My local menswear store, Filson only because their sizing and quality is all over the place but I still buy their stuff, and I usually stop in some of the traditional shops like J. Crew, Brooks Bros., Ralph Lauren just to see if there’s anything good on sale or new. Other than that, I see no reason to shop in-person. Most stores suck badly and cater to suburban NPCs with bad taste. The stores I hate going to the most are Uniqlo and Nordstrom.

same city and same. i do hit up the goodwill bins and thrift stores if that counts as shopping in person lol.

I stopped thrifting after coming up empty handed for like a year and realize all the good stuff is bought up immediately by online sellers and boutiques.

its still worth hitting them up when you're driving through rural areas. not worth going out of your way, but if you're driving through anyways.

Same city meaning Seattle? We have Filson in Vancouver, BC too.

My Dad is a boomer who runs a construction company and is mainly in the office (with occasional site visit), so his entire vibe is elevated workwear. He also larps as a farmer on weekends with his 7 acres + horses, and is obsessed with the show Yellowstone. Getting him a Filson gift card for Christmas and then going to the store with him has become a yearly tradition. He fucking loves that place.

i know so many guys like this. i always lol when i see posts seething about and calling elevated workwear stuff larp -- sure a lot of redditors wear it but the target audience is guys like your dad who started in the trades did well and find themselves in the office.
