Thoughts on designer coats? I live in a big northern city so people invest a lot into winter fashion.
at this price point, i only consider coats using real down and feathers, maybe goretex, anything else is scam.
>>18570600Every time I see the mooseknuckle logo I just think of testicles, no idea how that brand isn't dead.
>>18570600>>18570602>>18570612Do people wear barbour jackets there?
Canada Goose coats are pretty good imo and they’re conservative enough that I would actually wear one. The same goes for the high end outwear brands like Arc’Teryx or even middle high like The North Face. The rest are nigger rich flex garbage.
>>18570600ngl those types of brands are all a scam. or maybe i don't understand them.they're made to look like box baffle belay/expedition jackets... but they have pathetically small amounts of low quality fill... and they cost the same as a real jacket?i don't get it.if you're going to pay a premium for a designer down jacket just for the looks and don't necessarily care about the performance, get something made of natural materials with a cotton shell. ssence has a whole bunch of choices at a glance.if you want a polyester shell box baffle belay/alpine jacket..... why not just buy a real one?i think these brands are just selling you low quality fill and taking advantage of the fact that high end and low end jackets look the same from the outside if you don't know the nuances of how down fill works.
>>18570736tnf summit series and purple label is higher end than arcteryx.
>>18570754Ok…?
>>18570600>nigger, arab or chink gee I cant decide who I want to look like
>>18570641>>18570600Sirs quick question what to wearing for white canada pussy??? Barber goose??
>>18570754>high end plastic
>>18571518youre paying for the goose feathers
>>18571518you can get down jackets with cotton shells. which is what i'm suggesting. you don't need a polyester shell unless you're about to summit a 6000'+ mountain.
>>18570600N
>>18571562-ice jackets, n-
>>18571523>>18571527Just buy fur or sherling
>>18570600The past few winters in southern Ontario has been so mild I’ve only worn my old Goose once or twice last year desu. You will bake in it if it’s anywhere above -15C.
>>18571584i live in communist central where some peta faggot will probably pour blood on me. and i actually mountain climb so i use my jackets for their intended purpose.
>>18570600Plastic slop is not fashionable.
>broke redditors that have never felt highend syntheticsshigCG and MK are both garbage (have no personal experience with moncler)if you want just want to be warm in a city just get something with some high quality down, you can find much cheaper than that (your face when canada goose charges 1k usd for 600 fp down)
>>18571789>it's premium plastic
>>18571790you're right bulletproof vests are the same thing as ziploc bags thank you for enlightening me
>>18571790if you want an example of a brand with premium synthetics i was impressed with the handfeel of aether apparel's face fabrics
im an honest broke anon. i bought this superdry puffer last year for 80 euros. i really like it.
>>18570600just go north face. you save a ton of money and it’s still “in style”
>>18570612I always thought moose knuckle was the same as cameltoe.
>>18570612I've never seen anyone wearing Moose Knuckle, so same.>>18571956Camel Toe, Moose Knuckle, Bear Claw. They're all kind of stupid. You can't take them seriously, at any rate.
>>18570600> posts pictures of nog brandsI'm actually white, so I'm going to wear a real white man's winter coat from Iceland, made by white people for white people, and save some dollars while I'm at it.(You) won't know about the Icewear brand because it's only for real European white people
>>18571790I would argue high quality and low quality synthetic fabrics have a much wider quality gulf between them than high and low quality natural fabrics. There’s a reason most of the clothes used in extreme sports are synthetic.
>>18572038im walking down a sidewalk though. how does that justify the quality of the synthetic fabric?
>>18570600imagine you pull up in a onesie like >>18571523
>>18571978>hey anon is that a default winter jacket with a no-name brand you overpaid for?>n-no this is for a white mans... from iceland or something... i paid 300 euros for it okay! >damn 300 euros to look so generic? you could've bought a north face, or at least a moncleur! well you do you anon
Literally only indians and nonwhites wear Canada Goose now. They destroyed the brand.
You guys are too poor if you are calling a winter coat from MK CG or Moncler an investment.
>>18570600try Quartz Co
>>18571978>poorfag jeet larping as white can't even afford anything decent so his budget is 300
>>18572113Nobody cares which plastic puffy jacket you have. I have never seen a movie character who wasn't literally on an expedition wearing one because they are inherently uncool and costume designers would never put their characters in one. It's always a wool coat and layers or fur/leather.
>>18572113>>18572158>Jeets take a break from street shitting to pretend they wear Canada Goose when it's a nigger brand anyway
>>18572162Theyre literally just status symbols for brainless and tasteless third world implants to flex on each other and impress their cousins back home in Gujarat
>>18570600that's like a brown people thing? white people don't wear shit like that to show off. maybe moncler or CG when in the mountains. but that's about it.
>>18572162Nothing outs a nog faster than defending plastic puffy jackets or trying to shit on people for not wearing one, or wearing the "wrong" one.If you're brown it's stuffed with down.If you're cool, it's lined with wool. Pic related.
>>18572225Most of the time it's just a wool topcoat. I've noticed that browns do this thing where they buy a puffy coat rated -30F colder than it is and then wear that with just a tee shirt. Baffling behavior.
>>18572162yeah sorry forgot yall are 35+. at this stage of your life you shouldn't even bother lol ur too old unc
>>18572234Poorfag cope
>>18572230>walk outdoors protected from cold altogether>take off your jacket indoors and walk comfortably in one layer of clothes instead of 5why do you seethe at this
>>18572243Personally because I would like it to be 55F inside in wintertime instead of being heated to 80F to make old women comfortable. I love being cold.
>>18572246what's your personal preference got to do with this
>>18572248That we have to deal with heaters cranked to max everywhere we go now to placate boomers when 50 years ago it would have been beautifully cold and 55-65 in every indoor space in winter. The worst offender is the gym with boomers cranking it to 80 in winter and heating the fucking lap pools to 80 as well when ideal swimming temperature is 65F.
>>18572249okay
>>18572249>55 indoorsgo live in a tent
>>18572251Go sit by the fire if you want to be hot. It's not my fault your mitochondria are broken. Go swim laps in a cold pool and condition them.
>>18572255>>1857224913C is not a healthy temperature for a human being to be in18C is not warm enough water temperature for a human to swim in
none of you need a down jacket. that shit isn't necessary unless you're gonna be outside all day at like like -20C
>>18572255Checked, but for the puffy jacket people to go swimming, the water has to have a minimum fecal matter rating of about 95%.
>>18572258How physically and mentally weak are you exactly? It's not even mandatory pants weather until it's under -6C. Are you even white?
>>18572266youre probably hairy as an ape
>>18572268I'm blonde and have pretty much no body hair other than my pits and pubes. Go for a run in the morning when its 0C out. You will get hot balls and wish you had work shorts.

Arcteryx Veilance is pretty cool imoIf I had to buy a designer down jacket I'd get Stone Island, I'm not from the UK so it doesn't have a bad image here
>>18572945You have unhealthy mitochondria and poor cardiovascular health. Possible vitimin deficiencies as well.
