What would you buy if you won the lottery? Would your style change completely or would you add to your existing style? Would you still be moderately reasonable or would you buy the incredibly expensive?

In the immediate, short term:
I would purchase more/new of what I currently need/want. It would be a small amount (I do not need/want very much, right now).

Later, in the long-term:
I would research the highest quality products of all of my current needs/wants/favorites.
Once I've established what is the highest quality product of my interests, I will replace all of my goods. I would only keep what has nostalgic value.
I would also probably purchase multiples of that "high quality" product I decided on as a back-up replacement for if/when my choice lost performance or needed repair.

My variety is unlikely to change, though I would be more willing to "stock" some other gears/fashions as a mild "just-in-case" precaution/option.

>I would also probably purchase multiples of that "high quality" product I decided on as a back-up replacement for if/when my choice lost performance or needed repair.
Not to mention they keep discontinuing shit and/or making it shittier later.
>>

Depends what kind of lottery
If it was absolute fuckyou money, I would hit up a bunch of bespoke tailors and just go nuts.
>Heavy wool greatcoat that I can only wear two weeks a year
>Wool gabardine trench coat
>Wool field jacket
>Winter and summer leather jackets
>Safari Jackets
>Wool and linen trousers
>Wool and linen button up shirts
>Different heights of leather boots
All things that I don't have the money for right now or will never have the money to justify (not even non-bespoke). So the style would change considerably. Bespoke shouldn't be *too* costly, so no more than a few thousand bucks per piece. Think you run into diminuishing returns at that point.
I'd also buy tons of 100% non-superwash merino underwear and wear that exclusively. So what if it breaks after a few months.
>>
>>18629963
Let's say it was that 1.4B Powerball. Even after the government steals half the money you would still have ~700 million and could comfortably get 7-28 Million a year just living on the basic 1-4% interest from it.

Rating the sanity in getting those clothes 1-10
>Boots
6 - good boots can cost that much. Ostrich and those decorations cost extra. Not too much for a statement piece.
>Jeans
2 - way too much, can probably be found in comparable quality for less
>Jacket
4 - seems you pay xtra for the print in the lining that noone will ever see anyway
>Boots
10 - Less than 200 bucks for decent leather boots is a steal
>Shirt
1 - Way too much for a shirt
>Buckle
10, perfectly reasonable price for a buckle you like
>T-Shirt
10, ok price for a quality henley
>Belt
6, again the price is ok for a quality decorated belt
>Backpacks
Can't say, not much experience wit hbackpacks.
>Mesh shirts
9, prices are ok and mesh is great for the outdoors. If you want it for the outdoors. 4 if you want it to go to fetish clubs, there are better options for that (I would guess. No personal experience. Cough.)
>Apron
1, yo what the fuck who wears aprons to look good
>Sweater
7, Price is ok for a quality sweater.
>Watch
10, perfectly ok price for a watch
>Shirt
2, way too much, also who combines organic cotton with lycra
>Blanket
8, price is ok for a new wool blanket.
>Leatherman
10
>Belt bag
8, but only because that's legitimately how much it would cost. Actually wearing that atrocity gets a 2 from me, but hey, you do you.
>Hoodie
10
>Shirt
10
>Gun
9, rather get a true 9mm but 380 isn't so bad

I already have a cz75 p09. I want a cc gun. You can get the jeans, apron, shirt for ~40% less in japan. A british distributor controls the western market and puts a huge markup on them. It's a workshop apron not a kitchen apron. The shirt I am just curious about the brand that is known for hemp. I want to buy primarily hemp clothes. It's made in the usa while the other hemp clothes are made in sweatshops. The watch itself is difficult to find and goes for $500-700 in the standard colorway while that run would likely go for ~$2000. The $100 is just for the bracelet. You can get mass produced "tooled" western belts that are stamped on rollers from boot barn for like $80 but hand tooling takes hours and hours to do.
>>
>>18630258
Also that jacket is sheepskin and made in usa so $730 is a ridiculously low price.

