I have 3a hair styled similarly to pic rel but not so drastically combed away from the forehead. Historically once a month I apply shampoo and then conditioner which leaves my hair very soft and temporarily with less definition. In recent months I have noticed my hair is frizzier, uglier, and more unruly, so this is what I have begun doing every day >at the end of shower rinse hair thoroughly with warm water>scrunch in a tea tree conditioner and leave it there for 3-5 minutes (ill often sing a song during this time)>rinse out conditioner with warm water and then leave shower>gently pat and scrunch with a towelIt really seems to be working and is giving me more defined and healthier looking curls. I am still uncertain about what do next time I shampoo though.

Try leave in conditioner? Try both actual leave in conditioner and also normal conditioner used as leave in.
dirty/oily hair creates as much frizz as dry/damaged hair does. you have to find a balance.i shampoo every 3 or 4 days, condition every time i shower.use less heat on your hair. i just turn the shower to cold when im wetting my hair, or washing out the shampoo or conditoner. most leave in shit is a meme i think. youll get better definition using a clay or sea salt spray.pat dry is fine in a pinch but most of the time i get better curls letting it air dry. pat for like ten seconds, wide tooth comb, add a little clay to the ends of my hair, ruffle and style with my hands, let air dry.products barely matter but im not sure tea tree oil is that great
