>>18615048He's my revised collection of shitters as of last night. All AFFORDABLE, which is what this thread is about. But that never stops the poorfag snobs from shitposting. So let the insults begin.Which ONE starter watch should I have gotten with the money? Or two? How stupid am I for buying a bunch of stuff I spent days researching and won't even mind if it's not great? The Armitron arrives today and the rest are in various stages of shipment. No more cancellations. I'm only going to send things back if they legitimately don't work.
>>18615061I thinknthe one affordable starter everybody should get is the addiesdive khaki field. Should be like $65, has a nh35, sapphire coating, ar, very nice dial and hands, and you can just treat it like a true beater which a field watch should be. Looks good on the metal bracelet it comes with which is surprisingly nice as well as leather and nato straps. That one would be my reccomendation to everyone.
The Chinese Communist Party will grow stronger.
>>18615061>Which ONE starter watch should I have gotten with the money?Erebus.
>>18615069NH35 automatic movement and sapphire for $65? Show me where. I dropped more than that on the addies quartz. I got a variety pack of straps to play around with once the watches start showing up. I guess the Chinese ones might take a while. I know the Seiko has shipped because I bought it from a watch site. >>18615071I don't see why you guys get the blank generic dials. It just seems cheaper and shadier than a knockoff brand. It needs something, if not even just your own custom logo.
>>18615076That's okay. I'm not that into bright white plain watches like that. It's such a common style. Doesn't look all that different from the one above it.I certainly wouldn't spend hundreds of dollars on one. Looks okay on you though. Just the right size. 40mm?Quartz? What's so amazing about it?
>>18615081Dont buy white then. Its quartz and auto, 36, 39 and 41mm, six billion colors.
>>18615083With that "classic" oyster case that every other fucking watch has. And what a bracelet. I'm sure it's so much better because it's on a $500 watch. It just looks like every other watch. It's fine. Your filename says 34mm. Can I add that to your list of available sizes?LOL, I went to their website and it's just that same watch, over and over and over in different dial designs. Why did you settle on that watch brand? What specifically made that the $500 watch for you?Has anyone taken your advice and bought one?
Don't buy souless micro-shitters
>>18615091I think this has everything "erebus" has. NH35, sapphire, etc... Six times cheaper. But it doesn't have the "soul" of a couple of startup hipsters. I really need to give those dudes my $480.
>>18615092I can get this in "sterile green" with no name or logo or anything on the dial, but it just looks wrong. I don't know why.
>>18615092https://www.aragonwatch.com/ARAGON_DF_Carbon_Fiber_p/a642blu.htmhttps://www.aragonwatch.com/product_p/a272blu.htm
LOL, I thought I was done, but how can I NOT order this right here??
>>18615102First one's neat, but it's all rubbery and 42mm is bigger than I like. They have some cool stuff. I'll keep browsing. The second one is too weird for too much money and way too large. But thanks for the links. I like having sites to check out. And I like sales.
lol, jesus. They just specialize in the big boys I guess.
>>18615048wich is the best quality brand for low price watches? I want something that works properly not something from aliexpress or temu

Here's a super sweet deal.
I'm tossing some of these in the cart. Free shipping.
>>18615078Zero markings is acceptable for a custom watch I guess.
Can't go wrong here. Also free shipping. If this works a week it'll be worth it. LOL, this is so fun buying stupid chinese shit.
>>18615128This one's probably gonna be fine since it's shanghai
>>18615138Is it a real timex ?
I bought this one too. We'll see how it works. These have no shipping costs and I can't see how I can go wrong. I also can't see how it's even possible. There must be LESS than $1 worth of parts and labor going into this stuff. Are robots building them? How is it possible? Do I even want to know? Child labor?
wowVery tacky
>>18615154They're junk. You've already got a couple of cheap watches in the mail, after you see what you got for 40 bucks you're going to regret buying all of these.
>>18615154>How is it possibleVery cheap materials. They're basically one step above the toys you find in Kinder Surprise.