>jeans, apron, shirt for ~40%
Ok, that seems a lot more reasonable.
>It's made in the usa
Asians sweatshops make decent quality shirts, or south americans for that. You can make a political statement, but frankly - how much of your clothing can you afford to have made in the US? The effect is limited. Maybe you want to support the manufacturer specifically for what they do, that makes a bit more sense.
>$2000 watch
No. Just no. Noone will look at that watch closely enough to tell the difference from a $200 watch. That watch is for when you want to feel good about being able to spend money pointlessly. You don't seem to be that guy. Spend it on things that actually make a difference.
>sheepskin made in usa $730
Yeah, actually acceptable then.

My dad likes to wear long leather jackets, so I MUST get one of those eventually. Seems to be a less popular style though, sadly. I am a bit obsessed with this company that imports south american production at ~500€, I can justify that, but pic is their only longer model. Aero leather makes even better shit, but they also cost twice as much so that's not happening. Probably. There are many other leather jacket companies but I find it hard to get a good overview.

I mean I just ordered a $300 san martin. All my watches are ali express. I have an nh35, a vk63, and a st19. But these are all clones, a speedmaster, a top time, and a khaki field. This new one will be an nh34 and an original design. That said I could order a new normal alpinist for $530 right now. I will be buying the iron heart when my wife and I go to japan and I'll look in tokyo in watch shops to try to snag that white/gold alpinist at a good price. Or I might just get this kuoe which I also love, this is still a 4hz movement but has a typical ~40hr power reserve compared to the alpinists ~70 hours.

My dad also had a very similar sheepskin with an interior map lining when I was a kid. He wore it until it wore out. It's funny you want a leather jacket like your fathers as well. Cockpit usa has good prices here and then you can get pendleton or ll bean cheaply in the states as well. I have a pendleton wool cardigan I got for $130 that is normally $265. I've seen that in yuroland you can get good deals with small trips around and can get good wool cheaply in ireland and scottland
>>
>>18630361
Forgot pic, this is close to $1000 though and I have no idea if it is cheaper in japan
>>

>>
>>18630397
I'm pretty sure red wings are significantly cheaper here but I just have 875s and black cherry beckmans, fairly standard. I would like those ostirich cowboy boots and then maybe a good pair of blucher mocs. But I already have a pair of suede mocs with a crepe sole that would need to wear out first. You seem to like wwi/ii type things generally. You should check out cockpit usa. They have several items that may be of interest to you including a wool naval greatcoat
>>
>>18630411
>>
>>18630411
Red wings are being imported at acceptable prices, might be an option. Blacksmith rather than iron ranger.
I'm not *actually* interested in a greatcoat, there's like one week every year that it's cold enough to wear. Or rather, it's at the end of a very long list.
>>
>>18630424
I have beckmans but I think they're discontinued. You have to be careful because instead of raising prices red wing has made their boots cheaper and now often don't even have a shank. The 875s never did because they have a wedge sole and don't need one without a heel but from what I had seen the newer heeled boots have no shanks anymore.
>>
>>18629949
I'd hire a stylist as well as a designer to further develop my look and help me to either find rare pieces I wouldn't have known about or design them specifically for myself.

I would drop stupid money on boots and wool clothes. I would try not to look like a guy who just won the lottery so I don't get ransomed as I work in a pretty rough city. I'd also not quit my because I would go insane with nothing droll to do.
>>
>>18631402
I would immediately move to a low population rural state like new mexico, idaho, wyoming, and build an underground dome house then spend all my time taking music lessons and collecting degrees, lifting weights, and going on destination hunts. Fuck living in a city the only point is work and all it does is make life into a series of people getting in your way. Everywhere you go there's just people in your way.

Just lift weights, do cardio, and don't eat goyslop. It's that simple. You should buy clothes you really like. I guess you could do custom made if they can source the same materials and make it as well as there may not be patterns for what you want. Most of them tend to just focus on suiting not things like technical or heritage clothing.

A dietician, a well-equipped home gym, and a personal trainer who'd come regularly. Beyond that basically just the same shit I already own but in smaller sizes.

I have a Shield Plus and like it, pretty similar to the BG but with 9mm. The ridiculously tiny size of the BG is appealing though.

