What do you do with clothes you don't want anymore? >keep them>throw them away>donate them>list them on FB marketplace/elsewhere
it depends but normally speaking I only stop wanting clothes once I've worn them to the bone (in which case you should throw the mout) or once they no longer fit well due to other constraints (weight loss, in which case you should donate). Selling is usually not worth the hassle, but if you can and have the energy, it's obviously the best alternative. There's no point to keeping them if you permanently don't want them. The space can be filled with the stuff you love.
>>18607371Is it an OCD/autism thing to want to get clothes i don't want to wear out of my sight even if i technically have space for them in my closet? ugly clothes just demoralize me lmao, i want a nice clean closet of clothes i like even if its technically better to keep the ugly clothes for random occasions

>>18607393no its not ocd to want to declutter (at least, not necessarily). you don't need to fill your space to the brim with stuff. the human brain thrives in organised uncluttered spaces.if the clothes are ugly then there will not be any random occasions you'd want to wear them. 20% of your clothing is worn 80% of the time. Ugly clothes are bullies. You need to deal with them with extreme prejudice - get them gone.If there's clothes that aren't your style right now, but that aren't necessarily ugly, you can always put them in a time-will-tell bin. Take a box, put them in, mark the date, shove away. If after 6 months you still havent felt the need to take anything out then these clothes can safely be gotten rid of.
I put them in bags tell myself I’ll take them to Salvation Army or Goodwill and then they sit in the corner a room in my house for a year until there’s something particular in the bag I want to dig out and wear again
>>18607768>then they sit in the corner a room in my house for a year I was like you once and then I found a charity that will come to your house for your clothes
>>18607301I donate them to a local veterans charity thrift store.
>>18607301i only buy clothes that last a long time, when they fall apart the material becomes scraps for repairing other clothes. i've been into fashion long enough that i know what i like so buying things then losing interest in them before they're worn to rags doesn't happen to my anymore.