>>18615158>>18615160lol, we'll see! They always get me when the stuff in my cart keeps going down like they're being sold in real time. I had to pull the trigger lest I miss out on these amazing deals. That's it for today. I need sleep. Maybe some watches will show up today. I really gotta get off my ass and ship the Seiko 5 back.
They keep putting "inflatable" when they mean "refillable". kek
Why shell out $10,000 for the Rolex when we can cut out the 'Ro' and pass the savings on to you?Meet the "Lex". Everything about a Rolex but with a blank dial and a fraction of the cost. Get yours today!
>>18615178How embarrassing. That lighter watch looks just like my stupid Invicta. The dial and numbers are identical.
Get your 'gaming watch' hereHow ridiculous.
I thought I was being excessive owning 5 watches. Suddenly I feel a lot better about myself.
This is going in the cart. I love it.
>>18615198Goddammit, that's all. No more watches. I can't be spending $200 a day here. I can't believe I just bought that Seagull. I should have gotten the Tandorio for $85.
I didn't even use the $14 off code. Too much of a hurry to save money for no extra work.

>>18615078>if not even just your own custom logo. Are there companies that do this? I'd love to get a good set for me and the boys. Unit branding would be cool.

>>18615235I can think of ten worse addictions. Not sure what you think 'avatarfag' means. But it's not me. I don't like avatar stuff and I'm not gay.

from jason007 44mm 250 dollar with the jap movement upgrade and waterproofing
The mail has come.
Definitely not sending this one back.
I like it.
So I'm definitely happy with this "shitter" for $36. Only 14 more to go. Stay tuned.
>>18615091they love if because it gets them money
>>18615078Probably gone since trump destroyed ali express. I got it last christmas time for $65
>>18615368Based counterfeiter
>>18615189That will just say rolex on it. Ali express has to cover their asses.
>>18615472Wow, no shit? Interesting.
>>18615479Yes, you can find a few other brands with the same thing
>>18615120Low priced positve display Casios. But for the models that reach the Addiesdive pricepoint, it doesnt make sense to buy a Casio resin case that mimics metal. Almost all watch brands are made in China, HK or SEA anyway.
the shitter i want is on ali multiple times. some of them sapphire glass costs extra, others it's the same price. are they just lying?
any square or rectangular automatic watch that I can get for cheap? I'd like to get a mechanism similar to the reverso but other than Replicas I can't find anything good. I wonder if the chinamen from the factories can actually craft them without logos etc on request.
>>18615588No, you'll at least get a saphire coating. You can buy replacement crystals on ali express and put a replacement crystal on watches as well. They're like $25 to buy a single crystal.

>>18615640It hadn't been set yet. It works perfectly fine. Why wouldn't it work? Do you think a company making watches as long as Armitron sells brand new non-working watches? That's a dumb statement, especially for someone snobby who thinks inexpensive watches "don't work". A $36 quartz watch will actually work far better than whatever $3k watch you have a boner for this week. Most of you are envious 3rd worlders with no watches anyway, so I don't care what you think. I bought like 18 watches this week. What do you have to show for yourself?Yes, I know the watches were cheap. This is the SHITTER WATCH thread! You don't get to be a snobby cunt in every thread. You don't get to be that anyway because I'm better than you.
uh oh meltie
>>18615724Sorry you got retorted so hard.
>>18615640Might wanna schedule a session with an optometrist bud
any watch similar to a tank with an automatic movement for cheap? I'd like to create it myself with pieces but the selection from Alix seems limited case wise. Are there other markets where someone can get custom parts?
