- They definitely target schizotypial, schizoid and narcissistic anons. Personally I'm a schizoid hikikomori. Most leaders tend to be narcissists (also known as the warrior gene) and schizotypial/schizoid thinkers have autistic thinking without the cognitive impairment and for all of human history have tended to be either dysfunctional retards or paradigm shifting thinkers and transcendent virtuoso artists and the likes. My point is, those "chuds" were the most dangerous ones to the agenda behind the janny's.
- Anons the jannies did not like were deemed "schizos" to discredit them in the eyes of anons but I think a lot of people miss the big picture: Jannies were afraid and focusing their efforts heavily on severing the more creative outside-the-box thinking anons from the normiecattle. Normalizing the idea that any unusual idea or concept you haven't heard of before at face value is "schizo" before you've looked into it was a psyop in and of itself.
- Ultimately they don't want you go into the real world and do something meaningful/influential. I forgot the quote and where it's from, but ever heard that one about how in the devil's perfect world man wouldn't be tortured or anything like that, rather he'd be staring at a wall watching paint dry for eternity?

Chat, is brooks bros still a shit? I don't expect a real answer but for frame of reference, I started off with BB in the late 90s, then they started to suck, went through suit supply (meh) and propercloth (defaults to skinny fit and I basically have to DIY my own measurements if i want anything that isn't a pee wee herman suit). I've gone through multiple re-fittings and my current fit is better than it was but I'm still not thrilled especially considering everything takes a month or longer

I have a long torso and short legs so proportions have always been annoying for me, that's what sent me to propercloth in the first place, but I'm convinced that unless I pony up 10 grand for a real bespoke suit from a high end maker I might as well just go back to RTW, am I wrong here?

tl;dr should I just go back to the old brand that isn't even the same company anymore?

The Armoury, Sid Mashburn, O'Connell's, Jack Donnelly, J. Press
>>
>>18582926
J Press is the only one of those I'd seriously consider, and even in their case they're quite a small operation and I'd probably have to get MTM and I'm just tired of MTM. O'Connell's looks cool but I'm not going to fucking buffalo just to buy a suit. Jack Donnelly makes nice khakis but they never have anything in stock, last time I ordered something there it took almost 3 months to get it, and they don't make suits

I'll probably just get another suit supply t b h. Or even J Press. If it's good enough for memedani it's good enough for me

The cut on O'Connell's shirts is impeccable. Unfortunately their sport shirts have 1950s sleeve lengths so the size small is only for manlets.
Anyways their Oxfords are fantastic, not baggy or oversized at all but also not skinny or slim. No skimping on fabric but they also don't have any of that tunic shirt vibe

>>18583427
Isn't that highly relative though? All you're saying is it fits you well, your body (except sleeve length)

the guy you replied to is a zoomer jeet twink who shits up this board constantly because he has nothing going on with his life. half of /fa/'s posts per day are made by him.the earliest i can find of him, he used to plague the watch thread for years rambling about "schizos" all the time and obsessing over some anon in florida that he didn't like.then he discovered doug and started spamming doug threads constantly.jeet anon is known to sit in threads like skincare general and balding general shilling tranny hormones and misdiagnose people. he's also known to samefag and encourage suicide in the thinspo thread. and stuff like that.he thinks he's on some tard quest to "make the next lolcow" and he's clearly been groomed by one of those 764 style COM cults.and then one day he started fixating on me because i called out a bunch of posts in the balding thread that were giving bad medical advice and misdiagnosing people.doug stopped posting around that same time, so he's been obsessing over me and dedicating like 6-8 hours per day to ruining the denim thread ever since because he has nothing in his life.at some point he started spamming my pics and saying he would "kill me in one punch" and started commenting on how i look "weak" and "like a ftm" and calling me a manlet all the time.i let him do his gay cringe little internet tough guy routine for a year or so before i mentioned that i box and i would murder him lol. go find his pic on the archive if you're curious i would literally break this kid in half haha.i just laugh at him because i know he's brown, incel and has a sad life.

