there is something really fuzzy and grungey about the 70s, it post 60s after all, post hippy utopianism. There was an undercurrent of the occult and its also when horror movies got big, instead of love and peace people gave into hedonism and coke to dance to disco.I feel like the 70s were very extreme in gender. Even the homo sexuals were manly men with chest hair and leather. While on the other side you had girls with big hair and like david bowie stardust glam queers
>>18561906The 70s were are a decade of terrorism and global instability and it all converged into the ‘77 punk movement.
>>18561778aside from the visible stitching and the extra stack on the heel this looks perfectly acceptable imo
>>18561778Cope. You could only ever dream of being this appealing to women
