>Lume Dude
Here you go.
>>
What's the point of cheap watches? If you want functionality a smartwatch beats everything, and if you care about horology or want to flash wealth nothing less than five digits is worth it.
>>
>>18594094
Cheap watches can also look nice.
>>
>>18594094
I hate batteries, but I'm poor.
>>
>>18594094
Flexing your wealth with a watch is a boomer thing, no one cares about watches anymore.
"High horology" has peaked 40 years ago.
Which is great, cause now you can wear whatever the fuck you want and like the look of, and there are plenty of great designs below $500.
>>
>>18594094
There are a lot of very high quality cheap watches nowadays thanks to China stepping up.
I like watches, I like different designs, sizes, movements. It's a hobby, it's not meant to impress anyone but yourself (and maybe other retards that are into the same hobby). It's really not that hard to understand bro.
>>
>>18594094
>a smartwatch beats everything
I want to be able to check the time without seeing my boss's Teams message.
>>
>>18594099
kind of a neat dial texture but those screws look awful
>>
This is my thread!

>If you want functionality a smartwatch beats everything
Sure of course, if you are retarded goycattle that wants every aspect of your life down to your heart rate and step count to be accurately measured and stored by every glowie and corpo out there (and don't forget to charge your wrist gizmo every few days!)

Thoughts on this kommandirskie model?
>>
>>18594083
>>18594061
I guess it's just that particular watch. It seems to last a long time, but again, the times I was using it at night, which was a lot, I was far away from any artificial light. That being said, if you have moonlight, you can almost read any watch. Or I just have exceptional light sensitivity, but I doubt it.

This is the closest thing to a luminox that I like.

Sorry I guess these wemt a lityle pas shitter pricing. None are unobtainium though.. they all have tritium tubes.

Youknow what they say. Tritium rhymes with clitium.

I bought my gf the white version of this watch as a gift a few months back and I've wanted one of my own for a while now. I like small watches that I can slip under the sleeves of my sweaters and I think I'm going to get it.
>>
>>18594094
I am saving up for a five digit watch, but in the meantime I like wearing shitters so I don't need to worry about anything happening to them and they have a lot of character of their own, like most things you own for a while.

Friendly reminder that vostoks are terrible shitters and should never be used as a watch, as in a time instrument. You can buy it as fifth or so watch, wear once a month while you walk your dog or scrub a toilet.
>>
>>18594978
They're objectively bad watches, but mine are accurate enough I have to set them less than twice a month to stay within +/-1min and I like their quirks.
>>
>>18594107
Imagine the embarrassment when someone thinks your watch is cool and asks about it and you have to tell them it has no particular history or value, it's just some cheap chinkshit from aliexpress.

why can't we wear a watch on each wrist?

You can do it, if you work hard and truly believe in yourself.

Nobody wants to stand there while you sperg out for half an hour about the history of the Explorer.
>>
>>18595026
Do you think anyone other than watch autists (who will probably already know what you're wearing) want a history lesson when they say you have a cool watch?

Moisture detector. The white half of the circle turns pink if exposed to water. The 50 Fathoms was one of the earliest dive watches, and military divers didn't fully trust the seals.

There's a lot of clone casios on ali express.. at that ppont why not just buy the actual casio? Id prefer for it to at least have casio branding.

about a million invictas
>>
>>18595403
Cause they're "Swiss made".
>>
>>18595379
Bocтoк is just the kyrillic writing for Vostok.
But they're sold as "Vostok" if you're on an English language website.
It should say Bocтoк on the dial though. If it says Vostok on the dial it's either a fake or from Vostok Europe (different company, made in Lithuania, more expensive).
>>
>>18595410

I should be all good. I ordered the Vostok Amphibia 420334. It does not say Vostok anywhere on the dial. I think its an interesting watch company.. my watch has an acrylic crystal. Ita so old school. Haha. Its gonn be a fun one.

Absolutely mental that the Russians somehow managed to fuck up something that was perfected more than half a century ago