The Casatlantic discussion is so funny. Just last week I tried on a few pairs in different fits and I've concluded that they are my least favorite pants of all time. They're way too high of a rise to be worn without a jacket, but they are cotton. It's very rare for me to pair a sport coat or a blazer with cotton trousers. When worn without a jacket, you look like a full-blown nerd like Steve Urkel. Don't get it twisted, I love pleated pants and I like a moderate rise. I usually wear a rise between 10-12 inches. Once you get in the >13 inch rise it looks like shit.

men worth actually looking up to and respecting to be focused on themselves. normal people don't even know what a "manlet" is. it's really only the söyjack looking redditors, sukeban women, r9k incels and fatherless brownskins who use that vernacular. if i'm wrong post a timestamped face pic.

does anyone ever ask themselves: why would i ever take the biggest losers who ever lived seriously?
i can't imagine.
z0mg some kissless loser called me a name on 4chins im sad ;_;

i was one of the first english speakers who started talking about denim on the internet and i started the denim general on here.
i bought these jeans all the way back in high school, pretty drippy for a kid in 2005. i have better fits but its a little nostalgic because i've been fading them off-and-on for so long.
a lot of the posts that look like me spamming are actually the other guy just copy and pasting my posts from the archives to try to confuse people and make it look like i'm spamming.

i drive a low miles excellent condition 1988 325is in a rare highly desired paint color. the m3 sucks ass on the street its a high strung 4 banger made for the track. my car's worth like 20-30k https://bringatrailer.com/search/?s=1988+325is
its a car that makes pretty much everyone's top 10 list of best cars ever made. they're extremely reliable, fun to drive, beautiful and tasteful. the e30 is the most accomplished platform in motorsports history.
poojeets like you do not understand class or taste because this is your first generation outside of abject poverty. and you don't know anything about cars whatsoever so you are easily impressed with stuff like an ipad in the dashboard.
you literally out yourself as third world or a woman-like male who can't turn a wrench if you're not at least aware that its a highly sought-after collector car and i have a clean ass example.

>I usually wear a rise between 10-12 inches. Once you get in the >13 inch rise it looks like shit.
10 inches (25 cm if I am correct) is almost a low rise. You can start talking about a proper high rise from 12 inches minimum (30 cm) onwards. So that makes 11 inches a mid rise. 13 is definitely okay as a high rise and it doesn’t look like shit. It will at 14 though. The reason Casatlantic pants are godawful is their absurd cut, more than the rise. High-rise trousers and jeans in general are the gold standard of men’s fashion.
>>
>>18584494
I'm after a suit, not a shirt. I am actually fine with the shirts I'm getting from proper cloth, which is, I assume, what you're referring to with these "brands specializing in MTM"

the problem with MTM on a suit is that you either have to trust the house recommendations (I've got 3 jackets from them thus far, and 4 pairs of trousers, and after torturing them into something other than skinny fit, the best I can say is they're okay-ish) or randomly change parameters hoping not to introduce an unintended outcome like puckering or divots in a random spot because I'm not a professional tailor

I just don't think MTM for suits (as opposed to bespoke) makes that much sense unless all you care about is having the ability to add peacocky gimmicks like ticket pockets and custom liner colors, that's fun once or twice and then you find it cringe. the length and button stance were what drew me in, but there's so much more to a good fit than that, and I now realize I'm not SUCH an anatomical freak that this is worth the trouble. I'm not dead set against the idea, like I said my jacket and trouser fits are okay-ish, but just okay-ish, it needs optimizing, but I'm burned out on this. the last straw for me is the fucking obnoxious pick stitching that ISN'T optional, some materials are better at concealing that, so it's not a dealbreaker on highly textured casual jackets, but it's hard to hide on a generic business suit

>>18584517
yeah I was never really that impressed with BB shirts which is sad because that's supposedly their claim to fame, best case scenario is they're meh. I was a kamakura stan, until they closed their NYC shops, that was a betrayal and now they're dead to me now. free shipping if you spend $400! lol no

anyway I'm pretty sure I'm just gonna get j crew like memedani. I'm not after a suit to stand out as some kind of style icon, I just want something that's appropriate, not inappropriate, and doesn't draw attention to itself
>>
