Is /fa/ the place to ask about cigars? Any cigar recs?
If you’re new to cigars you have to just try stuff and see what you like. The only ones I wouldn’t recommend are Cohiba and Montecristo because they’re overpriced. Personally, I like Oliva’s Serie V, Serie O, and Connecticut Reserve the most. Some of the Drew Estate cigars are also quite good in my opinion. H. Uppmann are pretty good value. Honestly though, they’re all kind of the same. A medium body is a medium body. Flavor notes are flavor notes. Just figure out what body and flavor you like by trying things out and then get what’s available in your price range.
i get principes because they are like $4 a stick and I smoke one nearly everyday. I ddin't mind the non labeled davidoffs, I think they are $8 a stick iirc, called Dave's. Louis something or others are good cheapies too, like $4 as well. R&J's I like I smoke those on special occasions.
/ck/ sometimes has cigar threads
>>>/out/ has a pipe smoking general but cigars get discussed on it too
I read a post on some board a long time ago saying that cigars are not nearly as bad as cigarettes in terms of cancer risk, so long as you dont actually inhale the smoke and just hold it in your mouth. I didn’t investigate any further at the time but since then I’ve started to develop a mild smoking habit since it helps me with work. I’m wondering if there was any truth to that cigar statement. If so I should probably switch over and stop smoking cigarettes.
>>18578292Most people do end up inhaling a lot of the smoke, and it also give you mouth cancer because the smoke is much heavier
>>18578292It’s true the risk is lower but the statement as is demonstrates a misunderstanding. Puffing the smoke from burning leaves soaked in chemicals can give you cancer. The more you do it, the more like you’ll get cancer. Cigarettes are a bit more likely simply because not only are you puffing but also inhaling burning leaves soaked in chemicals and a bunch of other shit including the chemicals themselves. So yeah, they’re better in terms of aggregate probabilities across populations but either could give you cancer.
big fan of these. they come in a couple sizes, even the smalls are nice
>>18578304>>18578381Are Zyn's really the only way to get nicotine safely for focus? To be honest I've been avoiding them just because they seemed like a fad.
>>18578429dont fall for the nicotine to focus memepouches probably are a new high water mark in 'least harm' for nicotine but it's still a net negative.
>>18578427I guess they're okay if you like smokes with zero flavor.

>>18578429you tried cigs?