>>18615683What do you mean? The Swiss make Omega and Tudor for working people, Swatch for jobless people>>18615722>It hadn't been set yet. It works perfectly fine. Why wouldn't it work?Because for 36$ most people won't bother returning it>Do you think a company making watches as long as Armitron sells brand new non-working watches?Maybe not systematically but they clearly aren't spending on quality assurance.>A $36 quartz watch will actually work far better than whatever $3k watch you have a boner for this week.A 20$ Casio will work better than both and you can rely on it to work for years and years. >I bought like 18 watches this week. What do you have to show for yourself? What will you do with 18 watches in a week? You have 1 wrist. I have 1 sports watch, 1 business watch, 1 dress watch, and 1 titanium beater that I've accumulated over a year's time, and that was fast but just because I was fleshing out my collection for the first time. Only one I side eye is the titanium beater because the dial/hands combo is illegible, so I might get a replacement for that sometime in the next 6 months if I see a good replacement.
>>18615863I have two of these, just search for "Zarya" they came from the USSR when the communist party that every working man should be able to afford a nice watch. If you wanted you could easily open this up and paint the dial. It takes standard straps.

>>18616158Thanks. Pasting stuff together is fun. I wish I had reason to do it more often. 3 of them have arrived and I'm happy with them but they're all just plain quartzes with metal bracelets that are too big to wear. The Militado has lume that you have to blast with bright light to get it to work. I don't expect it to stay bright through the night. But also it came in the mail at night and I keep it pretty dim in the house with soft light. Maybe a day in the sun will be different. I'm not sure how that stuff works but I've taken my Timex's Indiglo for granted. I'm excited for the boring Berny to show up just so I can wear it. Same with the cheap Casio. Haven't had a digital in years. The Addiesdive came with the screwdriver looking poker thing for fucking with the bracelet links, but it looks like I need a vice thing to hold the watch down. I'm ordering a $12 bracelet link kit and contemplating just taking them all down to the jeweler to have him do it. The Seiko and the Seagull will still have bracelets too. I already think I prefer a leather or maybe even one of those fabric straps. I may play around with different ones at some point. I'm excited for the mechanicals to get here as I've never owned one. Watches are fun.
>>18616194need to work on your lighting
>>18616107mmm not bad but I don't really like the dial, I want it to be white or black but it looks nice. I found those Agelocer watches online for cheap, they are automatic and with a good enough design (even though I don't like the seconds complication and all the squares). Anyone had experiences with this brand? I guess it's just another chinese brand larping with "Swiss-made" etc bullshit. Also I was kinda thinking in caving in and getting a 1980 gucci watch for 150 bucks. Too bad it's quartz though.
>>18616158Orient bambinos have a mineral crystal, not acrylic. I wish they were acrylic so they'd be easier to polish the scratches off of
>Order pic related >It arrives>Remove every removable link possible to size it (I have 6.25in popsicle stick wrists)>Bracelet STILL too loose>Ever other link is non-removable>Integrated design means a replacement strap will be hell to sourceAnd I really like how this thing looks, too. What are my options? The endlinks flare out to 24mm, but the actual lug piece is 12mm. I'm thinking either take it to a watchmaker to permanently remove one of the sealed links or find an Edifice resin strap that matches those lug proportions.
>>18616473It's even more annoying because I know I only need to remove *ONE* more link to make it fit. How is it that Casio can make every link on their new mechanical and their full-metal G-Shock bracelets removable, but not on here is baffling.
>>18616491Just eat more
>>18616223I just showed one example. Zarya made variations for decades, lots of them tank mechanicals. they're usually 100 bucks and under
>>18616473>>18616491No microadjust? Also post a pic on your wrist.
>>18616634The clasp only has 2 microadjusts, and I have it on the tighter setting. The lug-to-lug isn't even that bad for me; it's just that Casio made too long of a bracelet with not enough removable links
>>18616643And this is how much slack is left after taking off all the removable links
the f91wb is slowly rolling up right into my crib it looks so gay with that WR on the bottom though
>>18616647I would look into getting a smaller clasp might be the easiest thing to try, also the finishing looks pretty good for casio. I wouldn't mind a watch like this but without the subdials.
>>18616671Clasp measurements are 18mm (microadjust side) x 8mm (endlink side). They're not making this easy for me.
