The hate is unwarranted. Their designs are good and the material and construction are top notch, especially the stuff that's made in Canada. Yes, it's expensive as all nice things tend to be.

It's never even really been expensive unless you're buying from resellers, pretty much mall-tier prices for better quality.
>>
genuinely not bad stuff, owned by vf corp now so just lost all the cultural cache it masterfully crafted over the years
understandably hated for this

best thing about is it that prices for their old pieces have basically dropped to the retail prices they were selling at in the 2010s, ive been having fun picking up super nice pieces for under $100, even $20 for their t-shirts which are also a really nice quality

that was me with bape thru the 2010s so i dont blame you
im gonna sound like an elitist but i gave up on supreme well over a decade ago despite living in nyc now
>>

the mainline stuff was trash but some of the collab stuff was actually really high qual.
same with stussy their main line was trash back then but they low key dropped a lot of really good collabs that were just in the wrong place at the wrong time with no hype behind them back then.

>hurr durr im paying 200 bucks for a brick, look how cool and edgy we are

supreme's basically the reason why the bar is set where it is today with streetwear. before supreme you would be getting mass produced blanks from your favorite streetwear brand.

box logo hoodies aren't even 100% cotton anymore
If anything supreme doesn't get enough hate
>>
>>18612996
Okay, i concede to that. As long as you accept that they took it too far. And not the people behind the brand, but the simpboys who would buy everything.
>>

i just kept wearing stussy after they started selling it at kmart when it was peak getting clowned on.

i live in japan. stussy is extremely trendy here right now. it's not preme/ape level of hype but i see people wearing it daily especially women

strangely i feel like essentials never really took hold here but maybe i just havent been on the lookout for it idk
>>
>>18612550
I'm not buying what the worst rapper of all time Earl Sweatshirt wore
>>
>>18613088
lorenzo had his eyes on china money and skipped over japan, thank god though that essentials never caught on
stussy japan is independently run from stussy and arguably ran a clean show long enough for stussy to come back around again, now the japan stores hardly have any exclusives
