Finally, I’m going out after years and buying some clothes, but I have no idea how to dress properly these days. That’s where /fa/ comes in — I need your help, guys. I’m tired of dressing like a hobo

ok. you'll have to buy:
>ocbd. 2 or 3, the colours leaning towards white
>knit sweaters. 2 different colours, I'd choose brown and offwhite, but this one is really up to you
>jackets. pick 2: a leather jacket and a bomber is really ok
>for pants, buy a nice jeans, a polo chino, a fatigue and 2 pleated pants (grey/navy and black)
>for sneakers, I'd personally pick a white one like Nike Cortez
>black derbies. they'll go with anything

most of the pants I like straight cut, jackets and ocbd's you really should go a bit slim fit. since most of time you'll be in cold, sweaters will really come in handy. tweed overcoats can look great too

I also think movie costumes are cool, but I always worry about looking like I’m larping, especially in a world where people wear any crap
>>
if something doesn't feel comfortable, or something simply feels off, don't wear it, trust your gut

Try on a lot of stuff, don’t be shy. When I was first getting going, I would go into like Macy’s or whatever store and grab hella items off the rack to try on. Sometimes I’d buy none of them. I never got bothered for trying too much on. That really helped me get a sense of what’s gonna fit my body and face and look good.

Also, don’t be afraid to experiment. That’s how you’ll find your personal style. Take inspiration from here and elsewhere, and experiment. Don’t care what some bitch-made ass, bum ass motherfucker has to say about it. Slob males will try to pull you down sometimes or discourage you from wearing what you want. They can eat a dick, they’ll never have the confidence or the sense of style to look good in clothes so who cares about them.

We all still have to experiment, but you’ll naturally find your favorite pieces to wear and start evolving your wardrobe to be distinctly yours.

this is great for fashion, build your wardrobe around coats, non autistic looking ones thats it. During winter the coat has to be your main fashion stable looks elegant and masculine