>>18616674Well the alternatives are finding a compatible bracelet somehow or drilling out one or two links.Makes me wonder if anyone ever did something like that with a drill press or even a mill.
>>18616677I'm going to take it to a local watchmaker tomorrow and see what they have to say. Worst-case scenario is either resorting to an AliExpress strap or selling the watch.
>>18616473Should've bought JDM. I don't know if Casio do it, or even if Seiko do it anymore, but all my vintage Seiko stuff has better adjustment for small wrists if the watch was made for the Japanese market, and a longer clasp for the western one so you can fit it on massive wrists. As for your issue, you're fucked. If it wasn't tapered, a dirty hack would've been cutting off the end link, I've shortened bracelets like that before with a hacksaw. You can't cut off the last links in the chain because those are the ones with the pin holes. There's so much room in there that I don't think a shorter clasp will save you, and finding a compatible bracelet is gong to be close to impossible.
>>18616685This specific colorway is so damned hard to find that I resorted to getting it off Creationwatches. They're based in Singapore, and the full label on the box is EFS-S650DC-1ADF, so I don't know if this was meant for the SEA market or what. Any other site that had it was based in Europe, so I would've had the exact same problem if I ordered from them.Guess I should get ready to sell this thing.
>>18616687The one listing I found through Buyee even describes it as an overseas model not available in Japan, so Casio made it purely for the Euro market. Seems like I have no choice but to cut my losses.
>>18616689If it makes you feel any better, those plated cases get worn down to bare shiny metal pretty fast anyway, if you want a black watch you're better off going full ceramic and risking it chipping if anything hard hits it.
>>18616643looks very dinged up
>>18616223Nothing wrong with quartz.>>18616473Any black rubber strap should be fine.
>>18616687here's a stupid idea:get a cheap, thin rubber strap and cut the clasp off, then affix it to the interior of the bracelet somehow. you can get very thin galvanized wire at a hardware store, maybe that could work. you'd have to taper the ends and trim the length until just enough material is left to fill the gap.similar to a jewler resizing a ring.not sure about the attachment but might be worth a shot
>>18616732I haven't taken the plastic wrapping off the dial yet>>18616735>>18616817I just discovered that replacement straps for the Oris Aquis and the 35mm Tissot PRX have very similar measurements to this thing's lugs. I ordered some cheap ones just to see if this will work.
>>18616865Oh. It makes the watch look all blurry. I never would have guessed. You're not going to keep it?
>>18616559I found this one online which looks nice for the price. I actually discovered a vintage model of Omega with a square case and dial which I really love and you can get for a few hundreds but I'm still trying to search for one in good condition. I think I should start going to flea markets and such to try to find some good neovintage mechanical.>>18616735>Nothing wrong with quartzI just want something that doesn't rely on batteries. I like the mechanisms and inner working of a classical watch, quartz battery don't really appeal to me.

I want another shitter
>>18616966Cool. I might buy that bottom one. I like nice shitters. I have a couple in the mail right now.
>>18616946That's neat. How much?
>>18616973Priceless.
>>18616972The sellita version is like $360. The no lume on the date wheel may make me insane though.
>>18616975So you don't know? Sad.
>>18616986You need to know what day it is in the middle of the night? Silly.
>>18616988It's the symmetry, I'm pretty sure the doxa clone at the top has a lumed datewheel - although nh35 wheels are easy to get in different lumes and colors and styles
I'm better then you based purely on my taste in clocks
>>18616973It's discontinued iirc. Although they're planning on releasing a smaller version
>>18616991
One of my $5 shitters isn't available. Boo hoo!I was worried it was going to be one of the good ones I ordered. The email didn't say.
Niggas why is zeazame not on ali express anymore??? I ain't paying $200 from their site
>>18615128Based, didn't know they were offering the rocket hand new.
>>18616875I will if these straps meant for the Aquis and the PRX end up working.
>>18617063haven't seen you post this in years.love this watch.
>>18616990>I'm pretty sure the doxa clone at the top has a lumed datewheelIt does.
