>>18594557No, it started specifically as a trend. Before that women always made sure to hide their bra strap because it would have looked sloppy and whoreish. If they wore a sleeveless or shoulderless top, they'd usuallywear a strapless bra or not wear the straps over their shoulders and instead stuff them in their top. But in the mid 2000s it became trendy for women to show off their bra straps with a tank top, along with flashing their panties/thongs over their low rise jeans. And after years of it being a trend it became so common that people stopped noticing or caring about it. Kind of like how women wearing pants instead of only long skirts before the 1940s has become so common that we don't even think it's weird anymore.
