What the fuck is the difference between a regular and a slim fit? What is the most serious, traditional classic style?
Each source gives different information. I know I definitely don't want to go slim.

A regular fit is straight fit but with a gradual taper all along its length from the inseam, similar to dress pants. It's roomy in the hips and thighs but a bit tapered below the knees, but not as snug as tapered or carrot fit. The leg opening in regular fit is around 7". In straight fit it's usually 8" and above.

"regular fit" is basically the way pants are supposed to fit as determined by master tailors hundreds of years ago and everything else is just a way to get you to buy more pants (in which you will look stupid)