Do people show off a lot of watches after Christmas around here? I figured people would be buying new cheap watches left and right this time of year. And receiving some as gifts too.
>>18617366lol
>>18617377Why is this funny? Seems like a lot of window shoppers and people with old watches they've had for years. And shitposting incels who will probably never get a watch.
60's re-issue. I like the 38mm case size.
>>18617428The second hand has a block on it?
>>18617436For the lume
>>18617488Oh. It would still bug me. Looks all heavy at the end. Maybe it looks cool in motion. Is it a smooth auto sweeping gradually at 5 or more BPS?That whole watch would bug me. I don't like the flared lugs like that taking away from the roundness of the casing. I don't like numbered bezels either. But that's what makes us all different. I'd still wear it. It's a black Seiko and you really can't go wrong. We all just know what shape we like and every other little detail too. The silly stuff I've disqualified watches over... That's why it's cool that they make so many fucking designs. You ever wonder where they all go? Who buys them? Some I see I can't imagine anyone wearing them. Some entire styles of watch I've never once seen anyone out wearing or anyone mentioning owning. There are tens of thousands of selections and for each one you can't imagine even being commissioned for design, some weirdo out there owns and loves it. I just don't know where that magical land is. Who are these people?
What do you guys think of a wood watch? The rest of these are too colorful and hippie looking for me, but this understated one is classy, and I bet pretty lightweight. I'm going to get one. Maybe not a $30 one off Amazon, but a wooded watch of some kind for not too much money. I love buying watches so much. I've yet to have any regrets. And not much regret can be felt in the low hundreds and sub $50 level.
>>18617576And I especially hate how these guys are always wearing suits. Like someone buying these embarrassing watches you wouldn't be caught dead in in a business environment is wearing them with his fancy suit to the big merger meeting.Yeah, right! lol
>>18616491what's baffling is you haven't figured oceanus is the only good casio aside from a168 and maybe the a gshock square
>>18617583people also wear suits to fancy parties, not that you would know anything about that
>>18616927Nice, I have this exact Zarya, still works fine, mine is supposedly from 1989/1990 though it's been hard to confirm, the paperwork I got with it doesn't really seem to match
>>18617909Duro and 5000s gshocks are the only good ones
Which one would you choose? JiangHun JH0301G
>>18617957I can imagine a steampunk cocktail attire in which such a design would be loved and worn with mixed era 19th centry suits
Oh yea boi I'm now a billionaire or trillionaire got me a genuine Roldex.
>>18618008Kek
>>18617957The same still applies. No one who would own a suit would purchase such a watch. I maintain that no one really ever purchases or wears them, so it's even more retarded to advertise them on men in suits. Why do you feel the need to argue when you all agree with me? Those watches I posted are lame and no one wears them with suits. Just agree and thank me for posting what you were thinking and we can move on. There's no argument here. We're all on the same side.
>>18617579I'm not sure why but wooden watch seems very off to me, almost repulsive. Maybe because it supposed to be this mechanical, precise and refined thing and wood is the exact opposite.
>>18618008>Says it's a Day-Date>Has neither a Day nor Datewere they even trying?
>>18618000Exactly. Any party with a relaxed atmosphere would be great for a funny watch like that.
>>18618018I appreciate your confidence in your opinion, I too often believe that everyone must be secretly believing what I believe and just messing with me. But why are you so confident in this particular opinion? It doesn't seem obvious to me at all that no one would purchase such watch. Most watches that look like that are actually quite cheap and worth it to be a conversation piece at a party.
>>18617994I really don't like this trend of weird waffle patterns on watches.
>>18616975Yeah, also like this, what's with all the waffle watches. PRX really did a number on things
>>18617579check out bobo bird
>>18618381yeah it always just seems like a cheap way not to offer a sunburst dial
>>18618040How is wood "the exact opposite" of precise and refined compared to some other material? The fucking gears aren't made of wood. You've never seen a grandfather clock? Should those be made of titanium? LOL
