I don’t think it ever truly will. Clean shaven for people in their late teens and earlier twenties just seems like the default so now that it is socially acceptable to grow a beard or stache young men will just keep experimenting with their facial hair I reckon, hence why after the 2010s beard phase we’re in the 2020s mustache and mustache and goatee phase. Maybe in some circles clean shaven will be in but I don’t think it will ever be super fashionable and be the norm again.

clean shaven looks good if you have a lean face and a nice jawline. It can also help make you look more youthful

When I retired from the Army I grew a beard out because it was against regs to have one. It drove me crazy within a week with how scratchy and annoying it was. And no I'm not buying special oils or putting conditioner in it.
It also made me look like a dirty hobo hippie druggy and hid my jaw line.
If it works for you it works for you but to me growing a beard shows you're a bit of an NPC crowd follower.
