>>18577616i love those crockett and jones but the dark brown vibram sole was apparently a limited run, what do we think of carmina?
>Saphir invulner spraywaterproofs>Saphir renovateur spraycleans, nourishes, waterproofswhich one do i get for new suede boots
>>18578240I think Carmina is great, although I only have a pair of derbies from them instead of a boot like in your pic. I’m sure they would be a solid choice.
First for engineer boots
>>18578240seeing as there is no "we"I say they are great>>18578252the invulner
>>18578271I've yet to see a single person making engineers look good in 2025.

Started wearing my Beckmans to work, the married asian chick keeps coming over to my desk and when I point at my monitor to explain something, she points in the same spot so that our hands touch. Why do married women get so close to men?

What boots for winter?
Bros, today was the first day of the season that I was able to wear by boots. I wore Alden Indys out and it felt incredible to wear them again because of how comfy they are and how good I feel wearing my bootsI suffer in Texas where it doesn't start to get chilly at all until late Oct/early NovBefore that it is simply too hot to wear boots
>>18578508retard holy shit
>>18578271These were Frye engineers, back when Frye was an actually good American boot brand. Now they just make junk overseas with foam and synthetics
>>18578609Bro, same. I love boots and jackets, and finally get to wear some.
>>18578603I don't know where you live.
>>18578613You say that until you live in a climate where you wear boots and jackets for 8 months straight.
>>18578603>Hey guise, what boots should I get for winter but I won't tell you where I live or what kind of winter we get there, I won't tell you what i'll be needing the boots for, i won't tell you my budget or how much i'm willing to spend, i won't tell you anything, i'll just ask "What boots for winter?"
>>18578617i lived in upstate new york when i was in grad school and i absolutely loved the weather. i miss the cold so much. only a couple months of actual hot and the rest is comfy jacket and boot weatheronly thing i hated was the people and ticks, my dog got lyme disease from one
>>18578617All I want is for the seasons to change regularly, anon, not one or the other.
>>18578621yeah i miss living in a place with 4 seasons. where i am now it's just 2: blazing hot summer or cold winter with a week or two of comfy weather in between
>>18578623Same here. To make it worse this year summaer has been very hot and very long. Up until last week I was walking outside in a tee shirt. Only now I could reasonably wear boots and a fucking denim jacket.
Round waxed laces are so much better than chunky flat ones.
>>18578649always have been
>>18578648Where do you live? Sounds like hereIt was still in the mid 90s earlier in october
>>18578612I've seen a couple of Fryes pop up on ebay from time to time and the difference is night and day
>£580 Tricker's AllanIs it really worth it? Are there any alternatives to this style?
Where can I get some thick socks for winter? Cotton or wool, don’t really matter to me.
>>18578693Never cotton for winter, wool nylon blend is ideal.
>>18578698I don't want plastic extracted from muslim holes to touch my precious white feet.
>>18578715Then enjoy buying a new pair of socks every week dumbass
>>18578693>>18578715My local army surplus stores sell chunky full wool socks that go all the way up the calf for 5 eurodollars. If you don't care about looks it's a ridiculous bargain.
>>18578721Lmfao retard!!! 100% cotton socks are the most durable ones. LMFAO!
>>18578744Yeah no
Looking to get a pair of ‘heritage’ style hiking boots ala Danner mountain light. They’re too expensive however, any recommendations sub 300€ that can be sourced easily in Germany or England? Ty
>>18578747Yes, actually. If you want to be le edgy contrarian then come to my house, inspect my socks and explain to everyone why all my blend socks have holes and stretched weave while my all-cotton ones are still like new years later.>inb4 oh it's because you bought good ones, mine are from walmart *braaap*
Thoughts? Which colour?
>>18578809
>>18578749You're kind of shit out of luck if you're looking under 300 eurodollars, simply because the material cost (single piece leather upper, goodyear welt, vibram sole) is too high. Fracap is the closest to the 300 mark at 350, and is much better than Danner in terms of quality. Other brands that make similar looking boots are Meindl, Limmer and Hanwag. If you care about hiking and don't just want the look I'd recommend saving up and getting the real deal, or at the very least getting a pre owned pair. Otherwise crush on retro (chinese wokawhere brand) makes a danner replica with some pretty good specifications for just 135, which is insane value, but taking the risk is up to you.https://crushonretro.com/products/mens-hiking-boots-goodyear-welted?variant=41417211740214
>>18578809if you don't know, the answer is always the darker color
>>18578844Yea I think you’re probably right. Cheers.