Home gym minimals are;
Squat rack + oly bar + plates
Bench with incline
Dumbell set from 15lb-120lb
Dual cable machine
Assault runner
Dip + pull up/chin up station

Another thing tou definately want is a full shop with wood/metal/leather/fabric/plastic tools and machinery
Computer controlled:
Cnc table
Plasma cutter
Laser engraver/cutter
3d printer
Embroidery machine

Normal stationary power tools:
Drill press
Table saw
Table router
Band saw
Table grinders
Table sander
Table skiver
Planer
Tile saw
Lathe
Heavyweight and lightweight sewing machines
Fume hood and soldering station

Then a variety of hand and hand power tools from heat guns to impact drivers to leather punches and needles to dye brushes to long wrenches. It's honestly endless.

i'm very happy with what i own and wear on a regular basis, i think i'd mainly just throw money at the wall to get a few grail pieces that i've wanted since i was younger but couldn't afford then, that have now become unobtainable/less obtainable due to not being produced/sold anymore. pretty much dressed by superfuture/didn't grow out of 2014-16 core but who gives a shit.

most of these can be bought with a little bit of patience and knowing where to look, but with unlimited money i'd just try and pay unreasonable prices to get them as fast as possible in the best condition possible.

I don't even want to comment on how useless the snow jacket is when your body loses the most heat through the head, ancles, WRISTS, and belly. It is completely nonfunctional. Slides are whatever since you only wear them from the locker room to the pool and sauna and back to shower.

I already have a basic home shop, no bench/machine tools yet though other than a shitty jobsite table saw. 3D printer and a MIG welder coming next. I have a good amount of basic tools, car jack and stands, long wrenches, torque wrench, breaker bar, multiple rachets, enough to do basic wheel/suspension/brake work and then angle grinder, hand tools, power drill, oscilating tool, then I have a cheap leatherworking kit and a hand sewing kit. Also I have a little anvil, a vise, and a propane torch. What I would like first would be a juki or babylock sewing machine, better punch tools for leather, a better skiver, a table saw, a decent 3d printer, and for sure some power sanders and a table belt/disc sander. I have too many wants in general though because I also want a nas set-up in raid 5 with jellyfin and online accessible file storage. I already know solid works very well.

Leather depending on weight you can just saddle stitch by hand. I'm not trying to make jackets or anything. I bought it to resole some boots and did so successfully otherwise I've just made a few wallets but I would like better pricking irons and a punch because honestly all you need to do basic leather work is pricking irons, an xacto with a bunch of blades, a cutting board, a divider, some contact cement, and thick needles and thread. You could get into basic leatherworking with decent shit for
$30 - Pricking Iron Set
$5 - Hole punches (for use with mallet)
$10 - Divider
$5 - Heavy duty needles
$7 - weldwood contact cement
xacto and a utility knife you already have

Otherwise you just need to buy some leather and thread. You could make some wallets or a holster or sheathe with just these easily. Or add toggles to some drawstrings.
>>
>>18634303
Oh but if you want a bunch of card holders you will need a skiving knife, $8 for a cheap one. All these tools are on tandy, rocky mountain leather supply, weaver leather supply in varying levels of quality. Leather obviously can be ordered there or elsewhere as well. I wish I had known this before buying amazon shit.

>>

>>
>>18634303
Yeah I know that's how it's done for heavier leather. You'd use a sewing machine more for upholstery or making clothing or whatever. I actually probably have a leather project coming up, speaking of that, I've got access to a 40 watt laser cutter/engraver and want to make some kind of sheath/holster for my calipers since I'm sick of cutting myself on the pointy-ass tips when they're in my pocket lol.
>>
>>18634801
I've laser engraved leather before, just brace yourself for the smell. It also burns dark past the top layer so the color is weird to judge. I'm sure you would do test swatches, but it's weird to guess whether to invert the negative space on. Honestly you would have more fun buying some basic basket weaving stamps and bevelers on tandy
>>
>>18634865
Actually, just cut some thin wood templates with the laser cutter and cut along the edge of them with a utility knife. It's not really good to engrave or cut because of the smell and texture you get.
