Is Drake's actually worth it? I really want to get a Drake's blazer, and I had them on in person when they had a pop-up in Berlin, but they didn't have any twill in my size, only the cord which I found underwhelming quality wise for 1,1k.

The cotton twill felt really good on the pants and the construction of the blazer was pretty good. But is there no alternative which works with the same style of cut, maybe for less?
I understand expensive tailoring, but expensive games? A games trouser over 300, a games blazer over 700-800?
>>
Drake's dead. Just buy Kendrick's.

Drake is anglo mall crap. It's what most of you wear. So yes, go for it.
>>
>>18575371
Yeah so what's the alternative. Who makes a solid every day, unstructured blazer?
>>
Only people who talk highly of this brand are redditors or autists so if you fit into either category, you’ve met the prerequisites
>>
>>18575388
Am I supposed to wear fucking Spier McKay like a fucking faggot then?
I choose between being a faggot redditor, a double faggot /fa/ nigger, or an autist with more money than brains?
>>
Is it worth it? No. Drake's price are fucking insane, especially if you get hit with import taxes.
That being said, the proportions are always right (the sleeves especially, they always have the perfect volume) and the style is pretty unique.
If you have the money and don't want to bother looking for alternatives, then go for it.
Same for Rubato. You can spend 300 euros on a basic sweater or get almost the same one from William Lockie for 150 euros (except it will be longer and closer to the body).

Non shit-tier brands. But you probably can't even get to know them. Where do you live?
>>
>>18575406
I live in Europe.
That's what makes this so hard. Good brands are either on the outer side of the Atlantic and I get me ass raped by customs or so niche that you couldn't possibly learn about them outside of word of mouth.

There's a few trailoring brands like Poszetka, Natalino that I have bookmarked, but even those are expensive, "fashion brands" like margaret howell or engineered garments might make something like that every now and then but not consistently.

You might also get lucky with Barbour or Cordings, other more normal British retail brands but you'll likely still have shitty taxes due to the EU, obviously still better than paying over a grand though.

yea thank you I unfortunately know all of those brands. I think MHL is more expensive than Drakes and has somehow quality from the pieces I own. They also gave up on duty paid so it's ass rape expensive now for EU.
Pszetka is not casual, doesn't have anything comparable to the games. I actually looked at Spier Mckay yesterday just to confirm my thoughts and they also do not have anything remotely serviceable for casual wear. Natalino is Italian tailoring. Engineered garments I think I know but again not the style.
Barbour and Cordings... I dunno if I want to wear a Barbour branded blazer? I'm even sure they make stuff like that. Barbour is wax jackets and everything else is for giga jerkoffs.
Don't mean to no-maxx here but Drakes is bullshit pricing yet there's nothing like it out there.
You probably undercut Drakes and make some good money if you sold something comparable without all the fuzz they have with marketing and the italian sewing etc. if you had a good factory in Turkey or China, used fabrics from hq yarns and vintage/replica machines, and reduced all the unnecessary costs which don't contribute to the product your customers get while maybe taking off 20-30% or so from the profits drakes rakes in.
however drakes does sell out and the demand exists. it wouldn't be a good business then if you just sold good clothes at a good price.
>>
>>18575359
Drake’s commands a premium for their cuts and styling. No, there is nothing comparable for cheaper. Cough up or kick rocks.
>>
>>18575410
You're a retard. All the good brands are in Europe. Don't even make me write down a list, you know all of them. Youcuck.
>>
I always thought of drakes as one of those cosplay brands like vineyard vines that sells the "old money" look to people who don't come from money but say "nouveau riche" as an insult
>>
>>18575359
Ew, that thing is ugly as shit. Patch pockets should not have flaps. It looks like a Temu blazer.
>>18576404
It's hilarious that stuff that looks like cosplay a poor person would wear to look rich costs $1000. Just get a decent suit instead.

Or a sport coat from a cheaper fashion house like Calvin Klein or Guy Laroche. They'll be a couple hundred bucks max.
>>
>>18576425
I didn't mean that I necessarily have a problem with op's blazer, it's obviously a casual blazer and there are no real rules there. Most of the stuff they make is fine. Just as a brand, they're kind of larpy. You know how there are some brands where if you wear only that brand, you'll be fine, and with others, you look silly? Drakes is the latter

But yeah $1k for that is eh... just for a casual blue blazer you can do so much better unless you REALLY have to have that specific garment. I can understand having an irrational wish to have garments from certain brands but this isn't one of them
>>
>>18576452
I think it's legitimately ugly, unless you're an archeologist or something.

Uniqlo makes casual blazers that don't look anywhere near this ugly. Plenty of brands do, you just have to search knit or unstructured blazers.
>>
brits and burgers and perhaps germ*ids are completely mind-broken by the obsession of money (be they poor or rich, it’s the same) and by class warfare

most of the shit you dumbfucks talk about (cosplay, larp, money, old money, etc) doesn’t even exist elsewhere
>>
>>18576782
Flap pockets are from hunting jackets, it doesn't seem like you know much about the design language of men's apparel. Indiana Jones didn't invent the look. I'm the guy who originally called it cosplay for the record, I'm not a drake fanboi, but my reasons for not being a drake fanboi seem to differ from yours

>>18576787
It's also a thing in most former colonies of europe since the local class hierarchy is usually a holdover from a sort of reinvented version of feudalism, brought over by drunk syphilitic rapists who spawned a massive local population of mixed race people who proceeded to spend the next 400 years fighting over who is whiter
